Beginning to Cultivate

William sat both Val and Isaac down near the main desk so he could explain to them how to begin cultivating.

Before you can begin there are a few things you need to know William began. For starters the different types of energy throughout the many worlds, universes and planes of existence. William then flipped his hand palm up and 3 orbs of different colors started floating above his hand slowly orbiting around each other.

There is mana which is this one right here he said pointing to the blue sphere. The next is qi pointing to the white sphere. And finally we have aether pointing to the last sphere which was purple. These are the base 3 energies that all worlds have access to and can use although almost all of the worlds in the universes only use one of the 3 at a given time. Rarely there will be someone who will use a 2nd type and they end up either growing way to strong that others try to take them out or are hailed as people with excellent talent.

What energy will you be teaching us to use asked Isaac.

I'm getting to that, I am still explaining things so just give me a moment William said. 

Anyways back to what I was saying. When you gain enough energy your body will break through its rank and go to the next one until you reach a point where you can't gain anymore energy and at that point it is probably time for you to reach the next tier of power. Every few tiers you will need to condense the energy you have into a higher form. So mana will become spiritual mana, qi will become spiritual qi and so on. After you reach the peak of the spiritual tier there is another stage after called void. As he said this the energy balls floating above his hand slowly changed color from there dim colors from before to a bright vibrant color and than finally to a dark version of themselves that looked like they contained a black hole within the center. After this stage there are higher versions of the energy but I'm not gonna explain much more than this for now. 

Eventually once you reach a certain point you can no longer upgrade the energy type you will need a new type of energy to continue growing. This energy is called origin energy and is the source of all of the different types of energy throughout all of the worlds. The 3 orbs above WIlliam's hand began orbiting around each other faster and faster before slowly fusing together into a single golden orb the size of his palm. 

This is origin energy and it is the energy you will be learning to cultivate. While cultivating this will make your growth slower than others you will be much stronger as a result. Also if you cultivate one of the 3 Energies to its peak and then try to gather the others to convert into origin energy it takes awhile and is much less efficient. So it will be better for you in the long run. Now both of you sit cross legged on the floor and I will explain how to you how to cultivate.

Sitting on the floor both Val and Isaac waited for William to teach them how to began cultivating as both of them wanted to use magic really badly. After waiting for a moment William waved his hand creating two magic circles under them and then began speaking.

Throughout the body there are 15 seals that need to be opened in order to cultivate your energy. There is one on each of your wrists, one on each of your ankles and then one on your third eye located in the middle of your forehead. These are the main 5 for your body parts. The next two are located by your mana and qi temples which is your solar plexus and below your belly button. The aether temple shares its space with your 3rd eye. Finally there are the elemental seals which are located along your spine and each one relates to a different element of the main elements. Usually someone would only unlock their elemental affinities but because of your bloodlines you require all of them to properly cultivate. Now the gathered energy should be enough so you should be able to begin.

The magic circles will help you sense and gather the origin energy into your bodies. Start with one of your hands and try to gather the energy surrounding you into the tips of your fingers. Usually it helps if you imagine it like something. Now you two are in your 20s so your energy veins are probably clogged so you will need to pull in the energy and then force it out to take out the impurities as well. You need to make a pathway to the 1st seal located on your wrist before you can progress any further.

Nodding both Isaac and Val closed their eyes slowly entering a meditative state. William watched the two try as the origin energy slowly made its way towards them before dissipating.

After many hours of trying and failing William stopped them from continuing.

You two did well William said. While you didn't manage to draw the energy into your body you made good progress. With more practice you should be able to fully draw it in. But for now you two need a break. I can see you are mentally exhausted and also getting quite hungry. For now rest, I will grab you something small and quick to eat.

Nodding both Isaac and Val fell backwards tired and feeling a headache coming on. They closed their eyes and decided to just lay there until William came back.
