Pirate ships

On the ship, the sleeping young lady was undergoing a complete checkup.

Alyssia sat on top of the skull of the Sea King that was secured to the front of the ship and was lost in thought.

Her original intention was to remain low key and not show off her overwhelming strength in the first place that she visited so wished to use guns and staff techniques but fate or her surrounding environment simply didn't allow it to be that way.

Was the world or the system telling her to just focus on her path and stay upon that route rather than trying to do things like playing the pig to eat the tiger.

Looking at the sea ahead she couldn't help but sigh…

The next location would definitely not allow her to act that way and instead she would be very busy in her own way.

Maybe she should just risk offending people just so that she can gain more fame points per day?

That way she can just grow quickly and acquire many skills without having to wait around a place for her points to refill for a long time before she can purchase the next upgrade.

The biggest problem before was that the crew is far too small to handle everything alone if they have to split up to do different tasks, if she unknowingly makes enemies because she was not careful enough then how is she going to feel secure when leaving her crew members alone?

After this experience, she had learned a little about the west blue where the criminal elements have a lot of power over..

Often times if she appeared weak it could also have just as bad consequences as if she used her full strength in public.

Sometimes it was required to show some force but other times it wasn't so she just needed to adjust to the new environments.

Now that she had two new people on board, she could get some additional help.

Just as Alyssia was having some mixed up thoughts about how she would proceed next, Carrot yelled from the lookout. "Approaching ships incoming!"

Alyssia looked behind the ship at the small dots that were growing closer from the distance and frowned. "Archie, stay on the helm and keep the ship steady and on the same path. Me and Nica will handle the cannons again Tristan is busy so I need both Carrot and Alfred to help with reloading. Alfred to get adjusted to the ship just follow Carrot first so that you do not get lost or make any mistakes. Clifford… you can help too but if there are signs of any ships getting closer or wishing to board the ship then you must be ready to defend the ship before anyone else. We have someone injured on board so we cannot afford to have Tristan distracted. If possible try to stop or hit away any incoming cannons if you spot one about to hit the ship."

They all began to get into their positions and make preparations for a battle if it came to that.

Many pirates flags began to come into her view so Alyssia could help but place her face into her palm. "So much for getting away quickly but I guess this is better than fighting with many spectators."

Many cannons were fired and were getting closer to landing near the ship very quickly so Alyssia called out. "Archie watch the other ships direction of sailing to better predict their cannon firing paths and range. Try to steer out of the way of some of them."

Archie kept a lookout while slowly making some adjustments on the ships direction now and again but his moves were a little inexperienced.

Alyssia shook her head. 'Well… it's not like he has that much experience so I cannot fault him for this.'

Now that their cannons were within range, Alyssia could now make use of her own as her and Nica took aim towards the front ship.

One cannon flew towards the front of the ship where the crew members were reloading their cannon and another hit the mast of the ship with a powerful enough force to do a large amount of damage to it.

As if it had done a large amount of damage, it seemed to bend at a strange angle a little at a time showing that it was on the verge of falling if they did not quickly stop and repair it.

Another cannon was shot towards the mast of the second ship in the same manner by Alyssia which was followed by the enemies cannons being targeted by Nica.

Meanwhile there would be occasions where a cannon ball was about to fly towards Nica or Alyssia but all of a sudden the sound of a slashing sword was heard as Archie tried his best to cut it but he only succeeded in knocking it off course a little.

In response to that, Carrot moved quickly to kick it off of the ship completely to avoid it accidently breaking something.

Alyssia turned to him and spoke. "Don't try to cut the cannon balls unless you think you can grasp the techniques necessary to cut or deflect a metal ball. Otherwise you will only damage your swords."

It did not take too long for three ships to be hit in the mast and have their front cannons targeted.

Alyssia looked at the pitiful looking defeated pirate ships and then frowned. "Should we go back and fight them or should we just leave them like that and continue? Hmm…"

She then turned to Alfred who was waiting nearby for the next instructions. "What do you think? Is it worth going back just to drag those almost broken ships and the pirates with us or should we just move on?"

Alfred pondered and then said. "We have enough berries for now and for the future so long as we do not spend recklessly. After the damage has been done to the masts they will be very vulnerable to strong winds so the possibility of the ship having to be left at sea or fixed up again is quite high. We should also not waste any unnecessary energy on a close range battle just so that we can subdue and hand them in just to collect their bounty."

Alyssia turned to the others and said. "Well done everyone. Now you can go back to what you were doing before."

She turned to Alfred who had a look of worry on his face and said. "Come with me, I need to discuss a couple of things with you."

Alfred nodded in response to her request and followed behind as she went to sit back on the top of the skull.
