Justiciar - Lord of the Mysteries

The MC is transmigrated as Prince Edessak in world of Mysteries two years before the plot starts. How will the new Edessak survive in this world filled with chaos and madness, will he fall succumbing to his fate? or will he bring order to this world full of chaos. For this is Legend of The Justiciar. (I started writing this novel as I felt really bad for Prince Edessak, he is forced to commit suicide by his land steward, William Sikes. Later his father used his death as a scapegoat to explain the Great smog incident to the churches and public. And I also love the Arbiter pathway a lot, so I started writing this stupid novel. English is not my first language so do point out my mistakes.)

05) The Balancers

1st March 1347

[General POV]

As the blazing sun hung overhead, Prince Edessak entered the MI9 main office which was in Backlund. It was located at West borough in Bellotto Street. It was a small three-story building that looked inconspicuous with door that has a '9' sign on it.

The core of the office building is underground, while the top is mainly filled with civilian personnels, calling the underground environment bad would've been an understatement, the atmosphere here was oppressive and accidents occured at any given time due to the failure to watch over the Sealed Artifacts.

Edessak along with his two chief guards then slowly into the underground floors. After reaching the second last floor, he saw someone looking towards him, it was Kilgor, as Kilgor's hand reached out for a handshake so did Edessak's. Smilingly Kilgor said "It's a pleasent surprise to see you so soon Your highness, I'd like to follow me"

Kilgor then Edessak and his company to the bureau, as they sat down, Kilgor started explaining on how to create his organisation, but told him that he was free to choose it's members and specify the structure but he had to also take responsibility for their actions as he would be the official representative of the organisation in MI9 headquarters. "So Prince Edessak, the committee has decided that your organisation would be working as Intelligence Exchange and side-by-side control the amount low sequence beyonders from lawyer and arbiter pathways in Backlund. Here is your appointment letter, and specific rank will be determined later on. You're contact you'd be me and Lieutenant General Pantek: Deputy Director of MI9 and Team Leader of the National Security and Counter-Espionage Team. Am I clear to you my prince", to which Edessak nodded and smiled." So Prince have you decided the name for your organisation?"

Kilgor mused as he looked at the young prince deeply. Augustus thought for while and then said with vigor, " I have decided now, I will be calling my organisation 'The Balancers', I beleive this would be the most appropriate name".

"That's quite a daring name My prince" said Kilgor as his eyes mysteriously twinkled. As Edessak following Kilgor cerimoniously stood up, he saluted the Brigadier General in typical Loen fashion who was now his superior and wished goodbye as he left.

[POV: Edessak]

Winter makes people lazy, even beyonders. I had ended up consuming the Judge potion last week, and due to me being a literal Young master of this story, I didn't even had to struggle for the potion formula and ingredients which makes me rather sad for Mr.Fool, dude had to kill a high Sequence beyonder from his own pathway, which should technically be impossible, but well he did blessings from Mysteries I guess? I had already taken the Sequence 6 Judge potion, which gave me rather thrifty powers, core of which was 'Verdict'.

They can issue commands and rules that will force people to follow them.

Imprison: The target is surrounded by a transparent wall, as if he were trapped in a sticky liquid. It is difficult for even the spirit body to penetrate it. This effect can be ended early by using Release.

Release: Release the target affected by Imprison.

Death: The user quickly travels to the target to deliver a fast and powerful strike. This is so fast it leaves behind afterimages.

Flog: The target will be whipped by a shapeless whip, which can break the target's clothes, open the flesh and reveal the bones.

Confinement: The room will be sealed to prevent entry or exit.

Exile: Forces the target out at high speeds. Even spiritual bodies can be blown away.

Prohibit: They can formulate rules that prohibit certain actions and beyonder abilities, forcing everyone in a certain range to comply.

No matter how fast I seemed to my contemporary beyonders, i still felt slow, as I spent most of the year working on organisation and not exactly Acting. But the hard work did make my organisation quite popular, who were now considered specialist against wild beyonders from lower sequences, and most orthodox organisation had acknowledged our existence, mostly due to being an unofficial auxiliary MI9 organisation and their leader being a member of the Royal family. My leadership skills definetly did make me popular in high blood circles and even in official Loen forces, but also offended the 1st Prince Jevington Augustus, my elder brother who didn't enjoy even the fact extraordinary existed in this world, and those who didn't really wish well for the Royal family in general.

However the reason which made me almost lose control, was the fact that my sly 🦝 father /Prince of Abolition/ George Augustus III had decided that I should get married to.... Miss Audrey Hall.
