New world
I opened my eyes slowly like usual and glaced around, i could feel the disproportional nature of my sorroundings as it was not the room i was used to. I found my self in a gigantic cave with my neck feeling all kinds of weird I tried to look sideways only to find back filled with grey shell-like substance, it took a few minutes to finally acknowledge it, turns out am a freaking tortoise now.
I walked around my new home searching for a clue to why am here cause I was sure that the crack i had last night wasn't enough to pull me here and after a few moments i decided to just lay down after remembering how long this little guys usually live for, 'its decided, I'll sleep till something interesting happens' i said to myself not knowing what to do at the moment as i recognized i have been reincarnated but too confused to continue ignoring how but that's for later as when i turned around at the sight of bright lights entering my new home, I looked over to see a head half the size of my shell, 'holy don't tell me how much bad luck does it take to wake up as a lab rat or in my case a lab tortoise?
"well well well, is my little charming prince ready for a bow" sounded a snorty girly voice from the side of the man staring at me. "I told you that this is a very delicate experiment don't go around messing with it" the man said with a gumpy voice, my mind switched off of there conversation and took in the rest of the lab where i was at and turns out it really was a crappy lab more like a bedroom. The two new visitors were brother and sister arguing about how nice it would be if I had a bow right now, from the little I had heard turns out i was damn expensive and the boy got it as a form of condolences after he failed to get a dream career as a biologist, weird right who wants to be that, turns out there is really not so much opportunity to encounter an animal this days.
As the brats continued tgere bickering the girl finally won her brother to allow me outside for a little while, I grumbled inside my head at how pitifull my life turned ou to be and moved my slow body on the lawn of my new home, 'well atleast i don't have that much to fear' i comforted myself a little while looking around me, it was pretty much a technogically advanced world so not so many dangers.
After a few days of acclimating to the new life, i relaxed a little finding joy in being the ultimate lazy reincarnator ever seen.But things aren't going to be that quite always as I found out about this world my worries started to fill in, turns out the whole world right now was ruled by some weird dude emperor called 'the fawkes emperor' of the accension empire, I came across this piece of news after being left outside the lawn and being picked up by a buffy middle aged man, turns out my golden finger was a total capput, the man was my dear neighbor who took me in after seeing me outside.
After that i would always find myself over that house after the smelly brats go to their academies that's when it happened, I woke up from my usual sleep looking around only to find some nice soup on the table, my foodie instincts kicked in and i gobbled it up only to faint after a hot sensation spread through my body.
"oh its awake" I heard from a new kind of face looking down at me, 'oh turns out he wasn't a single bastard' I said to myself looking around to find the guy who poisoned me.
"Huh, it survived thank god i won't have to explain it to miss miller" the killer walked upto me and picked me up roughly, I decided to go back to my shell to sleep as he took me back to my owner's house.
After a day or two my mind started getting way more clearer and i could remember alot of my past life, 'huh i actually forgot about it' until a detail came to my mind, a novel with an empire called accension empire, my mind froze after realizing where I transmigrated to that's when it happened the first black out i have seen since coming to this world and a free fall experience of the world crushing down I hid myself in the shell as i let the horrors of the dimensional descent sink in.
