The Actor part 2

Much to Daydream's dismay the food took 30 minutes to arrive. When it did a tall slinder man stood at the door holding a pizza. Also to Daydream's dismay when her young actor met the tall pizza man he paid, took the pizza, and closed the door. No playful banter, no flirting, just business. Daydream could have cried.

"Well, you say take out and he orders pizza," Cupid laughed.

Daydream looked at him stunned, "Would ordering something else have brought different results?"

"I don't know, maybe," Cupid laughed shrugging his sholders, "I mean there is this cute little asian girl who delivers for the Korean place down the road. She and your actor have been making eye contact the last couple of weeks."

Daydream could have spit she was so mad. "Why didn't you say that before I told him anything?!" she yelled.

"Awe, my bad Daydream. I'll do better tomorrow," Cupid smiled an innocent smile.

"There won't be a tomorrow!" Daydream yelled.

"Oh, so you are giving up on him. He is such a good actor. Would be a shame," Cupid faked a frown.

Daydream looked at the young man. He would be a great actor. Maybe she needed Cupid a little more. "Fine! See you tomorrow," Daydream sighed defeated. Cupid left with a wave and a smile. Daydream decided to stay with the young actor to see if she could accomplish her task without cupid.

***The next day***

Daydream obviously failed and Cupid arrived bright and early. "What have you done without me all these years?" Cupid smiled.

"My life had fewer annoyances, that's for sure," Daydream frowned. "He has been reading the same line over and over. At first it was charming, now I want to strangle him. Can he order the food now?"

Cupid chuckled, "it is 10AM. The Korean place opens at Noon."

Daydream looked at him stunned, "Then why are you here so early?"

"To spend time with you of course!"

Their bickering/flirting lasted for almost two hours while the actor reread his every line, over and over again. At noon, Daydream whispered for the actor to order Korean food. From the specific restaurant. Fifteen minutes later the young Asian woman came to the door.

Daydream wrapped her hands together hoping that it would work. Of course the Actor paid and took his food but this time there was flirting. Daydream pumped her fist. The pretty girl initiated everything and young actor mostly just blushed. They also introduced themselves.

"Would you like to go on a date sometime?" Lilly asked.

"Oh!" Aiden exclaimed, "I would love to. Y..yy. you really want to go out with m me?" He stumbled over his words.

"Well, yes. Is there a problem?" Lilly asked.

Aiden just frowned. "I'm..."

Lilly held up her hand, "I know. I don't care about that. It is a part of who you are and I accept it."

"You know?" Aiden blushed.

"Of course! we have lived down the street from each other since we were kids. How could I not know?" Lilly laughed and patted Aiden on the shoulder. "Saturday? I will pick you up here and we can go out to eat."

"Sounds wonderful," Aiden said closing the door and leaning against the frame. "Isn't she perfect? I have liked her since we were little."

Daydream looked at Cupid, "So, what's the secret?"

Cupid laughed, "Daydream, that is his business. Leave him be."

Daydream eyed the man closely. He was still a strange young man with stringy black hair and a crooked nose. He had a nice voice and a slim build. His eyes were black brown and he was taller than Lilly but only about 5'6". Daydream couldn't place it.

Cupid coughed, "Daydream, he is trans." He frowned. "It doesn't matter to Lilly it shouldn't matter to anyone else. You can't even tell just by looking at him."

Daydream froze, she felt so bad for judging him. "I'm sorry." She had been around Trans people before but she didn't even think that Aiden was.

"It is fine. Just stop staring at him. It is making me nervous. Anyway, we have a couple of weeks worth of work to do here. So, I will be seeing a lot of you." At that he vanished.

Daydream continued to work with Cupid to help Aiden and Lilly end up together and to make Lilly encourage Aiden to act. It took two weeks but they were successful. They just had to start everything after that the couple could handle it.

"Well, that was actually fun. Thanks for the help Cupid," Daydream smiled.

"Until next time, my sweet Daydream," Cupid said as he vanished.

Daydream also vanished, going back to the cave. When she arrived the cave was empty. She looked around and found a blood stained note. She read it. The note fell from her hands and she fell to her knees.

Bad Dream arrived shortly after. He looked angry but the second he saw Daydream his anger went away and he became worried. He went to ask her if she was okay and when she saw him she pulled his face to hers and kissed him. The shock of being kissed made him grab her shoulders and pull her away.

She couldn't speak so she just handed him the note. He read it quickly then dropped it. He hadn't let go of one of her shoulders so he just pulled her in and kissed her lips.

Their kiss was so passionate that when they broke apart they were both gasping for air. Daydream looked at Bad Dream, "Daniel, we are finally together again," she then picked up the note, "however Tragedy is doing something very stupid so we need to find her."

Bad Dream nodded, tears in his eyes. Find Tragedy then be happy.
