Chapter Eleven
'I want Euphorial Cross as my wife' Epraim commanded.
'Who the hell is Euphorial Cross' yelled king Otis.He had been putting up with the spoiled prince behavior because of what he wants from him but it seems his tolerance is running out.
'Watch your words Otis' came the threatnening words of the prince.
King Otis gulped but couldn't reply back because of his fear that kicked in.There are alot of words he want to say out loud but his tongue remained stiff.
In the king's mind:but i thought his aide said my daughter will fit in the role of his mate what went wrong?what is special in this girl that my princess lack? I have never even heard of her name before,since i don't know her that means she is not part of the nobles in my kingdom but a commoner and why did her father's name sounded quite familiar.Amid his thoughts he heard his daughter retorting voice
'So you rejected me because of that commoner.(she faced her father),father prince Ephraim rejected my advances because of a mere merchant daughter who is not even a noble.That aside,the girl didn't even have a good reputation among the villagers,she is despised by all and there is even a rumor surrounding her,the rumor of her being a witch.Then she faced the prince and added i don't think she is good enough for you considering her background and reputation,what if she turned out to truly be a witch what will you do?Choose me instead of her,I'm a better choice'.
'Yes she is a better choice the girl has nothing to offer you but my daughter here have alot of things to offer you.She is a noble,she is knowledgeable,she is intelligent,she has a good intuition and all in all she is a beauty.You don't need to go through the stress of training her to be a royal and also marrying my daughter will increase your reputation and influence,she is in all ways perfect for you' king Otis tried to make him change his choice by showing him the best parts of her daughter.
'It seems you have forgotten who i am Otis.NO ONE DICTATES WHAT TO DO FOR ME' Ephraim said in a menancing tone and all the royal family flinched.
'Since the prince is determined to marry the merchant's daughter i think we should not waste more time here discussing about his choice or not,we should go ahead with the marriage so as to seal the alliance don't forget father that you said you will give him anything he wants as a the alliance solidification' butted in the king's son Daniel.Princess Diana immediately threw his brother a glare since he just completely ruined her chances with the prince by supporting him,but then she still have a mother so she looked at her mother for support but she just shrugged her shoulders as if she doesn't care about what is going on.
'I don't need your consent for my marriage it's just that i want to pay respect because she lives in your territory and also i will need you to inform her family about my marriage proposal since you are the king here'.He made his intentions clear to them.
'Let me add to my words:NO ONE TOUCHES WHAT I EPHRAIM HAS CLAIMED MINE.Turn it to royal your mantra,if i see anything out of place before i come back for her i will taint this palace with blood of the one responsible for it'.He said in a cold and devilish voice while staring at the human princess particularly because he knew she will find ways to torture the one who took away what she wanted the most which happened to be him.
All the people who heard his voice shivered in fear without the exclusion of his aide.
'Damon you know what to do' Ephraim nodded and then vanished from the room.
Silence prevail over the room since no one is ready to talk.Damon broke the silence by asking for a parchment and a quill and ink.After he was given what he requested,he wrote down a marriage proposal for the prince and then gave it to the human king to stamp his royal seal on it so that the Cross family will know that the written letter is from the king's palace.
After Damon completed his task he said to the royal family 'I will advise you to follow the prince words and not disobey him cause he tends to do what he says.We will be coming back a month after to pick the girl,make sure the letter gets to her family before then'.He bowed and left the room.
Damon went straight to their assigned guest room so as to pack his and the prince stuffs into the carriage that is waiting at the entrance gate.When he got to the carriage he saw the prince alreadily sitted with closed eyes pretending to be asleep which also happen to be his "do not disturb me sign".He climbed in and sat quietly rejoicing that he will be going home...
