Chapter 109: Walking zombie

With a promise at hand, Bai Yi Yang will need to work hard for the whole week, she sigh when the class finally ended.

After returning home from school, she gave Grandpa Zhou their house spare key, she said she already contacted Uncle Duan and Uncle Lu about what she wanted to be added or what need to be installed. Grandpa Zhou only need to oversees them at work sometimes since she have a full trust on the two people. Saying early on that Bai Yi Chen will settle the payment with the two people later.

After that, she ask Bai Yi Ling if she can cook now? Which Bai Yi Ling nod in response. She then told Bai Yi Ling that she may need to cook for the next few days. Which Bai Yi Ling reply with a confuse nod.

Next she meet Bai Yi Chen, saying that she can't wake up 15 minutes early in the morning because she may stay up at night and overslept, asking him to wake her up. He also agree to do so. There is also one more thing, Zhang Yong staff may comes to pick up the ripe fruit this week, telling him that she already set a price with Zhang Yong, just wait for Zhang Yong to check the fruit quality and wait for him to pay.

Then lastly she said to her youngest siblings, asking them to be less noisy and not to disturb her this week.

"Why? Jie, do you have something important to do?" Bai Yi Fang ask.

"Yes, I need concentration and peace." Bai Yi Yang said with determination.

"Okay." The two immediately agree and play far away.

Bai Yi Yang went into the kitchen, cook the rice and fried eggs. It was only 5.00 pm, Bai Yi Ling went to take a look at the kitchen and saw her older sister already eating.

"Jie, you eating dinner now?" Bai Yi Ling ask. What is this odd behaviour? This is so unlike her older sister.

"En. After this I will start working, you sleep with Fang Fang, I will use a quilt to sleep in the room at the right side. Remember to wake me up tomorrow." She said. After that she didn't say anything again. Bai Yi Ling also just sit and watch her older sister eat.

After that Bai Yi Yang went to take a bath and just like what she said, she really entered the bedroom right away, she bring her laptop and handphone there and didn't come out unless she need to use the toilet. And then the siblings didn't see them again until the next morning.

She was also quiet in the morning and just ate what in front of her before following her siblings going down the mountain. Fang Fang also didn't sit behind her as usual but she didn't say anything.

In the bus, Zhang Ming Ming sit quietly besides her, that's because Bai Yi Chen already warn her not to disturb Bai Yi Yang.

In the class, after Mr.Ling finished taking attendance, Bai Yi Yang disappear to the Chemistry Lab, she stays in front of the computer and didn't mind her surroundings, even Sir Austin was ignored many times. But when he saw her working on their research paper, he immediately told the other teammates not to disturb her too.

Bai Yi Yang attend the class while she is making draft in her notebook, she will type it when she have time. Her afternoon break is also the same, she will eat lunch alone in the canteen and then head to the Chemistry lab.

During PE class she will opt out and stay at the bench dozing off, this has become her resting time instead.

When she returned in the evening, she repeat the same routine of eating early and enter the bedroom with her electronic gadgets and notebooks.

First day passed, second day passed. On the third day which is Thursday, around 9.00 pm at night, the Bai siblings suddenly heard loud laughing from the bedroom that Bai Yi Yang is using.

Bai Yi Chen frown and knock before entering the bedroom. Right there lying on the quilt is Bai Yi Yang. She is still laughing as she face her laptop.

"What's the matter?" Bai Yi Chen ask.

"I am done. I am finally done!!" Bai Yi Yang laugh again.

"Yang Yang, are you okay?" Bai Yi Chen ask worriedly. They actually have been worried the whole week seeing her behave like never before. Too immersed in doing her research paper.

"Jiejie…waaa…waaa…." The two small siblings who is also in front of the door cried loudly, Xiao Ling also joined the crying duo, now it really become a bit chaotic in the house.

"Wha..what happened?" Bai Yi Yang ask her three siblings. She was just happy that she laugh, why are they crying now?

"Jiejie..waaahhhh…" The three children cried even louder. Bai Yi Yang rush to them and hug them.

"I am sorry..what's wrong?" Bai Yi Yang said some random words to soothe them. She look at Bai Yi Chen who is standing at the door confusedly.

"You scared them. You didn't talk for three day and tonight you suddenly laugh aloud like that. What is going on actually?" Bai Yi Chen ask with a frown. He really don't like the version of Bai Yi Yang this passed few days. It was too scary and distant, as if it wasn't her.

"I was doing the research. I don't have enough time so I need to fully concentrate when I have time." She said explaining the situation.

"Xiao Ling, Xiao Mo, Fang Fang..jiejie is sorry if I scare you okay? I promise this will never happen again." Bai Yi Yang said. Only after hearing the promise did the siblings stops.

"Promise?" Bai Yi Fang asked.

"En, promise. You see, jiejie have this big project going on now. It's supposed to be just a relaxing work but we end up needing to finish certain part by tomorrow. So jiejie have been out of it these days because of that." Bai Yi Yang said.

"Jiejie, you seems like different person. I don't like it, it's better if you get angry than become like that." Bai Yi Mo said frowning, his eyes is still red from crying.

"I will never do it again. I also don't like being like that." Bai Yi Yang sigh. She have heard other people describing her when she was in the zone. They said that she is like a walking zombie who almost no consciousness towards the real world. Her body is there but her mind is not there.

'Ohh..the zombie is awake.' TongTong said, it also came from outside.

'Host is truly amazing, you even ignored me, did you know that?' TongTong said, feeling aggrieved.

'You better not take on challenge like this again, it's not only you now, you have your siblings, friends, pets. Did you think that you are the only one affected here, look at how thin your siblings are. Humph!' TongTong give her an earful of scolding.

"I..I.." Bai Yi Yang is speechless. When she look at her siblings, they indeed become a bit thinner.

"Come here.." She called her siblings again and give them a hug.

"I am so sorry..I was selfish and didn't think about all of you.." Bai Yi Yang said sighing. Her siblings start sobbing again, but softly this time.

"As long as you don't do this again." Bai Yi Chen said as he softly caress her twin sister messy hair.

While they were comforting each other, don't know whose stomach it was who makes the sounds.

"Who's hungry?!" Bai Yi Yang ask.

"Me!" All of them raise up their hand.

Bai Yi Yang then brought them to the kitchen to look for food. When she look at the fridge, she saw the dumplings. She immediately decided on making pork dumpling soup and also steamed eggs. She chat with her siblings as she cook their late night snacks. Both dishes are quite easy, she finished cooking them in no time.

'Host, you even ignored the notification. 4 times cooking fried eggs, 3 days for 8 hours at school, total are 28 points.' TongTong said.

'Thanks.' Bai Yi Yang smile and start eating with her siblings, TongTong also have its shares.

When they finished eating, the younger siblings don't want to let her go, so Xiao Mo also ends up sleeping with them.

The next morning, she wakes up at 5.15 am and take a bath. She met Bai Yi Chen in the kitchen steaming buns.

"You awake?" Bai Yi Chen ask.

"En.." Bai Yi Yang nod. Since Bai Yi Chen is here, she went to help her siblings.

Only after that did they eat breakfast and head down the mountain. Bai Yi Fang ride on her back once again. That little girl becomes very chatty again.

While Bai Yi Yang was too engrossed in doing her research work this few days, the Bai siblings has been quiet too. They don't want to disturb her and also feels a bit down because Bai Yi Yang seems like a totally different person, even more quiet than the Bai Yi Yang before she fall ill. Who still have a mood after seeing their sister who will brush their hair, cook for them, told them stories suddenly acting weird like that?

"Ah..Yang Yang, you okay now?" Zhou Zhu Yao ask in a concerned tone. She seems to have seen her weird behaviour the whole week too, honestly it was a bit scary.

"En. See you later jie." Bai Yi Yang wave goodbye at her.

The same things happened when Bai Yi Yang met Zhang Ming Ming. At first Ming Ming was sitting quietly besides her, she didn't utter a word. Only when Bai Yi Yang said something then she finally respond.

"You scares me Bai Yi Yang. It has been a few days, if you continue for another week or so, I will really think that you have turn into a walking human with no soul. So scary." Zhang Ming Ming said. Bai Yi Yang laugh at this and told her the truth, how she was too focused on doing her research and she disconnected to the surrounding.

"Are you a wifi? How did you do that? You bright minded people is scary sometimes." Zhang Ming Ming Ming said. Bai Yi Yang only giggle.

"Nice bag.." She then praise the new bag that Zhang Ming Ming is using. This is the bag that she gifted Zhang Ming Ming on Monday, she bought it from the shopping mall in City Nan. She went to buy one for herself and Bai Yi Fang, so she just buy one for Zhang Ming Ming as souvenir. Bai Yi Ling didn't want one from that brand, she bought one from other shop.

"Talking about this, my classmates saw it and they said it cost more than 200 yuan. Is that true?" Zhang Ming Ming said, which Bai Yi Yang nod in response.

"En. But they will last very long. This is a one time thing, next time I go anywhere I will just buy you a keychain." Bai Yi Yang says jokingly.

Zhang Ming Ming laugh at this and tell her the story of how her classmates envy her and ask her to bring them along to eat lunch with Bai Yi Yang or hang out with her.

"You don't know this. They thought I am not favoured anymore since you didn't even talk to me during lunch these few days." Zhang Ming Ming said grievously.

"Fool. Why do you listen to other?" Bai Yi Yang hit her arm lightly.

"It was that bully who said it. You know we are at the same class right. If not because of your twin brother who also knows me and says hi to me once in a while, I think I would have become her target." Zhang Ming Ming said.

"That's too much. If it really happens you must tell me immediately okay?" Bai Yi Yang is a bit concerned. If Zhang Ming Ming is really bullied because of her, then she will not stay still.

"Don't worry. She won't dare, if she really bully me, I will make sure many people saw that and I will report her. My parents may be farmers but did she think that she can do anything she wants because her mother position is a bit high? Humph!" Zhang Ming Ming pat her chest.

"Good. I believe you." Bai Yi Yang nod. After that they chat until they arrived at their own class. Bai Yi Chen is following behind holding Bai Yi Yang bag.
