Chapter 110: Revelation

When she arrives at class, she chat briefly with her classmates.

"Yo! The zombie is awake.." Liu Shan said out loud from his seat when he saw Bai Yi Yang talking with her girl classmates. His words is exactly the same as TongTong it amazes Bai Yi Yang.

'Don't compare me with this human please..' TongTong said. Bai Yi Yang laugh and answers Liu Shan jokingly.

"Classmates Liu Shan must have been scared.." She said.

"Right, right, right. Not only me, the rest is the same. A fine person suddenly changed. Only Yi Chen dare to talk with you because you look at us coldly." Liu Shan said, coming closer to chat.

"Right ah Yi Yang. What happened really?" Mo Yi Ru who was always cheerful also cannot arouse Bai Yi Yang interest this past 3 days.

"Teacher, do you known why she is chosen?" A senior from the Olympiad team ask their Maths club coordinator.

"She didn't say it. But Sir Austin also went to meet me last week, he said that he don't mind Student Bai Yi Yang joining the Olympiad team but he said that Student Bai Yi Yang play a big roles on their team, he really cannot let her go no matter what." This was what the coordinator told them.

They weren't idiots, since Sir Austin said like that, then Bai Yi Yang must be much more than what they see. Her name is not well known but she must have a hidden ability since she is chosen to join both their Olympiad team and the R&D team.

When they ask Li Jian Yu who is also in the Olympiad team, Li Jian Yu didn't say at first but then some people who is close to him told the other that it was Bai Yi Yang who is fully responsible to write the research paper. This news really amaze everyone in the Olympiad team.

Su Long also didn't mention it to Bai Yi Yang before. He is actually curious, he almost asked her when he gave her the Olympiad past years questions compilation but he didn't do it in the end. It's just that he became more aware of her presence too. He also noticed her weird behaviour this week, something that he didn't even bother with before.

Back to the classroom, the students who knows what Su Long is talking about is shocked and amaze. As a top class member, they all also have a little dream to join a team like that. So not only Olympiad team, Bai Yi Yang also joined the research team?

"The one our principal mention during the assembly? Didn't they choose like 4 people only? Yi Yang you really in that team?!" Fang Xiu Ying eyes widened.

When she heard the principal announcing that their school will send a Senior R&D team this year, she was ecstatic. She is only in the first year in Senior high school, so she knows that she will not have a chance this year but she can try out next year. How many seniors wanted that golden opportunity? Don't say about getting a Certificate of Excellent Performance that every participants who qualified to the final get, even having the Certificate of Participation after registering their name in the competition is already good enough.

But she knows her ability, she is still far compared to the seniors that also wanted a place in it. If anyone from their batch is going to be chosen, then it should be Su Long first before her. Who knows, Bai Yi Yang is one of the team member instead.

"Yes, I am in the R&D team. I need to finish some work way ahead of schedule, so that's why I was acting weird a bit weird.." Bai Yi Yang grinned.

After greeting the teacher formally, Liu Shan cannot wait anymore and tell the matter to Mr.Ling.

"Mr.Ling, Student Bai Yi Yang is in the R&D team." Liu Shan said out loud. Mr.Ling then look at Bai Yi Yang, puzzled.

"Is that true?" Mr.Ling ask.

"Yes." Bai Yi Yang answer.

Mr.Ling is finally enlightened. No wonder the principal praise him for having good student in the weekly meeting with all homeroom teachers on Monday. He said something like his student is stable in their academic, will be representing school in big competition, competent and have good discipline. At the 'representing school' part, he thought the principal was talking about Su Long and the recently added Bai Yi Yang who is in the Olympiad team now. Who knows that it was because Bai Yi Yang is also in the school's R&D team that the principal recently hyped up.

"How can you join the team?" Mr.Ling cannot be more straightforward. This is what everyone wants to know. How come she, a student with no big name in school was chosen?

He then suggest to make a team and enter the competition this year." Bai Yi Yang said. Her explanation sounds like she was the reason Sir Austin wanted to do a research and start a team. But, that is also true.

"You read Sir Austin research paper and you talked about it with him. Then he decided to make a team and you are also in the team?" Mr.Ling said which Bai Yi Yang answer with a nod.

Mr.Ling still cannot believe it, out of her student, even if someone is going to join, isn't it supposed to be Su Long, Fang Xiu Ying or even Bai Yi Chen? Bai Yi Yang is not bad in her study, but to join a team that going to compete internationally like that, it requires more than just academic performance. Yes, she changed a lot, but even in class he still caught her lost in her own world sometimes.

"I will talk about this with Sir Austin later. I think it is good enough that you are in the Olympiad team so that your academic won't be affected." Mr.Ling said. Bai Yi Yang didn't say anything, she didn't say yes or no, she only smile at Mr.Ling.

'This teacher is a bit annoying..' TongTong grumble.

'It's understandable, the me before really don't have the ability. I have sent my work to Sir Austin, Sir Austin can shut him up with that.' Bai Yi Yang said.

"Yi Yang is in the Olympiad team too?" The classmates that is not in the Maths club was shocked again. How many team will she joined?

After that Mr.Ling take their attendance and leave the class. The first thing that he must do is meet with Sir Austin. How come he wasn't informed of this matter as a homeroom teacher?

When he arrives at the teacher's office, he didn't see Sir Austin, he guess that he must be in his office in the lab. He immediately made a call to the lab and it was the lab assistant who pick it up, saying that Sir Austin have a meeting in the principal office.

"Looking for Sir Austin? He is in the principal office, saw him enter with Madam Lilian and one senior student's parents." A teacher who sat next to him heard the conversation.

"Why? Something happened?" He asked.

"You didn't know? Sir Austin had a small conflict with Madam Lilian regarding his newly formed R&D team, one of the member is Madam Lilian student and her performance in class drop a bit. Madam Lilian wanted her to quit and focus on her study instead, she said the research may not be a success and it will only delay the student progress in study. So this morning, they are having a meeting, Madam Lilian and the parents wanted to see something at least, if not they insist so that student left the team." The teacher said in a low voice. Well, teachers also gossip with each other. This is a juicy gossip about teachers conflicts.

"Something like that happened?" Mr.Ling is really clueless.

"Yeah. Interesting right?" The teacher laugh.

Mr.Ling suddenly remember that he also wanted Bai Yi Yang to quit the team, he finally decided to join the meeting too.

When he arrives in front of the principal office, the staff told him about the meeting. He said that he also wanted to join because of the same concern. The staff can only make a call and after after a while, Mr.Ling was allowed in.

Inside, there is 5 people including the principal, they are currently looking at the big screen, rows of English words and scientific term was shown in it. He had made research before, he can understand English, but even he is dizzy when he read this. He really can't bear it when it comes to scientific words.

"Just in time, Mr.Ling, you said you are also concerned about your student. Sit down and have a look, this is Sir Austin promise. I also have read it, it is a top notch research. I almost wanted to steal it for myself." The principal joke which the happy Sir Austin laugh in response.

"Sir Austin, if it is like this, I also wanted my daughter to continue joining this team. This is a very good opportunity, no parents will not want their children to be involved in big project like this." Mr.Wang, Wang Yi Lin father said.

Wang Yi Lin parents comes from an educated background, they can differentiate good and bad quality work, this is a top quality work that Sir Austin is showing them. How can they let their daughter missed this opportunity? If they still insist on her quitting the team, then they really are obstructing her good future.

"Mr.Wang has made a right decision. This opportunity indeed come once in a lifetime. This is Student Wang Yi Lin's final year, she won't have this chance again. Its only that, this research is supposed to be confidential for now, it is better if nobody know about the title and content, anyone here please keep it a secret." Sir Austin said.

The parents nod, they looks very satisfied. Even Madam Lilian didn't say anything, she is the only one who is still reading the research paper now. Madam Lilian is full of praise towards the writer.

"Then, we will leave first." The Wang parents leave the principal room after that.

Now, Mr.Ling thinks that he need to speak up. The research is good, but it makes him even worried about Bai Yi Yang, will she be able to complete a difficult research like this? The top student seniors is already having a problem with studies, what more her.

"Mr.Ling, what is your concern, you can say it now directly to Sir Austin and we can settle this at once." The principal said.

"It's like this. I heard from my student about how this research started, is that true?" Mr.Ling ask.

"Yes, yes. Student Bai Yi Yang opinions and suggestions indeed influenced me a lot until I decided to do this research again." Sir Austin smile at Mr.Ling, he is Bai Yi Yang homeroom teacher, he need to be kind to him.

"Then, I think it is enough to give her a credit, this research will put too much pressure on her. I think it is better that she doesn't join this project. She is still young, maybe she can join the team next year.." Mr.Ling said. Sir Austin face immediately turns ugly.

"What do you mean Mr.Ling, you want Student Bai Yi Yang to leave the team? This, I will not accept. I witness her do this during afternoon break time, if I let her leave after all these than I am not qualified as a teacher. "Austin..this.." The principal called him but he already leave the room. The principal sigh.

Mr.Ling was dumbfounded. Madam Lilian pat Mr.Ling shoulder and leave the room too.

Your student apparently read his papers and gave him many tips, better methods and approach, that's how he get the inspiration from this. He even make a draft with you student and show it to me. He can proceed with it on his own, but he wanted to the students to benefit from this, so he formed a team. Student Bai Yi Yang was already part of it before the team is even formed." The principal patiently explain.

"That..Student Bai Yi Yang really did that?" Mr.Ling cannot believe it.

"Yes. What I am saying is all true. Then earlier this week, Madam Lilian also had a concern about her student, the student parents wanted to see proof. Lab results is impossible to be obtained this short time, so Student Bai Yi Yang which volunteer to be in charge of writing the research paper write all these in 3-4 days time. We all had done research, we know that it is almost impossible, but she did it. I will let you read her work, you take your time and think about it. You shouldn't underestimate your student ah." The principal said and hand over the pen drive to Mr.Ling.

Mr.Ling came out of the principal office with a pen drive in hand. He still can't believe it. Does he have a genius student in his class? If not a genius, then who can do such an excellent work like this in 3-4 days time?
