But before that, it was time for Steve to reunite with his friend Bucky Barnes. Jack was waiting for Bucky to recover a bit from the beating he gave him and the brainwashing before taking Steve to him.

He could heal Bucky, but then it wouldn't make sense to beat him up as Jack did. After all, Bucky had done many wrong things, albeit under the influence of brainwashing and mind control. But it was a fact that he killed Tony's parents.

That's why Jack also took some pictures of Bucky and recorded a video after beating him up so that Tony would ease up a bit on his anger. Jack entered Bucky's apartment and saw him on the floor, having already recovered a bit.

But since he had been trapped on the floor for over a week, he had done all the things he needed to do there. Jack just used magic to clean Bucky and the floor and sent him to his magic prison, which was now empty.

Jack gave Bucky some food and water, which he instinctively ate and drank. He was stronger than a normal human and wouldn't die from that. He didn't even seem so weak for someone who had been beaten up and without food or water for over a week.

After seeing Bucky fed and without thirst, Jack threw some food he had prepared for Norman and left it in his prison cell. He then opened a portal to where Steve was, as using the mind stone was still faster than relying on EVE's help to find someone he knew.

It seemed that Fury, Steve, and Sam were hiding in this place, discussing how to take down a smaller Hydra base when Jack suddenly arrived and opened a portal near them.

"I don't know how you do it, Battle Sage, but it'll be hard to find a hiding place when you can always find us without investigating first," Fury said, annoyed.

"That's right, so you better do things right and not be my enemy, you can't hide from me," Jack replied.

"Stop arguing, you two. Battle Sage, what did you come here to do?" Steve asked.

"I have some news that might be good and sad for you. I found out who the Winter Soldier is, and I think you know him," Jack said.

"What? I know the Winter Soldier? That's impossible. I was frozen, and Natasha said he's been active for the last 50 years," Steve said.

"You'll know when you see him. Do you want to come alone, or bring Sam with you?" Jack asked.

"Sam can come with me. He came to Europe to help me, and I trust him," Steve replied.

"Alright, Fury, I think it's best for you to wait here for a few days. Steve might take a while to come back," Jack said.

"I don't have a choice but to wait here. It seems like I wasn't invited wherever you're going," Fury said, irritated.

Jack didn't care about Fury and took Steve and Sam with him to his magical prison. The two saw the Winter Soldier, who looked injured and exhausted. They had no idea that Jack had imprisoned him there after their fight.

Soon, Bucky realized that Jack had returned and brought others with him. He looked to see who it was, and when Steve looked at Bucky's face, he was shocked. Now he understood why Jack said it was both good and bad news.

It was good news because a friend of his from his time whom he thought was dead was actually alive and well in the current time, but it was bad news because something must have happened for Bucky to be alive currently and become an assassin for 50 years.

"Bucky? Is that really you? How is this possible, I thought you were dead," said Steve.

"Who's Bucky? Who are you?" said Bucky.

Bucky was confused, and when he didn't take the shocks to erase his memory and personality, and neither was frozen, his memories began to return, and Captain America's appearance would only accelerate this, so Jack left him alone for a week.

"What happened to Bucky? Why doesn't he remember me? He looks very hurt and hungry. What did you do to him?" said Steve.

"He tried to kill Natasha, you know I like her, I beat him up, broke his mechanical arm, some ribs, and some bones, but I didn't know he was your friend, and I left him without food for a few days," said Jack.

Steve was very angry with what Jack said, but it was true that Bucky almost killed Fury and tried to kill him and Natasha. If it were someone else, Steve wouldn't be so angry, but because it was Bucky, he couldn't control himself.

"You didn't have to be so cruel. We're heroes and we have to do things differently from villains. You even broke his bones and left him without food," said Steve, annoyed.

"Don't tell me what to do. I didn't kill him back then because I was angry and wanted to make him suffer, otherwise, I would have cut off his friend's head in seconds as I did with the Helicarrier." Jack said.

Steve was quiet when he heard that, he remembered Jack's scene with the Stormbreaker cutting the Helicarriers that were giants easily, if he wasn't angry with Bucky he could just kill him, if that happened Bucky would be dead.

"Why doesn't he remember me?" asked Steve after calming down.

"You're smart, Steve, you already know why. When the Germans saved him in World War II, Zola experimented on him, allowing him to live until today, but they must have brainwashed him," said Jack.

"Bucky must have forgotten all the people he knew and probably doesn't even remember who he is. For the last 50 years, he's been programmed to kill only," said Jack.
