Chapter 72

Eragon and Rhaenyra arrived in Kings Landing, while they weren't nor sure about this whole thing.But after meeting Aerys, Rhaella,Rhaegar and Viserys.

They were surprised about the fact Aerys was sane, atleast to an extent.It was probably because of Rhaenyra.

While Rhaegar was an annoyance, he was trying to suck up to either Rhaenyra or Eragon, which was't working.

While most believed House Whent was displaying their wealth and splendor, some believed the Whents lacked the funding for the prizes and were instead supported by a "shadow host"

Maester  Yandel  suggests  Rhaegar Targaryen, the Prince of Dragonstone.

Rhaenyra seeing the decline of Kinglanding was slightly sadned and muttered"It has changed so much."

Ergon nodded and said"During Baelor's reign anything related to North or Middle Earth was burned,so education went into a decline and a Maesters seem to have emerged again,although they are not trusted with same level or with any sort of influence as before."

Eragon knew they have seat in the small coucil,but the power or influence they previosly had is gone.

Rhaenyra sighed and said"I am just here to see from what I understand other than Rhaella,rest are showing signs of maddness in them."

Eragon went to meet Eddard,Brandon and Benjmen,he met them from time to time.This was mainly because of there mother wanting to have connection with Middle Earth and there branch family Anduin there,while Rickard kept his distance from them.

All three apologized to Eragon for any sort of slight there father may have did against.But Eragon waved it off and talked with all three.

While Eragon started talking with Eddard"I heard very good things about you."

Ned smiles,while Ergon added"Some of them are not so great."

Ned frowned and asked"What might that be?"

Eragon smiled and replied"That you behave too much like an eagle instead of a wolf."

Ned was disgruntled hearing that,but then saw his brothers not saying anything and Benjen even giving slight nod.Which made him go into deep thought,while looking at Ned asking"I wanted to be honorable as my teacher,Jon Arryn."

Eragon nodded and replied"While having honor is great,but never over do it and expect people to keep there oaths and words.Since all of these people are human,they will overcome with greed or anger.So you must keep balance of both."

Ned took it too heart and decided to think more about it.

While King Aerys II Targaryen attended the tournament only because Lord Varys warned him that Rhaegar, his son and the crown prince,arranged the tournament as a pretext to meet with several high lords to discuss removing his father as king in an informal Great Council.

Many in attendance were shocked by the king's physical decline.

During the tourney's opening ceremonies, Ser Jaime Lannister was admitted into the order of the Kingsguard. King Aerys II Targaryen is said to have believed the cheering of the crowd was for himself instead of Jaime, and a young Pia was impressed with the handsome knight.Although Jaime wanted to compete in the tourney the next day, Aerys commanded him to return to King's Landing that night to guard Queen Rhaella and Prince Viserys.

During that time Cersei,who came fo watch her beloved twin for the first time saw Eragon,let's just his elven features made her fall for him hard.

One thing Cersei wanted from that moment was Eragon,especially after getting more information from her Uncle Kevan and hearing about immortality,

Normally Cercei would have scoffed at it,but she just saw Rhaenyra Targaryen and Eragon arrive on there dragon and both of them looked like they are in their prime.

Cersei eyes lit up wirh lust and she thought"I will make you mine,then you will forget about your Targaryen wench."

This was when Cersei Lannister became obsessed with Eragon.

During first night within the Hall of a Hundred Hearths was a great feast for lords from throughout the Seven Kingdoms.

Besides Starks and Howland Reed,other northmen in attendance were Dustins, Hornwoods, Manderlys,and Mormonts.

Lord Robert Baratheon drank wine with Ser Richard Lonmouth.

Cersei would try multiple times to catch the eye of Eragon,who made sure to ignore her.

Eragon had only one thought"Nope, I am not going there,she was crazy and I am not going to get involved with her."

While Rhaenyra who noticed this whispered"She has been trying to get your eye for a while now."

Eragon replied"I am not going there."

A part of him did find her gorgeous,but he was not about to fall into that pit.

As he then focused on Benjen Stark teasing his sister, Lyanna, for crying at the singing of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, so Lyanna poured wine over her younger brother's head.

Lady Ashara Dayne danced with Eddard, their relationship was not unknown to everyone.
