Chapter 6: Doom Patrol

Years 1993 Doom Manor Covington, Ohio.

Arthur was now sitting in the living room in the doom manor. In front of him is Dr.Niles (Chief) of the doom patrol surrounded by his team member Robotman, Elastic girl, and Negative Man.

"What can I do for you Mr. William?" ask Niles to Arthur.

"Just call me Arthur, and I'm here to ask for your help Dr.Caulder I read about all of your work and your superhero team the Doom Patrol" Arthur answers.

The trio behind Niles was shocked at Arthur's word. As of now, the doom patrol has been doing things in low profile, and they were never called superheroes. Instead of always being shunned and called freaks by the people that they save. Even Niles found smirking at my statement.

"then Arthur what help do you need from me" ask Niles.

"well Dr.Caulder just like your teammate there. I also have a unique ability."

Arthur's statement even furthers their shock. They didn't think that Arthur was like them.

"Can you please elaborate your abilities for me?" Niles asks with anticipation in his eyes.

"my ability is luck. I called it probability manipulation. Over the years I try to train my power. Still, my greatest breakthrough is when I can manipulate other people's probability. I can't give them too much good or bad luck for now. And I can't do it to multiple people. My power over probability also be done subconsciously as I always get good luck and my enemies will be plagued by bad luck. My reason t being here is to learn more of my power. And seeing your work I think you might be able to help me out just like you help them."

As Niles ponder about Arthur's power. "your power is fascinating. The power to manipulate probability is quite new for me. I might need some time to research this power. In the meantime, would you like to stay here" Niles offer.

Arthur accepts the offer and starts living with the doom patrol. Artur gets to know the other member quite well. He spends his time training his power and learning from Dr. Niles.

He got quite a lot of knowledge from Niles about the supernatural in the DC Universe. It looks like in the past, Niles was part of an organization called the bureau of oddities, a government organization dedicated to researching the supernatural. He told Arthur his life story from defeating a former nazi and his work rescuing the doom patrol member. (Author Note: Arthur's power also affects his chance of getting like by other people, it happens subconsciously. Just like what happened with the Wayne family. Basically his good luck makes other people's attitude toward him increase as long as they spend time.)

Arthur's relationship with the other began to change as they began to accept Arthur as their member. Arthur even went and help the doom patrol fighting the bad guy and was even given a matching uniform by Niles.

Arthur is really enjoying his time with the doom patrol. He also likes to help Niles with other inventions chief have.

His mastery over his power also grow and now he has gotten a new breakthrough. He is now able to manipulate other object probabilities with some parameters. For example Arthur can see a lamp and control the lamp probability of breaking when a person enters. Arthur can manipulate the probability of a tree falling down when his target people came. ( the power can be used on an object in Arthur's eyesight. He can also set a trap in the future for a specific person, with this new ability and his previous ability to manipulate other people's abilities.
