Chapter 33.Test

From the room labelled F.12R5 came five guys. One slightly taller then the rest standing at 6'1 apart from one large guy. He had grey hair and silver eyes.

He was a lightning elementalist of the Second Grade and was of the second stage.

His name was Curtis.

His surbordinates were Roy, a large guy standing at 6'6. He had tonned muscles that one would mistaken him from a body cultivator but that was the effect of his bodily constitution.Roy was a fire elementalist of the Third Grade and he was of the second stage.

The other three were Andrew, Julius and Keith. Andrew was a wind elementalist of the Third Grade and he was of the second stage.

Julius was a darkness elementist of the Third Grade and he was of the second stage. Keith was an earth elementalist of the Third Grade and he was of the second stage.

If one looked carefully, they would not miss the wounds on their faces like they had been stomped on. Their shirts were unbuttoned and lost some of the buttons.

One could not miss the anger in these guys. They were Matthew's gang. They had suffered twice. One was being humiliated infront of their peers.

Next they were punished for running away. They locked the door and were about to leave when the door opened. Matthew stood there slightly calm.

"Find also about the elder who brought him here. We might get important information about his origin," Matthew spoke and closed the door before his guys would reply.

The group walked down the stairs and finally stood outside the dorm.

" Keith your task is to follow him the whole of today and find anything fishy about him and what we might have missed," Curtis spoke and Keith left.

" Julius, I need you to find about how they came to meet and their relationship. Don't leave anything untouched, it could be important," Curtis spoke and Julius left.

" Andrew you should run a background check on him. Whatever small details don't leave it out," Curtis spoke and Andrew left.

" Now Roy, your task will be simple, find out about the other guy, his background and how they became friends," Curtis said and Roy left.

Now it was up to him to find the elder that had brought Alaric. That was going to be tough though...

"Where will I get that damn elder now?" Curtis asked absent mindedly.

"I could help you with that," a voice came from behind. Curtis turned around to look at who spoke.

"And who might you be?" Curtis asked.

Standing before him was a guy 5'9. He had green hair and pale green eyes. He was slightly slim and not that well built but he was healthy.

"If its that guy who embarassed you, I can give you every details I know about him. We came from the city same city you see..." The guy spoke .

" And why might you want to help us? We have no ties. I even don't know you," Curtis spoke though, his interest had been piqued.

" First things first, my names are Seth Mathis from Lotus city. The guy you are currently looking for is from the same city. His name is Alaric, do you still want to know more?" Seth asked.

"And what is it that you want in return. You are not a saint right?" Curtis spoke with a knowing smile.

" Only your boss has the right to hear whatever information I have. Would you kindly take me to him?" Seth asked.

" I don't think that's a good idea. We cannot meet boss without news," Curtis said scratching the back of his head.

" And am I not news?" Seth asked as he stared at Curtis who was suddenly caught in a dilemma with a knowing look. There were two chances.

" I don't guarantee your safety. If the information you carry is not good enough, you will end up dead, don't blame me," Curtis said.

" What could possibly go wrong, right? Lead the way," Seth spoke and Curtis led the way to the twelfth floor and knocked. One could notice him slightly shaking.

Matthew opened the door and an irritated look appeared on his features. If looks could kill, Curtis would have been dead.

"What now. Don't you think you irritated me enough that you are back to anger me more..." Matthew apoke hoarsely.

Curtis trembled as he struggled to stand. He knew just how their boss was when angry. He killed without second thoughts.

"This guy claims to know more about that guy and his background. He says they came from the same city," Curtis said his head low and his voice shaking.

" And who might you be?" Matthew asked looking at Seth with interested disdain. " Whatever you have should be worth it or consider yourself dead." He continued coldly.

" My names are Seth Mathis, from Lotus City. Its an honour to be in your presence," Seth said meekly and bowed. Matthew nodded for him to continue.

" You sure want to hear that story outside? Its pretty long..." Seth spoke and Curtis kicked his foot lightly to warn him. Curtis's teeth clenched as he cursed.

" Hahaha! I love this guy. Come on get in," Matthew said placing his hands on Seth's shoulder as he led them in. Curtis just shook his head.

" You are dead boy," Curtis whispered unconsciously as he closed the door behind him. He watched as Seth went forward and sat on the only chair in the room.

"Let's first talk about my reasons for chosing to come to you," Seth spoke crossing his legs his left leg on top.

" I need you to allow me join your gang and pay me thirty origin stones," he stated his terms.

Curtis felt his hair rise. This guy was surely courting death. He saw Matthew pause for a split second and he could only facepalm. The guy was dead. Walking in a castle and sitting on the throne was treason. To make matters worse, making demands.

"Yoo Curtis, you know what we do to those who attempt treason right?" Matthew asked an evil smile appearing. Curtis just nodded and locked the door behind him.

He then proceeded to the wardrobe and came with a rope. He could only pity the guy. His inside could only say 'you brought this upon yourself'.

"Stop right there," Seth said raising his hand and a small fire orb appearing on the index finger. He stood and walked towards Curtis walking past Matthew.

"Hahaha... I am going to enjoy this," Matthew spoke as he licked his lips. A black fog surrounding him.

Seth felt something land on his back. He was only a fist stage. He looked behind and saw the evil grin on Matthew's face. He then felt a fist land on his stomach and the orb in his hand dissipated.

"Noo... Wait... Sorry... I did not mean to be disrespectful... Please..." Seth tried to speak but he received another punch on his back. He dropped on his knees his eyes filled with despair.

"Tie him on the chair, I have still not calmed my anger," Matthew said as Curtis dragged Seth to the chair and tied his hands on the back and his legs on the stands.

"Help! Anyone out there! Help please!" Seth screamed but he was met by deathly stares and they broke out in a fit of laughter.

"He does not know the rooms are sound proof?" Matthew asked laughing.

"He surely thought he would just make demands infront of you? A no one like him?" Seth asked as he also laughed.

This was his chance to redeem himself and also take out his anger. He even felt glad that the guy approached him.

"I will tell you everything! Please let me go," Seth pleaded but only devilish stares fell on him and maniacal laughter. He watched as Curtis walked to the wardrobe and came with two pieces of wood. Poles of around four feet.

He trembled when he saw him hand one to Matthew who received it happily. They walked closer to pass judgement. This was the best way to pay back for what was done to them. Were they not from the same city?

Curtis dropped his pole as he readied a punch. He wanted to vent his frustration there and then.

"Please..." Seth begged his eyes wide open. He landed the first punch on the face and felt something tickle inside him when he heard the pained scream. His anger had been tapped.

He landed the second punch and he felt a slight joy. His smile widened as he rained punches on the guy. The screams ranged but were later replaced by whimpers. After around five minutes he felt his anger dissipate. The ground below was a pool of blood.

Matthew smiled when he saw his man all soaked in blood and his smile like a maniac. This was the reason he had chosen Curtis. This guy was a complete masochist.

"Yoo... Give him the best recovery pill so I can also taste his blood," Matthew said licking his lips as his blood heat up in his veins. He was excited.

Curtis obliged and gave Seth a pill. Matthew came to him and patted his shoulder. Matthew would oftenly slap the guy to wake him. After around ten minutes, the guy was pretty healed up.

"Sorry please... I will tell you everything and demand no payment. Please," Seth started begging again after the pain had died down.

"You know I just can't do that," Matthew said and stood infront of Seth.

He picked the wooden rod and prepared for his first assault. He lifted it with both hands and like a devil passing death judgement, he struck at the head and the pole broke into several pieces.

"A pretty tough head you got here," Matthew said as a painful scream filled the room. "In my history, no ome has managed to break one. Maybe it was already faulty," Matthew said as he picked the other one. " Lets do a test," Matthew said .

Curtis laughed and Seth shuddered.

"Have mercy on this lowly fool," Seth tried his last card or luck. He watched as Matthew lifted the wooden pole.

"I can't stop wonering. How many can you break? Yoo Curtis bring the rest," Matthew said and like an obedient child, Curtis brought five other wooden poles under the wide eyed Seth.
