Chapter 32. Labbel

A group of five came out from a room labelled F.10R5. They walked down the stairs and reached the entrance of the dorms labelled AM.

They stopped and one guy with red spiky hair spoke.

"I need you Khris to go and investigate his every move, don't let him out of your sight" he said and the fire elementalist called Khris left ahead of the others.

"Joel will go and find details about him from the day he arrived up to date," he spoke and Joel who was an earth elementalist left.

"Mark find out about the other guy his, background and everything," he continued and Mark who was a lightning elementalist left.

"Arnold find out about how he came to meet Aurora," he said and Joel who was a water elementalist left.

This guy speaking was Labbel. Zeddy's main man. After giving orders, he left. He also wanted to survey that guy. He did not have utmost trust in that guy Khris.

Labbel was a fire elementalist of the Second Grade and he was of the second stage. His surbordinates were of the second stage but of the Third Grade.

He knew exactly where to find this guy. He went to the stadium and stood at the opposite side. He could see their every action and also his surbordinate's.

The guy he sent sat one seat behind as he listened to their every conversation.

"...or don't you guys trust me?" Aurora asked.

He watched and listened as he saw them do some gestures but he did not see what they were doing.

"Oh..." Aurora spoke unable to continue.

Labbel was just staring when he saw the guy create an inscription. He laughed when he saw this knowing that he had uncovered one of his major secrets.

Khris watched as the guy with black hair stood up.

"I have to check-in in the mission hall and get my rewards, you guys heading that way?" The guy with black hair asked and they nodded in agreement.

"I will go take the mission you took and give the cores you gave me," the guy with reddish black hair spoke.

" You are too lazy," Aurora spoke.

" Nah, its called critical thinking. Since no one got a third stage beast core, I will give two and get my points. Pretty awesome right?" The guy with reddish black hair spoke triumphantly.

"I should give a fourth stage core to Aurora so you can burrow your pride," the guy with black hair spoke and removed a fourth stage core from his pocket and gave it to Aurora.

The guy behind raged when he heard these words. Was he trying to act cool to her? That was unacceptable. He watched as the guy removed a fourth stage core and gave it to Aurora.

Aurora picked the core and pinched his chin.

"Aaww, thats very kind of you," Aurora spoke her lips pouting. The guy just brushed her hair and placed his hand on her shoulders and put her's on his back as they walked towards the library.

Labbel who was on the other side saw their flirtatious actions and grit his teeth hard. This guy really had some real guts. He waited for a while and nodded to Khris to follow them.

He remained seated for few minutes before he left headed for the same direction. At the same time, he saw three more figures stand up.

He knew exactly who they were and he figured that it was going to be an alliance to kill the guy.

Khriss arrived at the library and proceeded to take a mission as he listened to them. These small conversations could being something resourceful...

He was also hit by an emotion he never felt. Jelousy. He watched as Alaric gave his array plate to the lady who awarded him 1600 points.

Points were a great determinant and those who had many points were always on top of the hall of fame. At the moment, the top person had 120,000 points.

He stopped wandering off and focused on his mission. He followed them later outside and on his way he met Labbel who told him to follow them for around thirty minutes and find him in the Marshal Pit.

Khriss followed them from a distance wondering where they were heading to. He found out they were going for their classes.

He watched them separate with Aurora as she headed to the alchemy classes and the two guys headed to the smithing class.

He came in and went to take a seat at the back. He saw the two sit together but he could hear them from where he was seated.

"You know this is my second smithing class this year," The guy with black hair spoke.

" You loved smithing but array loved you more," the guy with reddish black hair replied with a sneer.

" Its not that you can make a practioner weapon, at least I can make a first stage array of the practioner level," the guy with black hair spoke.

" You should not brag with those low grade arrays of yours that can be broken by someone with no cultivation," the guy with reddish black hair replied in the same manner.

Khriss almost facepalmed. Were they really friends? From their conversation, one could think that they were about to fight.

" Says the guy who goes on his knees when he is scared," the guy with black hair spoke not changing his tone at all.

"You know if you are a man like you pretend to be, we should face each other head on and see what you can do without those sneak attacks of yours!" The guy with reddish black hair spoke raising his voice slightly that everyone looked at them.

Khriss waited for them to start a fight but it never happened. It seemed it was a verbal war. He even wondered if this was how they behaved, how long had they been friends? They should have fought long ago and broken their friendship.

"I just can't understand why you ran away after you were free instead of fighting me like you are saying now," the guy with black hair said.

It seemed these two could fight this way the whole day. The topic seemed simple in the beginning but they found new ways to extend it making it more than what it appear complex than it should be.

Khriss could not help but wonder where this conversation took a turn. Was it not a normal conversation?

"Have you ever heard of something called call of nature? I just could not hold it in anymore," the guy with reddish black hair said.

" Long call or short call, I bet you can't even remember what it was," the guy with black hair spoke.

Once someone got to the Cryptic plane, these things would become less frequent as one would only absorb what was important to their bodies.

They had drifted away. Were they not about to fight each other just a while ago? He could not take it anymore and he just left to meet Labbel.

Labbbel and Khriss sat for hours as they waited for the rest. He had told Labbel everything. And it was not until sunset did the rest arrive having gathered as much information as they could.

"What did you find out?" Labbel asked after everyone settled down. The first to speak was Joel.

"His name is Alaric. He has no surname at all so I could not trace his background. He is a lightning elementalist of the First Grade and he is in the second stage.

"He comes from the Amazon dorm in room F.7R7. He studies array and he has stopped taking smithing classes. He has joined no faction.

"He was once punished together with his friend because of insulting Morgan and a library attendant. Since then, he has not been active," Joel said his findings and Labbel nodded.

Mark was up next after Joel. He had gone to investigate about the other guy.

"His name his Reynolds Fernades the fifth son of the current head of the Phoenix Sect, Jahlick Fernades. He is one we cannot afford to offend. Even the Mayor cannot reach his influence.

"He is a fire and darkness elementist and both are of the First Grade. He is in the early stages of the Cryptic Plane. His dorm is F.7R8. He takes smithing classes only.

"Rumour has it they became friends during their first encounter," Mark stated his findings and it was Anold's turn. He had been tasked with the most important task.

"From what I found out, they met Aurora few days after their admission. They went to the female dorms and there they were laughed at by the girls and called perverts. Including Aurora who made fun of them saying they had erectile disfunction.

"It was then that that guy Alaric got angered and took action on her. He approached her and he immediately got her in a trance. Like a spell, she could not move and that was when she gave her heart to him.

" He left her there embarrassed and she ran to her room. Rumour has it that the following day she approached him and confessed to him and he confessed to her. They have been lovers since then to date," Mark said.

Labbel could only hold his anger in. They would be killing that Alaric guy soon.

"Let's go boys, we have kept the boss waiting for long enough," Labbel said and stood up.

He was followed by his friends as they headed to Zeddy's room. They knocked and Zeddy opened the door for them.

"So thats how it is?" Zeddy spoke. His Aurora had been in love for four years. He was going to kill that guy so that she could have an empty heart and accept him when the time came.

"There is someone else though," Labbel spoke and all eyes turned towards him.

"I realized that the others are also investigating. I think we will be having a meeting soon to form an alliance with them. We have to have a unique finding so as to be equal terms with them," he spoke an evil smile appearing on his face.

"And what could that be?" Zeddy asked in anticipation. If that alliance really came to be then he was going to have an easier time.

"I learnt his secret," Labbel spoke mysteriously as the rest drawned in suspense, "His ultimate secret is that he has learnt to create inscriptions. That is his ultimate trump card."

" If the others agree to the alliance, killing him will be a piece of cake. After he is dead, his friend will leave Aurora alone when he realizes what happened," Zeddy spoke and smiled knowingly. He was halfway from victory at the moment
