Days passed and it was time to return to country C. Mr Jarek stood at the airport to bid them goodbye but Gerard was nowhere in sight.
"Where did your husband go? He should be here on time or has he gone back on his words about leaving today?" Mr Jarek asked jokingly.
Ayla looked around but couldn't find him anywhere. "He said he would be here soon," she spoke while looking around.
"That punk sure knows how to keep people waiting. I wonder what would happen on the day of your wedding ceremony. He would probably be late as well." the old man sighed.
At another side of the airport, Gerard stood with someone. "When do you plan on coming back?" he asked in an indifferent tone.
"Not anytime soon. I still have a business to run. Besides, you know me. I'm like a thief who shows up unannounced." Aiden smiled playfully.
