Chapter 38: What's it to me, Kill!

Liang Hui swept his gaze over the two figures before him, his expression unchanging.

An elder and a middle-aged man of the Human Race exchanged a glance before kneeling thunderously.

"We beseech the elder, please stop the slaughter of the Demon Tribe."

The teacup that Liang Hui had raised abruptly paused before he once again drank from it.

After a moment, he set down the teacup and spoke with an exhale:

"Reasons?"

"Ever since the elder began to slay members of the Demon Tribe, countless demons have surged out of the mountains and ancient forests, waging battles with the Human Race, and numerous clansmen have been captured."

The two men bowed their heads, their faces showing sorrow.

"We plead with the elder to stop the killing of the Demon Tribe and to let the bloodshed cease."

"The powerful members of the Demon Tribe have vowed that if the elder would stay his hand, all captives would be released."

The two of you spoke in turn, clearly recounting all the matters at hand.
