The parcel

Sophia felt overwhelmed seeing his care and she could feel his eyes that were full of love when he fed her. But she thought she saw it wrong as how could he love her so deeply when they have known each other for just a few days.

She was feeling many emotions with him and around him that she never felt before. When she was with Liam she interacted with him like she did with her friends. But now with Daniel, she felt different.

She is falling in love with Daniel, she can feel it but what confused her is that if this is how falling for someone felt like then what was it that she had with Liam. Was it even love? Has she always misunderstood her feelings and took gratitude for love?

She wants to be around Daniel. She loves his attention and craves his touch. She blushes at his little teasing. The anger she felt when she saw him with Tracy earlier despite the fact that he was ignoring her. She knew that it all was headed to somewhere she has never been. She was loving the emotions she was feeling.

She didn't realise that she was staring at Daniel all this while. She was lost in her thoughts and was busy understanding her emotions. Daniel felt her staring at him continuously and he sat there obediently, letting his wife look at him to her heart's content.

But when he looked up at her, he realised that she was thinking something and wasn't paying attention to him as he thought. He decided to break her thought process.

"What are you thinking about?", he asked while keeping his hands on the dining table and looking straight into her eyes.

"You.", Sophia replied subconsciously not realising what she said. Daniel's eyes widened a little hearing her and then his heart did a happy dance.

He smiled and looked at her with his deep grey orbs and continued, "So, do you think your husband is hot?"

Sophia was about to say something again but Aunt Marry's voice brought her out of her thoughts.

"Ma'am you have a parcel.", Aunt Marry said while entering the dining room. She paused in her steps realising she disturbed the couple unknowingly and stood there not knowing to go in or out.

Sophia came out of her thoughts and realised what she just said and she felt embarrassed. Her cheeks turned rosy and she averted her gaze from Daniel's and stood up.

Daniel felt annoyed being disturbed and looked at Aunt Marry with a frown. He was looking forward to her answer but now he won't get one.

"Where is it, Aunt Marry?", Sophia asked while walking outside. She wanted to divert her mind from what just happened.

"Ma'am, it's kept in the living room on the table.", Aunt Marry followed her and escaped the annoyed eyes of Daniel. He was making her nervous. Daniel looked at her as if she stole his favourite candy.

Sophia nodded her head and walked towards the table in the living area and she felt a little curious about the big parcel kept there. She wasn't expecting anything. She tried to look at the sender's name and found Emily's details written there.

Sophia was a little surprised at first and then she thought let's see what was inside and started opening it. Daniel has long followed them and was looking at Sophia now, standing at the side.

Sophia was almost done opening the packing but paused suddenly as if she just realised something. She thought a little and decided to bring the parcel to her room and open it there. She had a feeling that she shouldn't open it under everyone's watchful eyes.

She stood up with the parcel after coming to the conclusion.

"All okay?", Daniel asked and she nodded her head a little hesitantly as she herself wasn't sure.

"Who sent it?", Daniel again tried to make her speak if she has faced any issues.

"Emily. The friend I told you about in the morning.", Sophia replied and Daniel nodded his head.

"I will take it to the room. I need to get changed too as I am not returning to the office now. I don't have any meetings scheduled and will handle the work from home itself.", Sophia said to Daniel. She saw him nodding his head in understanding and walked towards the stairs. She went to the room and kept the box on the bed.

Daniel thought about her hesitant look earlier and became a little worried thinking she was facing some issues. He thought she didn't want to tell him about the issue and wanted to solve it by herself.

He remembered that she said Emily came after signing a deal and he felt that they might have faced some problems in the middle. He wanted to help her out.

He took out his phone from his pocket and gave Joe a call, "I won't come to the office. If you have anything important that you can't handle then give me a call and email the documents that need my approval urgently."

"Okay boss.", Joe said and went on with the work after Daniel hung up the phone.

Daniel followed Sophia to the room after giving Joe the instructions.

Meanwhile, Sophia opened the box as soon as she kept it on the bed and gasped looking at the content inside. She felt thankful that she didn't open it downstairs and brought it to the room instead.

She took out one of the sexy lingerie that was stocked inside among many others and felt her face heat up seeing the almost negligible fabric in her hands. All the sets seemed to be made of the fabric that was either transparent or there wasn't any fabric at all.

She stuffed the piece back inside the box and dialled Emily who picked it up in one ring as if she was anticipating her call.

"Hey, did you like the surprise? I spent millions on it babe so you better make use of it to have your way with your husband otherwise, all my time and money would be wasted.", Emily said in her proud voice.
