Chapter 3 How to get stronger quickly

After the initial excitement, Vegeta began to ponder ways to quickly enhance his strength. Aside from the mysterious system, several strategies came to mind.

First, utilizing the Saiyan trait of significant power boosts after recovering from severe injuries was an option. However, this method has its limitations and cannot be exploited continuously without time, intense battles, and training to accumulate potential. Otherwise, Saiyans would have already dominated the universe, rather than being stuck at power levels in the thousands or tens of thousands.

Vegeta had already accumulated substantial potential, making this method viable for a power boost. Yet, based on the original story, after Goku and his friends nearly killed him, his power only increased by about 6,000 points. This increase was due to years of accumulated potential and the intense battle that activated much of it. Even with a 6,000-point increase, raising his power level to around 24,060 points would still leave him struggling against some of Frieza's subordinates, let alone a full-powered Frieza with a power level of 120 million.

Thus, Vegeta set his sights on the second option: transforming into a Super Saiyan. From the original Vegeta's memories, he knew there were several methods for achieving this transformation.

The transformation required Saiyan blood, which was a given. The second requirement was intense emotion, combined with a pure heart—whether good, evil, or neutral. With his current body's changes and his new soul, Vegeta believed he could meet these conditions.

However, there was a crucial third condition: a certain power level. Goku's transformation occurred at a power level of 3 million. Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, and Trunks all had significant power levels when they transformed. This was currently Vegeta's biggest limitation.

There was a notable exception with Bardock, who transformed into a Super Saiyan with a power level potentially in the tens of thousands, but Vegeta couldn't rely on such uncertain factors.

The Super Saiyan transformation would be ineffective if his base power was too low. Despite the significant boost, a fiftyfold increase from a low starting point wouldn't be enough against Frieza.

Vegeta also considered the Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan 4 transformations. The Super Saiyan God required six pure-hearted Saiyans, which was currently impossible. Super Saiyan 4 was simpler: it required a Saiyan tail, a certain power level, and transformation into a Golden Great Ape before achieving Super Saiyan 4.

For Vegeta, a Golden Great Ape transformation while maintaining consciousness was feasible. However, transforming into a regular Great Ape now wouldn't be useful since his base power was still the limiting factor.

Reflecting on this, Vegeta realized his primary obstacle was his base power level. This limitation frustrated him, but he calmed down and focused on his current advantages.

The extraction and enhancement system was a significant boon, promising rapid development and a higher potential than his original self. Additionally, his new memories allowed him to avoid many pitfalls.

Taking a deep breath, Vegeta adjusted his mindset. With his newfound advantages, there was no reason he should perform worse than his original counterpart. He began to contemplate immediate actions to strengthen himself.

One obvious area was improving his control over his energy. Despite his current strength, compared to Earth's Z Fighters, his control over his energy was rudimentary. Mastering this would undeniably boost his overall power.

In the confined space of his single-person spaceship, Vegeta couldn't engage in physical training, but he could focus on sensing and controlling his energy. This practice would enhance his efficiency and power.

Sleeping was not an option for Vegeta. Time was precious, and he had no intention of wasting it.
