Altair suddenly woke up in a classroom, only a few moments ago he was in front of his computer working late on a project due the next day. "What's going on?" he thought to himself. He realized that he was in another world and that the human race was an inferior race on the verge of extinction since the Earth was taken from them by other races. The humans vowed to take revenge one day. Altair finally found the opportunity to fulfill his dream of becoming the most powerful warrior, especially when one night... [Beep...Welcome to the pocket dimension]
[Ding...You have entered the pocket dimension]
Altair's vision went black and when it appeared again, he was not in a random place but floating in the air and in front of him two frames levitated.
Under one of them the words "little beginner's map" could be read, while on the second only question marks.
"There's nothing left to do on the first map and I don't feel like exploring it for hours so let's get into the second one. I need to gain power quickly to get my revenge on that f*cking monkey".
He reached out his finger to touch the image, and when the contact was made a dazzling white light blinded him and teleported him out of that space.
When he regained his sight for the second time, he screamed with fear. He was not in a plain or a forest or a swamp but literally falling from the clouds. A bit like in his old life he was skydiving but without a parachute.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" he shouted.
When he had no more air to scream, he desperately looked for a solution. He had just broken through the cloud layer and could see the second map in its entirety.
A huge jungle in the east, the monkeys must be there, a huge lake in the middle and in the north stood a massive and majestic silhouette. It was a volcano, whose imposing form rose proudly. From the sky, it looked asleep, peaceful and mysterious.
Clouds of smoke billowed from its summit and stretched for miles, blending with the surrounding clouds. Cracks and crevices opened on its sides, letting rivers of molten lava flow down to the lake.
The sky was filled with a glowing, sparkling light, the sound of the volcano's dull roar could be heard through the tumultuous air. The trees and vegetation on the slopes of the volcano seemed tiny in comparison to the gigantic mountain of fire.
The volcano seemed to have a life of its own, as if it were breathing and moving with its own energy. It was both fascinating and frightening, because you never knew what would happen next. The volcano was an indomitable force of nature, a dangerous and captivating beauty. One could not help but contemplate it, while being aware of its destructive potential.
Altair could see the orange lava inside despite the smoke and he clearly didn't feel like taking a bath.
Small black dots coming from the direction of the volcano were looming on the horizon.
"What is this?" he asked himself innocently.
The little black dots began to grow larger and larger and Altair could make out the outline.
"BUT ??? ARE THOSE MAGMA BALLS ???"
He quickly summoned his power of the wind and managed to wedge himself into an updraft, allowing him to avoid the deadly projectiles.
While he was still falling, Altair could see some sort of lava golem inside the volcano that was swallowing the molten magma and spitting it at him.
"Son of a dog! I didn't do anything to you" he insulted them.
When he saw another series of projectiles coming at him, he accelerated his fall and went in the opposite direction.
In order to avoid crashing and since he didn't control the wind well enough to allow a forced landing at that speed, he invoked the black flame on his feet and hands and the flame acted as mini jet engines, allowing him to stabilize his fall.
"Watching movies in my old life was the most useful thing I could have done!"
He then landed softly on the grassy ground beside the lake, on the opposite side of where the volcano was.
He quickly went to hide in the bushes and looked at the smooth, calm water of the lake. Not far from Altair, a huge elk that must have been six times his size was quietly taking a few sips of water.
He continued for a few seconds before suddenly a huge monster came out of the water and grabbed the moose in its huge mouth and pulled it into the depths. The moose didn't even have a chance to struggle and its huge body disappeared before the surface of the water became calm again.
"Since when do dinosaurs exist?" he exclaimed as his face turned pale and his legs shook under the pressure.
Altair stayed in his bush for a few more hours, the time to calm his body and mind that had become chaotic after the appearance of the beast's immense power.
"How will I be able to progress with all these bosses? One mistake and I'm sure to die."
Altair summoned his wind power and concealed his scent, he ran out of his bush before running like crazy through the jungle and up a tree.
The jungle was dense and dark, a mixture of lush greenery and thick darkness. Twisted vines hung from the huge trees, forming serpentine ropes that seemed ready to wrap themselves around anything that came within sight.
From the top of his tree, Altair gazed into the jungle.
The leaves of the trees were so deep in green that they seemed almost luminous, glowing in the filtered rays of the sun that pierced through the dense canopy. But despite this ethereal glow, there was something oppressive about this jungle like a sense of mystery and uncertainty that permeated every dark corner and hidden nook. The cries of howler monkeys and exotic birds filled the air, but there were also more sinister noises that seemed to come from nowhere.
Dull growls and creepy whispers that made the hairs on the back of your neck tingle. Every now and then a shadow would be spotted, stealthily gliding through the trees. There was a chill in the air, a silent warning that whatever entered this jungle might never leave.
Altair gathered his courage and continued his stealthy progress. It was time to collect power orbs.
