Chapter 73

Finishing picking up the food Sasuke stood up from the floor. With a smile he said to her with warmth, "I get it. Just rest for now, I'll bring you some water later."

A few seconds later Sasuke came up bringing her a clue fresh cup of water. Violet took it with both of her hands in gratitude.

The room stays in a quiet peacefulness as violet takes a small sip of the water. She takes peeks of Sasuke amiss drinking the cup of water. As though waiting to speak something that's stuck in her throat.

"You don't need to say a thing you don't want," Sasuke said to her reassuringly. "I already know who you are, Princess Viola."

Violet turns her eyes to look with surprise at Sasuke. She didn't expect this strange man to know the past about her.

"Alright I'll leave you alone," Sasuke proceed to walk out of the room swiftly. Leaving Violet ever more curious about who he is. Whether she is fatigued or not, for some reason she can't sense what's going on in his mind.

For the next couple days Sasuke is able to draw Violet closer in their relationship. In the beginning she was still so quiet. He knows there's a sadness behind her silence.

Day by day he would slowly spend more time with her. Telling her stories about the different places he visited this year. Telling her jokes just to make her laugh. All to see her smile once again. Nothing is as precious as her smile.

The days went away quickly in this manner. Soon weeks has gone by. He stayed by her side the whole time making her day warmer with each smile on her face.

Soon the day came when all her injuries is healed. Sasuke sees Violet standing by the seashore. Watching the waves softly hit the sandy beach.

The sky has a dark blue color to them, glistening the autumn tree in a new color. Bringing a new beauty that refreshes the eyes.

"What are you thinking about?" Sasuke asked. Walking by her side, taking her soft hand.

"Nothing. Just some memories," she said her eyes seemed a little sad to him. Speaking a thousand words coming from her heart that never came to his ears.

"It scares me sometimes Viola. To hear your screams carrying so much pain at night," Sasuke said to her. Holding both of her hands.

"Sorry. I made you worry for me again," she said. Afraid to look into his eyes. Burying herself again. "I'll make it up to you." She slowly reaches her hand to unbutton Sasuke's shirt.

But reaching his hand to hold her wrist, he stops her from continuing. Her eyes look up at him strangely, "What good is sex without love. I don't just want your body. I also want your heart."

She pauses, seeing the possessive desire through his eyes. Feeling her legs loosing itself from the electric desire in her heart.

"I want you to feel free. Letting nothing bind those beautiful wings of yours," Sasuke said to her smiling warmly. Kissing the back of her soft hand gently.

Back to the present. Viola sees that back which she has become so familiar with. Yet that figure seems to be slowly drawing away.

With tears in her eyes she screams loudly proclaiming to him, "You've set me free! Now come back to me!! I won't wait any longer!!!"

Hearing her loud voice from behind her Sasuke turned to see her face. Tears were dropping down from her eyes.

Though they are happy tears as he sees Viola jumping through the air. Landing into his open arms. He once again smells her familiar fragrance.

"Now you're the one trying to act all tough," Viola said with a smile. "I'm sorry I treated you so distantly before. From now on my heart shall be yours. Never leave me alone in the darkness again."

"Never again. I shall be your light," Sasuke said pushing her head closer to his chest. "Now let's get out of here," he said to her smiling.

Viola happily followed Sasuke along. Then she stopped herself, "Wait! Sasuke-kun I want to show you something."

"Huh?"

Follow Viola's lead he find himself in a treasure room. Filled with countless riches, the light from the overflowing gold is so overwhelmingly bright.

Slowly walking together Viola leads him to the end of the treasure room. He sees a tiny wooden box. Which Viola opens up for him.

"This!!" Sasuke couldn't believe his eyes. "It is the Horu Horu no Mi!!"

"I thought you would like it," Viola said smiling. She had read stories before about how Sasuke is able to absorb devil fruit powers.

The next morning when Shirahoshi woke up from her bed she sees a strange woman coming into the room. She has a warm smile on her face.
