Chapter 56

The flowery smell of her body's fragrance spread in that close proximity. Haku adorably rubs her soft cheeks on his face.

Looking at him with such warmth in her beautiful eyes. "Sasuke-kun, I will feel sad when you leave. But I want you to be happy. You're the most important person in my life. I'll always be waiting here for you to come back."

"Haku," Sasuke felt his heart touched with warmth. He didn't expect her to say such sweet words that melt his heart like this. "Thank you so much. I was worried about how you would react."

"You're the real idiot," Sakura joked. Embracing Sasuke from behind. A smile blossoms from the bottom of her heart, "If I only cared about myself how would that be called love. Make sure to come back to our side soon. I'll miss you Sasuke-kun."

That night Sasuke had a sleepless night. He watches their calm peaceful faces laying asleep. He doesn't really know just how long it will be before he returns.

When the sun quietly started up in the sky Sasuke quietly got out of bed. Making sure not to wake the two of the up from the peaceful sleep.

Taking a last look at them before heading out the door. On his way to the entrance he noticed a letter placed on the table.

"Make sure to eat healthily on your journey. And come back in one piece. Here's a backpack filled with all of your favorite foods."

Sasuke smiled picking up the large backpack. Looking inside he sees that it is stored many different consumables.

Taking a last look at the home Sasuke opened the door. Walking out into the open sunlight to continue forth on a journey.

A week has passed since Sasuke left the village. Sasuke sits on top of a boulder in a forest munching on an onigiri in his hand.

Ruffle Ruffle

Though barely audible Sasuke could here sounds coming from a long distance a way. His body disappeared from atop of the boulder.

The closer he got to the source of the sound the more he was able to distinguish it. It is the sound of screaming from a male voice.

In front was a man running for his life while two ninja chased after him. The man seemed like a prisoner who had undergone torture.

He was only wearing a white teared apart long shirt that covered over his body. Both of his arms contained red scars that crisscross on his skin.

Just as one of the ninja was able to catch the prisoner Sasuke kicked the ninja away. Thus saving the man from the horrendous outcome.

Before the other ninja could even react to the surprise encounter, Sasuke does a spin that knocks him flying.

The force of his attacks were strong enough to render both the ninjas immobile.

"Thank you so much for saving my life," the man said with palpitating breath. His eyes were fatigued from lost of energy.

Observing the situation Sasuke turned to ask him, "Why are you running away from these men."

Calming down from being chased the man explained, "Hero you must help me!! These men imprisoned countless people."

"Huh? What is the purpose of such an act?"

"They imprisoned everyone for some terrifying experiment," the man's face turned with fear as he recounted the experience. He begin to tell the story of how he was captured and tortured in various sorts of experiments.

Eventually the man lead him to a compound facility. There were guards that are walking around the area keeping a close watch.

"You just got to go through that door," the man pointed to a door where two guards stand. They were hiding in the trees.

Waiting for the right moment Sasuke followed closely on the guards. Knocking them out in an effective manner.

When he entered through the door he smells a disgusting stench entering his nose. Walking down the dark stairs he quickly sees numerous prison cells.

It was dark inside with the prison alley extending so far his eyes could see. The prisoners were naked, huddling together to keep warm.

Their bodies were either filled with scars or missing limbs or parts. 'Why would someone do such a thing?' Sasuke felt a sense of disgust from observing this scene.

By experiencing the world out in the wild, Sasuke had really grown in his perspective. Since he has to partake in knowing both light and darkness of the world.

From his side many shadow clones appeared. Sasuke begin to gather energy into his hand, "Massive Rasengan!!"

Jump high up into the air he launched the power of that ball of energy into the ceiling. Creating a large opening that made sunlight shine from above.

The light from the sun shocked all the prisoners into a daze. Revealing to them the warmth which has been stolen from them for so long.

Soon Sasuke had all the prison doors unlocked. The prison alley became swarmed with prisoners fleeing.

Sasuke watches the result which he brought about. While watching them all leaving thanking him from their hearts, there was a pull on his sleeve.

Looking down he sees a little girl smiling at him. She was wearing rags with her black hair uncombed in a mess.

"Hello. What is it," Sasuke asked squatting down to the height of the child.

"Older brother can you save big sis?" The little girl asked with concern. "She's a really nice to me. You must help her."

"Where this big sis of yours?" Sasuke asked smiling warmly at the girl.

"It's over there," she pointed down the hall.

"Okay. I promise," Sasuke extended his pinky to her. They made a pinky promise as the little girl smiled. Waving goodbye to him as she ran to follow her mother.

Running to the end of the hallway Sasuke find another stair that leads further below. Walking with quickened speed he finds the star spirals downward quite far down underground.
