Chapter 55

"You're too slow my foolish older brother," Sasuke said. His hand appears the Rasenchidori, flashing with sparkles of lightning. This time the ball of swirling energy has Cursed Marks around them after consuming the power of the First Tail.

Throwing the ball of Cursed Mark Rasenchidori towards Itachi. Causing the walls surrounding him to turn to dust. Shaking with hard trembling like an earthquake.

When the dust around the building dissipated what Sasuke begin to see was the resemblance of a red skeleton.

"Susanoo!"

'What is that? Looks like the ribcage of a skeleton,' Naruto thought to himself.

On the other hand Sasuke feels the approaching attack of Kisame behind him. Moving his body to the side dodging away from the attack.

Then kicking Kisame away with a single kick. Refocusing his attention back on Itachi he sees blood leaking from Itachi's eyes. A ball of black flames shoot out from his eye.

Manipulating the sand in the surrounding Sasuke created a wall in front of him that blocked away the Amarterasu.

"Let's deal with this outside," said Sasuke. With a tap from his fist rendering a hole in the wall.

When they both stepped out of the inn Itachi looked with perplexity at Sasuke. In his heart wondering how was Sasuke able to get so strong all of a sudden.

"You are still not strong enough. You still don't have enough hate," Itachi said to him emotionlessly.

"My foolish brother, I already know the truth ," said Sasuke. Revealing behind his sunglasses the Mangekyo Sharingan.

'This!'

"I don't blame you for what you done," said Sasuke walking close forward. "Because now I understand." Standing just a few steps apart from Itachi. "But hatred doesn't end hatred. Only love does that."

Itachi's eyes turned with hesitation. Not knowing what to do in this situation. He sees as Sasuke walks up in front of him.

He didn't stop Sasuke as he sees him taking hold of his hand. He really doesn't sense any animosity in Sasuke's eyes.

'Have what I done in the past a foolish decision," he thought looking into Sasuke's kind eyes. Which are so accepting of him that he felt himself relaxed of his burdens and pain.

"I want you to have this," Sasuke said putting a pouch into his hand. "This will help heal the trauma from overusing the eyes." The pouch contain liquids that are actually really beneficial for mangekyo sharingan users. Though Sasuke chose to give it to Itachi.

"Sasuke-" Itachi was about to say something. Though was interrupted halfway by Sasuke.

"You don't have to say anything. I hope to see you again in a different manner my foolish brother," turning his back Sasuke disappeared from the street. Leaving Itachi standing there still with his eyes remaining in a daze.

Looking at the brown pouch that Sasuke placed into his care. Revealing a smile on his face that he hadn't displayed in a long time. A smile of happiness.

Then taking a long look up at the sky. Wondering about something. Wondering about all the decisions he had made up to this point.

That night Sasuke returned back to his home, when he arrived inside he sees a warming smile from Sakura and Haku.

"Sasuke-kun! You at the right time," Haku greeted when she sees Sasuke walking into the kitchen. She was washing some dishes in the sink.

"Look at what I cooked for us Sasuke-kun," Sakura smiled brightly. Pulling on Sasuke's hand leading him to the dinner table.

It has plates of food that covers every square inch of the table. In the middle sits a large bowl of tofu and seaweed soup. With plates of fried chicken drumsticks and wings sitting in another plate.

"I don't think I can eat all of this tonight," Sasuke joked. Smelling the wonderful flavors that are flowing through the air.

Sakura pulled a chair in front of Sasuke. Pushing him down in a sitting position on that chair in a playful manner.

"I don't care you will have to eat it all," Sakura said. Taking a seat opposite of Sasuke. "I put a lot of effort into making the food." Pouting in faint annoyance.

"Here Sasuke-kun. Taste some of the fish," Haku said placing a piece of fish meat in his bowl.

"Thank you," Sasuke said to her. Picking up his chopsticks to start dining.

When they finished up the large set of meal Sasuke helped put away the dishes in the sink. As Haku washes them.

"I have something I want to tell you guys," Sasuke said in a solemn voice. "I'm going to be leaving the village."

Sakura's face became frozen when she heard what Sasuke said. Haku also stopped her dishwashing when she heard this news.

Doing her hands on the apron Haku looked seriously at Sasuke. "You're going to be leaving? I want to come with you Sasuke-kun!" She looks at him with her big brown eyes.

"You're leaving?" Sakura's voice sounded really down. Her back slouches as her eyes looks down sadly to the floor.

"You silly!" Placing his hands affectionately on Sakura and Haku's heads. "It's not like I'm going to leave you guys forever."

"You're not?" Sakura asked questionably. Still hiding a bit of doubt in her heart. Rethinking back to the horrible nightmares before.

"No of course not. I'm just going to be traveling outside for only a couple months," Sasuke said to her reassuringly. A smile on his face that washes away the fog that clouds at her heart.

"I also want to bring you guys with me. Though these days something been troubling me," Sasuke said to the two of them with a sincere tone of voice. "I want to figure things out."

Since they were together, Sakura has never really left his side. She always wishes to see him again each day. Only in that way does she feel cheerful.

Without missing a beat Haku jumped into Sasuke. Hugging him around the shoulders. Sasuke could feel the warmth of her small body with the hug.
