Nothingness is the bane of Existence, and vice versa. Still, with enough amount of it, power reigns supreme over them all. Such is the universe, no one truly knows the truest peak. The Expanse; home of countless universes, realms, dimensions, and more. Such vast realm, governed by a God, once faced peril, rose again, and returned to its infancy. Will the God of Expanse be able to solve the problems that his dominion would face? Will the God be able to lead the entire dominion to the Fate that it is destined to walk on? Will He be able to learn the truth behind the fated Fate? (Due to it having little interactions and mentions to the characters of I.. Am God?, readers can start reading this despite not having read the first novel.)

Time then came to pass. Two months went by. The city of Shinar had a joyous atmosphere. They were informed that Lord Asshur would come down and proclaim to the people. They were excited to see their mysterious leader that was said to be "The Servant of God" like the great Noah. Everyone was anticipating his descent, so people from all over came to the city.

Cainan, who had just come from the land of Mizraim, came rushing with his horse. He had been waiting so long for Asshur's destined descent that he thought it would happen after a year, so he first went to Mizraim. He was preparing the ship where his family would rush once he kills Asshur. He knows that he wouldn't be able to survive against those "Anunnaki" after he completes his duty, so he had prepared an escape plan for Eber and his family.

He didn't even let his horse rest as he forced it until it cannot take anymore. When the horse died, he was left just a couple of miles away past Tiren. Without any choice, he ran. Several minutes of running, he then saw a horse half a mile away, near the river. Thinking it was Godsent, he turned to that direction.

When he got there, he plunged to the water, drinking his full before turning to the horse. He smiled before walking towards it. However…

Neigh!

The horse that was standing still, as if waiting for him to come suddenly cried before falling down, dead. Cainan shook. He rushed to the horse and saw that there was an arrow plunged directly through its head. He then heard a cheer coming from a few meters ahead. "Finally, food!"

"What the hell have you done?!" Cainan roared. The man that cheered, confused, looked at him and scoffed, 'What the hell's your problem? I haven't eaten for forty days! This was the first I saw! Do you want a piece?"

"Damn you!" Cainan, losing his composure, ran towards the man, aiming to punch him. Of course, the man, seemingly a veteran, stepped aside and punched him right in the gut, causing him to fall down and faint. "What a barbarian. If I could just do so, I would curse that woman, sending me here for nothing, making me face this ruffian." The man then spat at his unconscious body before walking away.

When, Cainan woke up, he held his stomach in pain before realizing what had just happened. "Shit!" He stood up despite the pain that ran up his body, and ran towards Shinar.

When he got there, still panting, he then heard something that made his blood run cold. "…The heavens had long since abandoned humanity, it is up to us to rule this world with our might!"

He knew who that voice belonged to; Asshur. He had failed his mission.

Plopping down, his body gave in to the stress, tiredness, and despair.

When he woke up, he saw that he was in an unfamiliar room. The cold moonlight shone from the window; it seems that he was in a room on a higher floor. Rising up, he saw that there was a man in front of the window, his back facing him. "You're awake." the man greeted him indifferently.

Cainan jolted in terror. It was none other than Asshur, the man he was supposed to kill. The man that was supposed to never even utter a single word. He was still here, all high and mighty, still strong, still breathing.

"Lord Asshur." Cainan greeted nervously. "Ease yourself, Cainan. I'm not going to eat you." Asshur joked blankly.

"You jest." Cainan awkwardly laughed before standing up, "I shouldn't impose on you any longer. I should leave." He then turned around and went for the door.

"To where?" Asshur suddenly asked, turning his body to look at him, "Why are you building a ship? Where do you plan on going?"

Cainan's body tensed. He raked his mind for some excuse before turning to look at him, "I am an Astrologer, Uncle. I plan on going to different places to look for new stars."

"Hmm…" Asshur nodded in understanding, "Then, you can leave. Bring your family with you."

"What?" Cainan didn't expect him to agree. He then thought that it would indeed be better if they just leave this wretched and soon to be damned place. Suddenly, he thought of something. "We would, after I finish some stuff that I need to accomplish."

"Mhmm." Asshur responded plainly. "Might I ask, how tall would you build the tower?" Trying to maximize the information he can get; Cainan began to ask.

"As far as it would take me." Asshur replied indifferently. Cainan looked outside, but suddenly saw that there was the tower cannot be viewed from there. "Where are we?" He asked.

"In the tower."

"We're in the tower? There are rooms to stay in the tower?" Cainan exclaimed. He did not expect for there to be rooms here.

Asshur did not react. Instead, he said to him, "You can go now." He shunned him away. Knowing that he could not disobey him, Cainan hurriedly left the room. Before leaving the tower though, he first explored its floors.

As said, the tower holds vast knowledge contained within. Collected from various races, nothing can compare to it in this world, the universe, even. To just leave without exploring it is the biggest waste a scholar such as he could do.

He focused more in the knowledge that contains the aspects of the stars, studies from various astrologers like him, and more related books. Despite his fear of being caught every second he spends inside, a scholar's thirst for knowledge is something only God can stop.

Time passed, and he had already spent months within the tower. He had even dwelled in books that were not just related to astrology. From history, arts, literature, and even governance.

Armed with such knowledge, he left the tower and began to act. Walking through the streets of the city, he immediately noticed the vast changes that had transpired after Asshur's speech. Worship began to lessen, and instead, people begin to focus on material works that would improve and beautify their lives. He even saw a brothel just a couple of meters away from the city's place of worship. Such blasphemous acts would have never been tolerated before.
