Chapter 30: Grimhilde is Crazy

AN: Hello, my lovely readers, I'm here, sorry for disappearing without warning, I had some tests these weeks and I needed to focus my whole being on that, my teachers are charging me more than the IRS when they see that I didn't pay one of my taxes.

But now I'm finally free from this pain.....for now, but this time I'll let you know if I have more tests, by the way, a little question for you.

Who put letters in math? You know....just to know who I'll have a "peaceful conversation" with if Heaven and Hell really exist (I force my way but I'll get to the bastard)

Joseph Pov

I was walking through the corridors of the Evil Queen's Royal Palace, being followed by my Personal Guards, having a Palace Servant to guide me to my guest quarters, the negotiations for the Kingdom of Heart to recognize Teutonia were quite smooth in my opinion, I had to sign some agreements, but in the end, everything was considered a success, Teutonia was already recognized by 2 Nations, now we just needed to negotiate with the Kingdom of Arstiin.

When I arrived at my guest quarters, I entered and carefully took off my uniform, not wanting help from the servants for this, I then sat on my bed and sighed tiredly, being in the presence of that Fairy Tale Villain always made me feel something I couldn't say, but I knew it involved danger, which is why I wanted to stay as far away from her as possible.

I then decided to get some sleep to rest, knowing that I would have more diplomatic matters to deal with later with the Queen again tomorrow.

The night passed, and a new day came; Joseph woke up from his sleep, opening his eyes and getting used to the sight before getting up from bed, stretching before putting on his uniform, and preparing himself to talk to Queen Grimhilde again.

When he left his guest room, he saw his Guard there, who had already been changed for others, he then went to where Queen Grimhilde was waiting for him, which was in the Banquet room, with him, of course, being guided by a Servant to make sure he didn't get lost.

When he arrived at the Hall where he would have his breakfast, he saw Queen Grimhilde sitting there in her chair; sitting next to her was Princess Snow White; Joseph then bowed to the Evil Queen and Snow White.

"Good morning, Your Royal Majesty, Queen Grimhilde, thank you once again for your hospitality." He said to Queen Grimhilde while bowing, before raising his head and looking at her, who was looking at him with a smile on her face.

"It's a pleasure, Your Excellency, Grand Duke von Farquaad; please sit down; you're probably very hungry." Grimhilde said calmly to Joseph, still with a smile present.

Joseph nodded; he then looked at Snow White and bowed to her as well; since she was the crown princess of the Kingdom of Heart, he needed to show respect to the little one as well.

"Your Royal Highness, I hope you have a good day." Joseph said respectfully to Snow White before he sat down in his chair to enjoy his breakfast.

"Umm....T-thank you, Your Excellency von Farquaad." Snow White said, with a small smile on her face.

"..." Grimhilde looked at the small interaction between the two without saying anything, just drinking her glass of wine.

Joseph felt a small chill down his spine, not knowing where it came from. He then looked subtly at Grimhilde, but she was just drinking her wine; he then left it aside and focused on his medieval breakfast.

Breakfast then had a pleasant silence while everyone ate, at least for Snow White and Joseph, with them not noticing the dark aura that came from Queen Grimhilde.

When everyone finishes eating, Grimhilde then looks at her stepdaughter and puts a fake smile on her face while looking at Snow White.

"Snow White, my dear, don't forget that later you have your etiquette lessons, you need to get ready later." Grimhilde said calmly and still with the fake smile, Snow White widened her eyes as she remembered the lessons she would have; she then stood up.

"Y-yes, Stepmother, thank you for reminding me." She then looks at Joseph, grabbing the ends of her skirt and bowing to Joseph before leaving, leaving our protagonist alone with the Evil Queen.

"Tell me, Grand Duke von Farquaad, what do you think of my dear stepdaughter?" Queen Grimhilde asked abruptly while still drinking her wine, trying to seem like it was just a harmless question.

But Joseph, who even though he was taken by surprise by the question, already began to work at a thousand light years per second in his mind, to give an answer that would not end in something tragic happening, not to him, since he had the 2 Personal Guards with him to shoot the Queen if necessary, but rather to not have something tragic happen to Snow White, he would not feel good if something bad happened to the little Princess.

"Your Royal Majesty, the princess is a good little girl, I do not doubt that she will become a good Queen in the future... and if I may be honest with you, Madame, I am somewhat envious of you." Said Joseph calmly to Grimhilde.

"Hm?" Grimhilde looks at Joseph with a raised eyebrow, curious as to what he meant by that.

"You seem to have a good relationship with your stepdaughter and care about her, a very happy family, I would like to have a family like that one day in the future, I've always liked children, so I hope to get married one day and have a beautiful family," Joseph said as he thought carefully about what he was saying, trying to use some psychology against Grimhilde so that she wouldn't try something against Snow White.

Besides, what he said was a lie, he didn't like taking care of children, they were noisy and messy, he remembered his old life when he worked for a few weeks as a nanny for some children of some of his mother's friends... it was hell, with Joseph concluding that, no matter if the child carries your blood and flesh, all children have the souls of Demons coming from the worst confines of hell.

Grimhilde was silent for a while, while registering what Joseph had said, with our protagonist praying that this would not make Snow White's situation worse, little did he know that Grimhilde was thinking in her evil mind as the Evil Queen.

'So... he wants to have children in the future... hehehe' Grimhilde thought while in her mind she kept imagining certain scenarios, until she snapped back to reality.

"I see... thank you for the compliment, Grand Duke von Farquaad, you also don't need to worry about such a thing involving marriage, a handsome nobleman who grew in power like you, I do not doubt that there will be several beautiful ladies wanting to marry you in the future" Grimhilde said with a polite smile, but inside she was thinking something else.

'And I won't let anyone take your hand... you belong only to me' Grimhilde thought as she wondered if she would have to use some spell or put poison in the food of any maiden who tries to marry Joseph.

"Hmm, I appreciate your kind words, Queen Grimhilde," Joseph said as he took his wine glass and drank some.

The room fell silent again, with Queen Grimhilde having unhealthy thoughts in her mind involving her and Joseph, while Joseph tried to find an excuse to leave.

But it was then that Queen Grimhilde would say something.

"Grand Duke von Farquaad, I would like to continue speaking with you about certain agreements between the Kingdom of Heart and the Grand Duchy of Teutonia, if possible," Grimhilde said as she stood up from her chair, with Joseph nodding as he stood up as well.
