The shock has killed me.
CEO Jasmine Cho had only been mentioned twice in the novel.
Once was when she sponsored the art competition that the female lead Hana participated and won in. Hana only winning because of Jasmines sponsorship and then later on in the future that money would help build the Ashikaga Industry into a flourishing industry and not just one known by few.
The second time was when Jasmine saw the male lead from her car and asked to stop the car so she could talk to him. When she reached him she asked for his name. She then said "Mr Kenji, would you be willing to join my boys?" That was when 'we' the readers found out that Jasmine had a harem of men at her disposal…the male lead, Kenji obviously refused since he was deeply in love with Hana..so to this Jasmine tried to negotiate by saying "I hope you don't regret your decision, I treat my boys very well you know? I give them money, and luxury and homes and anything they desire as long as they stay with me.." He still refuses and walks away. That was all we saw of Jasmine Cho in the novel..
When I read this part I laughed at how hilarious the situation was, it was my favourite part in the whole novel if we didn't include the R18 scenes… I had laughed because the way Jasmine had said "my boys" had made her seem like an old lady!
It isn't funny anymore though because I'm suddenly THAT Jasmine Cho?!
How did I even become a character in a fictional novel! It doesn't make any sense whatsoever, 'm sure I didn't transmigrate because I wasn't dead when I went to sleep right? It was just a quick nap, not eternal slumber!
I sighed heavily as I leaned into my chair, I should be happy about this situation though. My past as Tara Smith wasn't very happy, in-fact I was miserable to be getting up for work everyday and to proceed with said day…but now I'm a really rich CEO with an enormous amount of money! Heck I probably even own a mansion! If I wanted I could live this life and just forget about my past right? I just have to work like a CEO and maintain my life like Jasmine so I don't be seen as an imposter. There is one problem though..what am I going to do about the..harem?
I don't even know how many boys there are… and how I would act with them. Wait…maybe Jasmine had a diary? I mean if I did do the cliche transmigration there should be a diary or some piece of information for me right? Ok so when I get 'home' I should search for that.
For now, I should just complete my work. Surprisingly it isn't very hard, I seem to know what I'm doing. It's just like those instances where I talked automatically or walked even when I didn't want to..does that mean the actual Jasmine is still here? Did I accidentally steal her body? I put my hands together and apologised in my head…getting no response I just assumed she just didn't want to or need to talk just yet.
After a long day of work and three cups of expensive coffee, I was finally done. Secretary Kiro came into my office and asked if I wanted to leave now and I said "yes." We got into the car which I was nowhere near getting used to and we drove away.
I was looking out the window when I heard Kiro talk. "CEO Cho, there is an incoming call from your mother…should I tell her you're busy?"
From the last part of that question it seemed that Jasmine didn't like talking to her mother. So I did her, and myself a favour by replying yes. Kiro nodded before doing so.
After that I could feel him gazing at me from time to time which felt, very unnerving, being fed up I said, "Whatever you have to say just spit it out and stop staring at me" As I was gushing at myself for how cool I sounded I heard Kiro hesitantly say
"CEO if I may, shouldn't you at least call your mother once? You do know it's her birthday next week and she really wants you to attend the party she's hosting.."
How do I respond to that? I thought for a moment before saying a very cliche phrase "She knows I'm busy and don't have time for parties"
Kiro then said (more like shouted) "CEO, don't you remember she threatened to fire me if you didn't! Please if you care about poor Secretary Kiro, do attend the party" he whined.
I rubbed my eyes due to stress, before saying "Clear my schedule for the day of the party but let's be clear I'm only attending for an hour max." Before he could respond we had arrived.
As I got out of the car I could practically feel my inner self drooling. This was MY mansion? It was soo huge! I don't know why I couldn't take the shock because I think I fainted after gazing at it for about only ten seconds.
Someone caught me just in time as I lost all my consciousness…
I would feel very stupid once I awoke.
