28. I hate it when a plan doesn’t work.

Jarvis: I've compiled a Mandarin database for you, sir, drawn from S.H.I.E.L.D., FBI and. CIA intercepts."

"Lets see if you've changed anything this time old friend?"

Jarvis: "Initiating virtual crime scene reconstruction."

I stood up and walked to the center of the scene and looked around. There's my iron suit, and there's Happy. I put my hand up and slipped forward to the point of explosion, then back. 

"Looks like it's exactly as I expected." the information on the Mandarin I had popped in front of me. "It all looks like a show to me. What do you think J?" - "I do believe so as well. I don't know if you know this but the blast produced heat well past 3,000 degrees celsius. Any subjects within 12.5 yards were vaporized instantly."

I looked down and seen the dog tag which reminded me I have someone to save. I reached my hand out towards the dog tags and the image came to me. After a second of looking. "Jarvis, look up any recent explosions involving a soldier, factor in 3,000 celsius." - "The Oracle cloud has completed analysis. Accessing satellites and plotting the last 12 months of thermogenic occurrences now."

many came up on the map of the US. "Take away all confirmed Mandarin attacks." 5 files popped up. three of them I know aren't any factors but 2 caught my eyes. Chad Davis in Tennessee, and Carol Tarry, in Florida. but everyone died in this attack. smart, no witnesses.

Jarvis: "These predate any known Mandarin attack. Both are stated to be from suicide by bomb." - "Everyone in Florida is dead, so it looks like we need to go to Tennessee." - "Creating a flight plan for Tennessee." 

Ding-dong!

"Looks like my last one night stand is here. let her in J. let's see what she has to say." - " I don't think this is a good idea. You did threaten a Terrist." - "Oh, I know who she is and who she works for. get the house ready for counter attack protocol" - "If you." - " Don't want to hear it J."

I grabbed a reactor by the stairs as I went up to answer the door."

when I came around the corner to look at the door I got a huge suprise. Maya. she's not alone. once Jarvis scanned then I spoke. "Please state your purpose for coming here before I come to a conclusion." - "So you remember me, good. That will make this easier." I slowly walked backwards towards my living room. "Of course I do. you were." I looked at the young girl. "My last out of relationship, fun fest."

Jessi: "You did it with her?" I spun around to see Jessi with a bag in her hand. "You're not supposed to know about anything about that young lady." a bag about hit me on the head as it came from the second floor. "Hey, watch it!" 

Pepper: "Is someone here?" - "Yeah, Its Maya Hansen. my old botanist pal." I walked off to the side and Maya followed. "Care to explain the girl?" - "Her names Mia and she needs your help?" 

I looked at the dark brown haired girl. "Why should I help?" - "Because she's yours and she can die if you don't help."

I jumped at this news. when she walked in with her I had a feeling, but I hoped it was wrong. how, well I know how she was made, but how she was made in this timeline and wasn't in the original is confusing. "What's wrong with her?" - "She tested Extremis on herself." - "WHAT!"

How stupid can you be to do such a thing. unless they have developed it further then the Iron Man Three movie, which from the explosion I'll take as she hasn't it's suidcide. 

Pepper: "I'm sorry. with Happy in the hospital, I didn't know were expecting guests." - "Not completely." - "And old girlfriends." - "We weren't." 

Maya: "That wan't us."

"Nope."

Maya: "It was just one."

Pepper: "That's how." Pepper looked past Maya and seen Mia. "You did it. You did it, didn't you."

"I honestly didn't know until now."

Maya: "I just told him. I'm sorry."

Jessi: "Wait. I have a sister? That's different." 

"Right. took me by surprise too."

Pepper: "So did you come here for money? And why now and not before?" - "I need Tony's help to save her. I know he can save her. he helped so much back In Switzerland."

"Of course I can get it. I finalized the serum ages ago. why do you think I don't look a day older then the last time you seen me?"

Maya: "You finished it?" - "Didn't I just say that."

Jarvis: "SIR!"

I look up to see a missile coming at us. "Counter attack!"

a Ironman suit came flying out of the Workshop and fired at the missile exploding it, but also launching the suit through the windows in front of us. 

"JARVIS, MYA, get everyone out of here!" as the armor busted through the window, sending glass and stone everywhere, Pepper and Jessi's suits formed and blocked Maya and Mia from getting hurt. 

My suit formed as I jumped out of the way but I was quickly pissed at the suit that was made. It's my noncombat prototype suit. "Shit."

BOOM! the house shook raddaling, right before I got by the chest plate of a suit. "Watch it. I Don't have a infident number of suits." - "Sorry, the opening isn't big enough to have more then one go through." - "Noted."

I launched through the missing glass and headed straight for the middle helicopter. going straight at it I took a direct attack from the bullets and I kept getting updates in how they were destroying my suit.

I went to the back and grabbed its wing, spun and threw it towards the ocean. I put my arm out to fire a missile and got the alert I didn't need at the moment. 

Jarvis: "This suit is repulsers only remember." Two seconds ago I relized that. 

I flew full force to the one to the left and launched the suit at it while I ejected myself out of it, then exploded it.

My hands glowed blue as I kept myself in the air with Chaos magic. 

I faced the other two and put up a shield to block the rain of bullets coming at me, when I heard a second explosion as the helicopter that my suit hit flew through my house. "Come on!" 

I propelled myself to the one farthest away then used the suit going to the other Helecopter to jump off of to change my direction slightly. 

I ripped off the mini gun to get it out of my way before I landed in the helicopter. I hit the back of the passager seat sending its occupant flying through the windshield. Killian's Second in command turned to me with his hand glowing and tried to grab my hand, I stopped him with my magic but he threw something on my wrist. 

a blue glow flashed around his arm from the elbow down before it got ripped off and thrown into the ocean. I applied pressure around his whole body as he rose in the air. right before I crushed him to make sure he didn't come back I felt a spike of pain run through my arm which made me let him lose. 

before I could regard him he launched two missiles at my house so I jumped forward through the windshield without thinking. when I went to catch myself with magic I found a new problem. my magic isn't working. "Suit. Now!" 

right before I hit the water a suit surrounded me. I tried to make it back up to stop the missile that didn't get stopped. due to my failure, I got met with the stone from my house instead sending me into the water. 

I tried to make a portal but for like the millionth time today I ran into a problem, this is a suit I made before I integrated a Sling ring into it, plus my Magic is suddenly on the Frits.

luckily Jarvis is able to detach the hand to pull me from the rubble, then fly me out and away. away to Tennessee.
