Although the river flow is too strong, I managed to splash some water on myself. Cleaning gunk out of my nail and skin. now that I somewhat understand my position, here beg an important question

If you were lost in a cave with a stream in it, would it be better to follow the stream upstream on downstream?

" Why don't they teach this shit in school!" My sound seems to echo as I scream, like come on! the good news is that there must be an entrance for water to flow like this.

I decided to start walking down stream, worst came to worse. i can always walk back up.

I have been walking for at least 2 hours, and i still didn't find anything, but I noticed a thing. I noticed that there are fishes in the water. This is quite weird considering we are in a cave and all, but that means i must be going the right way.

i managed to hunt one with my spear by waiting on the side of the river, and it works perfectly. it tastes like salmon! The fish itself didn't look any different than earth fish.

" Raw meat tastes good and all, but i need to say i pefer eating this." i clean my mouth with water. At least the aftertaste doesn't stick to my mouth as much as raw meat does. My ears then pick up something else.

Bats? perfect! i can test out my skills! ha! after 10 minutes of walking, i found the source. A colony of bat perching upside down on the cave roof. Aside from the obvious resemblance to earth bats, the only diffrent is they are a lot bigger and have dark black fur with a red fur around their necks.

They seem to be hunting fish as they take turns diving and pulling the fish up to the wall and eating them. I should be a bit worried if all of them attack me, so I try to be as quiet as possible.

Ok, it's time to test out the spells , but i have no idea how to do this. Kaurna memories didn't tell me anything on how to activate the spell. i pick a bat that perch on the outskirt of the pack.

now, to make an example of how you cast spells in this world, it takes time to cast more powerful spells. Blood magic is fast because i am using resources that exist already. making something appear is a different story. i need to guide my mana in a spectifc patten for spells to work, it not fancy like they make it seem in the anime where there is a magic circle appearing. Or maybe it just how I cast spells? I have no idea.

i dont know if this is nomarl, but there is a way to use the power of your imagination. Look, i am not an expert at this dont expect anything. it is hard to explain without it sounding like I am bullshiting it, which most of the time I am, but we will pretend like I am a smart person.

Ok, here we go. First, try at Morach Control. I imagine my mana going through my tagert body and into their mine, forcing a change in their thoughts patterns that i am their queen and they must serve no matter what, it no diffrent then brainwashing, really.

The moment i finish the casting, the bat eyes open and fly down to me, landing on my shoulder. Amazing, i did it on my first try! I must be a genius, ha! Now, let see how good the control works.

" Fly on the floor," i said in english, no more louder than a whisper. The bat doesn't move. i am not Surprise. I don't expect the bat to understand language, much less English.

Another thing that I pick up while going through her memories is the Vampiric Language, English doesn't exist in this world for obvious reasons.

i tried that, too, it didnt work. Ok, i think , because bats aren't intelligent enough to comprehend language, so i decided to do something else. I send a mana signal, i try to convert what i want the bat to do and send it to the bat.

It works! the bat flew down on the cave floor before looking up for its next instruction from its queen.

' show me the entrance.' i sent another message, which made the bat start flying downstream, following the river. I start chasing the bat.

Kate brought me through several holes and area some part seem like maze even, but we always found the river even if we take a different way, which made me have trust in this bat.

Not long after, me and Kate arrive at a big chamber. Yes, I named the bat Kate, I was thinking of those popular girls' names when I thought of that, but it ok! having a pet does make me less insane if you think about it. Isolation is a good way to kill me, with boredom.

Before I could even let out my next trail of thought, I heard a screen from Kate as I saw a huge spiderweb that somehow managed to catch Kate. The spiderweb is blocking the way out of the chambers. Even if Kate is big, the more she moves, the worse the spiderweb sticks around her. ' Stop moving.' Kate stopped and looked at me with those red eyes before I saw who made those webs.

A big spider, as big as a bear, starts moving towards Kate with it ugly face and fangs. Now I can deal with Kate, casue the bats are cute, but there is no way I am letting 12 legs?! wait, hold up. This thing has 12 legs, I shouldn't be surprised. I need to keep my cool.

Ok, focus. I grabbed my spears tight. This would be the first time fighting head-on with a creature. i can only use physical attacks and monarch order. Monarch Control would take too long, I am not letting my guide and pet die. I am a bit nervous because I never use Monarch Control before, damn it! I am stupid!

I should have taken my time testing out my skills and don't rush out immediately. The logical thing would be to let Kate die and leave the spider alone but the chance of me coming back more prepared is low due to the fact I need to get another bat but I don't even remember my way back to go get more!

Even if I don't get another bat, what after I kill the spider? what if there are more mazes? I would be fucked without Kate. shit I need to calm down for real.

I gave out a nervous smile, I have no clothes and no armor. one hit from the spider, and it was over for me.

" I have never eaten a spider, but I am always up for new experiences."
