Entering The Door
Swinging my feet back and forth, I stop my thoughts briefly, wondering if this is really a good idea. Looking to the side, from the table I'm currently sitting on, I take a glance at Nemu.
Right now Nemu is currently directing her fellow researchers, whether it be simply telling them what to do, or going somewhere and actually helping with the prep for their… experiment. Of course, everyone who approached Nemu had a slightly nervous expression, slightly chipping away at their previous excited bravado.
Sighing to myself, I stop the swinging of my legs as I lean back, laying my back down on the rather large table.
Sitting here, on this table, surrounded by machinery and devices, all set up just to experiment on me, I wonder if she really trusts these, only slightly, crazed scientist, Hyde I mean.
Deciding to trust the person who is almost a stranger to me, I look forward, having sensed someone nearby.
As it turns out, actually, Hyde had seemingly changed my Hydro-Motion, making it an all-around sensing ability. I'm not too sure how it works... But I seem to be able to sense things through vibrations, as well as things like air currents.
Looking forward from my laying position, I spot Nemu staring at me, a slightly distracted look on her face. Sitting up I place my hands on the table, using them to lean back as I sit. Tilting my head slightly I stare back at Nemu, waiting for a response.
After a few moments, she shakes her head slightly, closing her eyes, before reopening them, a slight smile now on her face as she continues to approach.
Reaching me she stops, placing her hands on her hips as a smirk makes it's way up her face.
"Lily! I'm proud to say that the final preparations are done!"
Not showing any visible response to her words, I simply slide off the table, landing quietly on the ground as I stare up to her.
"For what?"
At this, she shows a disbelieving face as if to show shock at what I said, surprisingly.
"Hah? For our dre-"
"No, not for 'your dreams'... I want to know what the fuck that door is and what the hell it'll do to me... Ok...?"
With no shift in my tone, I let the girl know just how I was feeling, causing a slightly surprised look to cross her face.
"U-um it's a-ah um...."
Tensing up a bit, she seems to glance around nervously for a moment before sighing, seeming to deflate in the process. Sending a small, single-eyed glare at me she sighs again as she turns around to start walking.
"Its a gateway to an artificially created reality where we will be able to influence it in such a way that makes it seem natural, due to it's nature. With this we'll be able to cause the circumstances in which you will become a gemstone... Geez, couldn't you've let me stay all righteous and shit..."
Letting a blink out, I stare at her back briefly as she starts to walk away, following her after a slight moment.
'So she was upset cause she's a chunni... Huh, and here I thought there was some big secret...'
After a little bit of walking, we reach the center of the room where the door stands, or rather where it stood. In the place of the door is a large black cube, looked to made of some sort of thick metal.
Glancing at Nemu, she continues walking past the cube, coming next to some sort of terminal a bit way from the metal abomination.
In the next few moments, she types through the terminal before a sudden sliding noise comes from the cube.
Looking back at it, a portion of the vibe has opened, allowing me to see the inside, which seems to contain the door.
Looking at Nemu, she gives a large smile and a thumbs up.
"Just some safety precautions, ok?
Hesitating slightly, I reluctantly go into the black box, the entrance shutting behind me as I enter.
A long beep reverberates through the room, coming from a speaker on one of the corners of the room.
"Alright Lily! I'll go over what will happen in the next few moments... Ok?"
"Alright so, after I'm done talking to you the door will open, and you'll go through it. You will lose consciousness immediately after entering the door, you will not gain consciousness till after you exit..."
"Once you wake up, you'll be in a contained area so we can safely monitor to you until we can guarantee the safety of you, as well as us... After that we'll record some data on you as well as have you partake in a system scan..."
"After this the experiment will be over... We may contact you for follow up experiments... Well pretty much everything else is going to be handled by your sister, so don't worry... Is there any questions you have before we begin?"
Thinking for a moment, only one question comes to mind...
"This won't... Take long, will it?"
After a brief pause a small laugh comes over through the speaker.
"Nope, this will be over very soon!"
Hearing this I let go of a sigh of relief, as I still have some things I'd like to do...
Another beep comes through the speaker, indicating that Nemu is done speaking to me, then, the door opens.
With a slight reluctance, I stare into the dark abyss within the door, steeling my resolve I step forward, entering the door.

Ugh... "Nope, this will be over very soon!", yeah by that I mean this shit. Even I, as the author, am starting to get tired of writing THIS.
Anyway, I realized that writing this step by step is really stupid and inefficient, so the next chapter will probably start at the system scan phase, where they already know here ability and are testing it.
By the system scan phase, I mean the first paragraph will likely be during the system scan, and then the rest of the chapter will be introducing or the beginning of the next encounter.
Sorry this is taking too long but, the next chapter will be better.
Also, about the missed upload yesterday... Sorry! Yesterday I pretty much had actual stuff to do... And when I was sitting on my bed, thinking of what to write, I had a thought...
'I really don't want to do this'
And so, I didn't!
Ah, well I'll try not to think that again...
