The Wedding

Having trouble sleeping due to the light coming through the window, Hope instinctively turned to the other side, her back toward the sun. Her hand ended up on a soft material, probably silk, that moved rhythmically up and down.

Unable to move her other hand, Hope opened her eyes. It took her a few seconds to realize that her right hand was resting on Wrenn's chest, which was fast asleep in the same position he had fallen from the beginning.

A sigh of disgust emerged while moving her hand to the curtain and wiping it off as if it was dirty. It was enough for Hope that she was linked to this individual and that today was the wedding day. A tense feeling spread through her body when she thought about the wedding. The woman wanted to scream.

Hope thought of killing him. It would have been so easy for her to do that while he was lying there unconscious. But it would still have been a no-escape situation. And she would end up dead. Most probably, so would Drake.
