Side Story 34: War or Brawl?

All the servants of the black and red faction stared at their clearly intimidating group except the assassin of black. Who was currently hiding from the war as the master is just an ordinary person that got caught up in the war.

"Hmmm, this won't be interesting if they're this weak. Let us even the playing field then?" Ein smiled at them and snapped his fingers. The servants just looked at him, not really knowing what he did.

But all of them suddenly felt a rush of power, especially the stronger ones. Like the lancer of red Karna. And archer of black Chiron, who is a divine spirit similar to Quetzalcoatl.

Ein then left the silver team alone and he teleported to the ruler class of the holy grail war. "What's up? I'm the moderator now, how about some tea and biscuits?" Ein sat on a chair as a table was already prepared from nowhere. The woman that has a flag just furrowed her brows in confusion. (pic)

"Who are you?" The blonde was suspicious of him and just squinted her eyes. "Shouldn't you introduce yourself first? The french are insufferable as always. Even though they are a saint." Ein snickered and the woman snarled.

"I am Jeanne d'Arc. Now tell me, who are you?" Jeanne couldn't really do anything because she was too uptight and she doesn't know if they're breaking the rules in the new clusterfuck of a war they will be having.

"Well met, I am Einheri. Nice to meet you, saint of Orleans. Care for a piece of yakitori?" Ein put down a plate of freshly grilled skewers and she reluctantly sat down to know more of the mysterious invaders. But she didn't touch anything as she was a spirit and they don't need sustenance except mana.

"What? Not hungry? Ohhh, sorry. It makes you remember some things, you were barbecued after all." Ein took it away and Jeanne's eyebrows twitched madly.

"You claim to be the moderator of this holy grail war now. What do you mean by that?" Jeanne asked while her face was twitching from his earlier unsavory comment.

"Hmm, it means what it means. You can just go along and relax, there's new rules and that is for everyone to have a brawl. The holy grail will never be in the possession of anyone after all. And I'll grant any wish that the winner wants." Ein shrugged and Jeanne furrowed her brows.

"I still do not understand... How will you be able to accomplish that even?" Jeanne was confused and she tilted her head.

"Magic, anyways. Come here Tiamat, these taste good. I made them myself, ahhh~" Ein put a macaron in Tiamat's mouth and the goddess widened her eyes in surprise. She then stared at him and slowly reached out for other treats.

"Yosh, good girl. You can have as much as you like. Don't worry about Jeanne here, she was poor so she doesn't really like relaxing." Ein laughed and Jeanne's cheeks twitched once again.

Meanwhile, the first one to enter the fray of battle was the fastest one. Rider, Lucoa. "Yahoo! Come on everyone, let's have a nice battle! Lucha Libre is the greatest ya know?" Quetzalcoatl lunged at the first combatant that was the closest.

And the unlucky person was the saber of black, along with saber of red. Siegfried the dragon slayer and Mordred, the knight of treachery.

"Shit. This isn't going to be fun at all, is it?" Mordred looked over to Siegfried and the dragon slayer nodded with a grave expression. They were stronger than ever, but the blonde that was going for them in a straight line, wielding a piece of wood with obsidian on them called macuahuitl was clearly not a good omen.

"Heads up!" Lucoa jumped and swung her weapon at Siegfried from above. He immediately dodged the attack as he felt that the blow would shatter his guard.

But with Lucoa's EX rank skill Lucha Libre, she had amazing control of her body. Which made Siegfried go wide eyed as she suddenly spun as her weapon crashed to the ground. Raising dust and debris everywhere.

"No~ you should fight without backing... Down!" She finished gathering momentum and kicked him on his side. Siegfried tried protecting himself with his arm, but it resounded with an audible crack. Even with his high durability from his legend of slaying Fafnir and bathing on its blood.

He flew like a goddamned top and spun in the air, hitting the ground like a pebble as his body skipped on it. Making Mordred wince as she brandished her sword.

"Wow~ I feel so light. My master is certainly incredible!" Lucoa stretched her body and picked up her macuahuitl again. She then looked at Mordred and she gave a toothy smile. Her teeth turning dagger like, finding new prey.

"Well, hello there. I wish you could fight well~" Quetzalcoatl then smiled at her and launched herself at Mordred like a bullet. Their weapons, clashing violently.

Mordred gritted her teeth as her boots sunk to the ground from Lucoa's over head swing. Mordred used reinforcement to strengthen her body.

"Take this!" The knight took advantage of the basically infinite mana Ein gave them and used mana burst. Swinging her sword with a roar as red lightning came out of it.

"Ohhh! That was impressive!" Lucoa dodged and was a bit surprised that Mordred could suddenly gain such strength with her skill. And while she was in mid air, Siegfried tried attacking her.

But she twisted her body and kicked him in the head, making him fly away. Lucoa then followed his trajectory and while he was upside down, locked her legs tightly on his shoulders and neck. "Uh-oh." Siegfried uttered as he was suddenly slammed to the ground, face first.

"Ahhh, saber ga shinda!" Mordred shouted out as they were basically unspoken allies right now against Lucoa.

"Ooohh, that was a good one. I guess that's a first that a lancer didn't get bodied." Ein laughed and Jeanne looked at him in confusion.

Mordred gritted her teeth and started using her noble phantasm. "Clarent Blood Arthur!" Red lightning arced at her blade and a towering energy sword appeared.

"Whoo, big sword you got there! A shame if it misses." Lucoa snickered and dodged her attacks. It wouldn't do much against her anyways, but she still dodged because it was more fun that way.

Mordred swung her sword like a berserker. Wildly flailing it around, causing wanton destruction. The dust then got blown away as Siegfried activated Balmung to its full power. A blade of energy made out of true ether pierced the sky. An energy from the age of gods, which makes up the gods themselves.

Siegfried then looked at Mordred and they nodded at each other. They both swung their noble phantasm at Quetzalcoatl and the blades of energy crashed onto her.

The ground exploded instantly, their attacks sundering the earth. Dust was raised, rock and pebbles flew everywhere.

But they suddenly saw the ground started to scorch and melt. Quetzalcoatl held the blades of their noble phantasm with her bare hands and her blonde hair was burning brightly.

"Ahhhh, you guys are really trying hard~ I really like it when humans struggle to evolve and be stronger. But I have orders from my master. Piedra del Sol." A small flame appeared right in front of Quetzalcoatl and she put it inside of her chest. She stomped on the ground, shattering her shin guards and braces.

"What a hot turn of events! It can't be stopped now! Witness the cataclysmic event that claimed countless lives!" Quetzalcoatl's eyes burned brightly, she jumped and accelerated to the skies as a burning fireball.

"I shall burn everything away and become the comet that killed the earth!" She was now in space and everyone noticed the attack that will come.

"Shit, she's not gonna use that on some humans will she?" Ishtar asked Gilgamesh and the blonde nodded with a laugh. "Unfortunately she will, that goddess likes lucha Libre too much."

"I will bring you down! Balmung!" Siegfried used up all the stored true ether on Balmung and smiled. Thinking that he will use his best against the overwhelming enemy.

"Clarent! I will not fall here, I will rule Camelot as is my birth right before I perish!" Mordred crackled with red lightning and charged up for a counter attack as well.

Quetzalcoatl then reentered the atmosphere like a burning meteor. About to drop kick the enemies. "Ultimo Tope Patada!"

"Hmm, Kalpas has a rival with drop kicks it seems. Oh, shades by the way." Ein nodded in satisfaction at Quetzalcoatl's attack and put shades on Jeanne, but Kalpas' Kamen rider drop kick was still stronger.

Burning flames, true ether, and blood red energy clashed all at once. Blowing away everything that was in the way.

A pulse of heat made every flammable thing in sight combust. A shock wave then pulverized the battlefield that Ein contained for them.

Siegfried and Mordred's full powered attacks resisted Quetzalcoatl's advance for only a split second. She was too much for them and she broke their counter like a hot knife through butter.

Though she restrained herself enough so Mordred and Siegfried won't get vaporized. Suddenly snuffing out her flames and gave them a split kick right at their chins. Robbing the two of their consciousness.

"Boo, master used a command seal just to make it less explosive. I would've done it on my own will if you ordered it you know?" Lucoa pouted at Alfia and her master floated towards her with a sigh.

"Well that wasn't what happened earlier. But good job, Lucoa. That was... Quite exciting, not gonna lie." Alfia cracked a small smile and thought she could get used to sending people to fight annoying bastards.

Lucoa then hefted up Mordred and dragged Siegfried to the sidelines. Their masters tried using their command seals to bring them back, but Ein made it so that they can't be used when the servants are defeated already.

"Pretty nice, two servants for my collection." Ein rubbed his palms and took pictures of them in various poses. He'll then make Phyllis post it on the net so more suckers will bring them more gacha money.

"Jeanne, do a pose too. I'll wire you the cut you'll make so you can have some cash. Poor saintess, dear oh dear. Died, penniless." Ein shook his head in disappointment and fake sadness.

"I... I do not care about worldly temptations and desires!" Jeanne blushed and got angry.

"Don't worry, we'll give you a good life. Gacha money is quite lucrative you know? And how about you cosplay with your casual clothes earlier too? I didn't know you liked those kinds of uniforms." Ein smirked at her and Jeanne panicked.

"Dad, you're a genius! And then we'll do an event, a meet and greet the heroic spirits. They'll give us tons of money!" Tora overheard their conversation and went up to them in a rush.

"Tora, baby! You're also a genius. I didn't think of that, the whales will be spending big money to meet them!" Ein patted Tora's head and she purred.

"Uhhh, they do know that the others are going to fight soon right? This is a war of epic proportions, the civil war in Orario is nothing compared to this. That guy you beat up will kill anyone there." Alfia pointed at Siegfried who was being pulled by Lucoa and sighed at their antics.

"Ohh, Alfia. You do not understand." Ein clicked his tongue and she raised a brow at his comment.

"That's why you'll always be working 9-5, you gotta hustle baby. You might be rich because you're an adventurer. But what about Meteria? She could've worked in her room even though she had an illness." Ein explained with a smile and Tora nodded sagely.

"Money makes the world go round nya. You should know that already, Alfia-nee. Why do you think dad made a partnership with Demeter-san?" Tora shook her head in disappointment and Alfia deadpanned at them.

"Well, we got side tracked. Anyways, let's watch the next one!" Ein took out more drinks and treats. Observing the next battles that will happen.
