Gifts and celebration

Noah reached home by 6:30 pm. As he entered the house, the lights were off and he couldn't see anything.

"Mom...Alice"

"Mom, is there anyone at home."

As he reached the living room, the lights turned on.

"Surprise."

Alicia's joyful voice came and soon he saw everyone including Jane, Alicia, Grandma Ella, Max, Mike and even Theo.

There were balloons and decorations in the whole living room and a cake was present.

Jane came close to him and hugged him.

"My son has now started his career with a successful debut. So a celebration must be done."

He was very happy with this surprise and thanked everyone.

"Oh, don't be a cry baby. Come here and cut the cake." said grandma Ella.

The whole celebration was simple but fulfilling. All of family and most of the friends were present. The dinner was prepared at home and most of the dishes were his favorite. After the dinner, he looked at everyone:

"I also bought gifts for everyone. I wanted to give them to you separately. But now I think, it is the best time to give."

Saying that, he ran to the living room and took all the bags to the dining table. He started taking out things and started giving them:

" Mom this is for you. I hope you like it."

Jane took the package and opened it. It was a beautiful diamond necklace.

" Oh, it's beautiful. Thank you my baby."

Then he gave their respective gifts to Alicia and Grandma Ella. They all were happy and thanked him.

After that, he took out the other bags and took out the watches. Seeing that there were three watch boxes, everyone thought that they must be for Mike, Max and Theo. He gave the watches to Mike and Theo.

"This is for you. Without you, I think I wouldn't be able to reach here."

Mike took the watch and Theo spoke: "You can put it on my hand."

Noah nodded and put it on their hands. Jane thought it was strange but then thought maybe it was the request of an older brother and didn't mind it.

He then took out the shoe box for Max and gave it to him:

"I know you like to keep a collection of them. So I bought a pair for you."

"Thank you. I thought you bought me the the watch too. But I like this better." said Max and took the box from Noah's hand.

"You bought an extra watch." said Jane. Everyone looked curiously at Noah.

"Well this is for another friend." Noah replied and gave his usual smile.

"Brother, and whom is this shirt for." Alicia came running and took out the polo shirt which he bought for Gerard. It caught everyone's attention. He came to Alicia and took the shirt from her hands.

"It is also for a friend."

"But it is quite a big size." said Jane looking at the size number on shirt.

Noah didn't explain anything and just placed the shirt inside the bag.

"Well who is this friend for whom you prepared more gifts than anyone." Theo spoke with questioning voice. Jane and Mike also looked at Noah.

Noah just shrugged: "Well he is a friend I made at the set. He helped me a lot. So I wanted to thank him."

"Ok" Jane nodded and didn't ask anything further. The matter ended happily but there was a frown on Theo's face when seeing the gifts for Gerald, especially the shirt.

At night, Noah was lying on the bed thinking about his day. He really enjoyed the whole day and loved the celebration. He just wish that his future days can be as happy as now.

His phone rang and he came out of his thoughts. He sat up on the bed and picked up the phone. A voice came:

"How are you, and how was your day today."

"It was good. I went to shopping for the whole day. And there was even a surprise celebration at home today for me. I enjoyed a lot. Tell me, how was your day.?

"It was okay. It was the same as usual. Strict shooting."

"When will your shooting end?" asked Noah.

"Well, it will take about two more months. After shooting in UK, we have to move to China for further shooting. What, are you missing me already? " Gerard said in a teasing voice.

"Well I do miss you a little now." said Noah in a low voice.

Gerard was stunned and then started laughing. "What should I do with you. How can you be so cute."

Noah was a little shy and changed the topic, "I have prepared gifts for you. I will give it to you when you come back."

"What did you bought." asked Gerard. He was really curious about Noah's gift.

"No, it's a surprise. I will give it to you when you come back."

"OK, then I will finish my work and then fly back to you."

"OK, I will be waiting. Good night." said Noah.

"Good night, take care." came voice on the phone.

Noah hung up the phone and then jumped on his bed. He really feels fresh after talking to Gerard. Soon, he was in a dreamland, sleeping peacefully.
