Agent Cody Banks

Noah was now sitting in Mike's office, last night Mike called him and told him to come to his office tomorrow.

"Mike, what's the matter. You called for me urgently."

"Yes, there is an important matter I want to talk to you about. Do you remember the project about which I told you that I was negotiating with the studio."

" You told me that you were in the middle of negotiations but the studio wanted to wait till the release of my movies."

"Yes, it's the MGM studio with which I was negotiating. It's for movie "Agent Cody Banks". It is a teenage action comedy film. Although i agree that acting in big productions has many benefits, but no matter what, your role is still a supporting role. And playing supporting roles for a long time might affect audience perception of you."

"So you want me to act in this movie."

Mike nodded and placed the script on the table: "This is an action comedy with the main actor as a teenager boy which suits you. So I think you should audition for this movie. But you have a competitor."

"Who"

" Frankie Muniz. He is also competing for the role. He has gained some fame recently and has already acted in a movie as a main actor but it was a low budget movie. And your role in "Road to perdition" gives you an edge even compared to his movie as a main lead."

"When is the audition?" Noah asked but Mike could see that there was a competitive spirit in Noah's eyes. After all, no one wants to lose to the competitors of same age. So Mike told him:

"It's on Tuesday. So you have three days to prepare. Although the time is a little short but... "

" I will be ready till then." Noah interjected him. Then he left the Mike's office and returned home to read the script.

Mike saw him leaving and then took his mobile phone to make some calls. It is his duty as an agent to prepare everything he can for his artist and assist him.

On Tuesday, Mike picked up Noah at 8 am. MGM building is two hours away from here and the audition time is 11 am.

"Are you ready for today." Mike asked Noah beside him.

"Well, yes, I have rehersed the script many times. I hope the audition goes well."

"Yes, it will." Mike spoke with confidence in his eyes and continued: "Then lets go."

They reached the MGM building by 10:30 am. Noah followed Mike to sixth floor.

"Just keep walking beside me and don't worry. Believe yourself, you will pass the audition."

Noah nodded and followed beside him. They reached the sixth floor through the elevator. Mike greeted a person there and called him to introduce.

"Noah, this is Guy Oseary. He is one of the producers of the movie and a friend of mine." and then introduced Noah: "This is Noah Martin. His two movies have been released recently. You might have seen him."

Guy nodded and spoke: "I have seen him in both the movies. And I am impressed by his role in "Road to perdition." "

Mike then changed the topic: "OK, then lets go to the audition office." saying that, he took Noah away and Guy Oseary went to the audition studio.

On the way, Mike spoke: "In Hollywood, a role can played by many people. So unless you are a superstar, every actor is changable. So the greatest ability of an Artist is not his performance or acting but the ability to play the role."

Noah nodded and he understands this concept well. From his memory of the future guy, he has seen such things countless times and he agrees with Mike's words.

If it was another new actor, then he might feel uncomfortable or think that his pride is hurt. But Noah doesn't feel anything like this.

Mike was surprised that Noah was completely unaffected by this because some new artists mind this. But it is a good thing that it has no affect on Noah.

Soon, Noah was called to the audition studio. But he thinks that calling it office would be better. As he entered the office, he saw few people sitting on the chairs behind a table. They were Director Harald Zwart, Producer David Glasser, Producer Guy Oseary who he met outside and a member of screen actors union.

Noah greeted everyone. "Hello, I am Noah Martin."

Director Harald nodded to him, "OK Noah, you can start playing these lines."

He gave Noah a page through the assistant present in the office. Noah took the page. It was the part where Cody convinces Ronica that Natalie is in a problem and they have to rescue her. He read it for a few minutes and adjusted his body language.

Noah performed the lines as he had practiced before the audition. The audition went well.

"You can go now, we will inform your agent the results soon."

Noah nodded and went out of the office. He gave his best, now he can only wait for the results.

As Noah got out of the office, Director Harald spoke:

"What do everyone think about the audition."

"They both performed good and I am okay with any of them." said the producer David Glasser and looked at Guy Oseary: "What do you think?"

Guy looked at everyone and spoke: "I believe that Noah Martin should be casted in this role. Although Frankie Muniz has acted in a main actor movie before, but it cannot beat the edge of Noah Martin who has made his debut as an acting school in movies with actors like Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Matthew McConaughey, etc. Noah has shown his strong acting in previous two movies."

"But it not a literary film. And this one is a pure commercial film." spoke Dylan Sellers.

"But even in commercial film, Noah's appearance gives him the advantage." replied Guy Oseary.

"OK then let's vote. Those who agree with Noah Martin can raise their hands."

Eveeyone except Dylan Sellers raised their hands. Seeing thia, Director Harald spoke:

" I think now we have the answer."
