Minerva accompanied me, when she took a liking to me, and decided to give me a tour of the grounds and the castle, when we stopped as we reached the Girl's Bathroom on the second floor.

I heard a sobbing sound, and walked in ignoring Minerva's words, that it is just a ghost.

I came to a bathroom stall, where I heard a girl cry. She saw me, and flew to my face,"What are you doing here? Are you here to tease me like the others?"

I looked at her in compassion, and gently brought my hand to her cheek. I saw how my hand phased through her, and concentrated on my desire to touch her.

I felt my magic churn and respond to my wishes, as my hands gained a silvery sheen to it. I could now touch her, and in extension, any ghost.

I gently touched the shocked face of the girl and whispered softly. "Don't cry. You are such a cute girl. Why do you not go to the pure land?"

She saw me and tried to hug me, but failed as my body wasn't covered in the silver sheen. I ignored the gasp and shock of Minerva, and opened my arms wide, to hug her.

She barged like a missile in my arms, and cuddled her face in the crook of my neck.

"I haven't hugged anyone like this before." She whispered softly.

I gently patted her ethereal silky hair, as she held me tight in her arms.

I asked her again, "Why do you not go to the Pure Land? Do you not hear it's call? Lady Death is kind, you know."

Myrtle looked in shock at me. "You can hear the whispers?"

I shook my head. "No, but I know, how Lady Death doesn't like to wait. You should not resist her call. No ambition or desire is worth her ire."

Myrtle shook her head hard. "I won't go. I am too afraid. It is scary and cold. And lonely!"

I gently kissed her forehead. "No sweetheart. You would meet all your loved ones again. You will find peace there, the peace you never felt here. You would be where you belong darling. You mustn't be afraid. Find courage in your heart. You can do it."

She looked at me, afraid and unsure. "But will I meet you again?"

I nodded softly at her. "When it is my time. I would welcome Lady Death willingly. And we would meet again. As equals."

She smiled, and kissed my cheeks. "Thank you. I will never forget you. I will always watch over you."

I nodded, and spoke softly. "You cannot leave, unless you accept what happened, darling. So I will be your witness."

She nodded resolutely and took a deep breath, which was unneeded for a ghost. "I was angry at the boys who teased me about my glasses. So I was crying in the stall when I heard a boy's voice. He was speaking something in a weird sound and voice, so I thought he would leave. But I heard his voice again, and I was so angry, that I came out of the stall to tell him off. I opened the door, and turned to the Basin, and saw two large yellow eyes looking at me. And,....and I DIED!"

She broke down sobbing, and cried hard, as I held her in my arms, as she shook and gasped and wheezed and cried.

Minerva was quiet and watched like a hawk the entire time. Suddenly, Myrtle began to glow silver as I felt an ethereal cold spread in the air. Minerva's glasses froze and cracked as she readied her wand.

I looked at her, for the first time and spoke, "Don't Professor, your wand and magic can do no harm to Lady Death."

I saw a silhouette which appeared bony and ethereal, and I could feel her cold seep into the air, and chill my veins.

I heard a soft woman's voice, "Thank you for releasing the girl from her shackles."

I saw the silhouette and knew I had now the attention of a primordial concept itself.

"What is one soul of an innocent girl, to the entity who is death itself? Isn't it the same to you, if a hero perishes or a sparrow falls?"

I saw Minerva shivering, as no doubt, she is feeling dread and terror right now. I saw her try to reach me and protect me, but I shook my head at her.

I heard Death speak. "Myrtle returning to me, was an excuse to find you, and after you were born, I had to meet you. After all, you seek to unite the Hallows, don't you? Do you desire to be my master?"

I laughed at her words, as I could see Death was amused with her question too. We both ignored Minerva's strangled squeak.

"Of course. I desire to unite the Hallows, but not because of the Lore. I know, there can be no master of death, Death is unforgiving, unfair, unavoidable, and unwinnable. And you shall always be on time for me. But I wanted to see, if the three artefacts were merely products of ingenious craftsmanship of old wizards, or truly the Death's gift to lure humans into strife and watch the mayhem unfold."

I heard Death laugh softly, as she gently caressed my cheek. Her bony fingers rested near my dimple, as she looked at me in amusement.

"For someone blessed by being above me, I can understand why you don't even fear me. But it makes me interested in you. Very few mortals are truly unafraid when they meet me, and fewer still of these mortals impress me. Allow me to be generous then, as I want to see what you are truly capable of, in thsi reality and the next."

I looked at her and asked. "Are you also the same as the Horseman who gave his ring to Dean?"

She laughed melodiously and replied, "Oh Death! Ohh Death! Ohhh Death! Would you spare me over another year?"

I screamed in shock. "So you also watched as the Mad Titan mocked his love for you, and endeavoured to end half the life in the reality, to court you?"

She didn't reply, but I could see her nod. She gently kissed my forehead and said, "You will never die, you will never suffer, every ailment every pain, every wound, every injury shall heal. And you shall entertain me with your adventures Planewalker! You are now blessed by Death!"

And there was a Loud Thunder, that shook the castle, as the winds blew and the animals and creatures all turned as one, to look at the spot where I stood. Every Being associated with Death felt her blessing me, and knew that she favoured me.

Every Ghost and Dementor, Lethifold and Thestral were excited to sense my presence and Death's blessing on me. And while this happened,

I could only wryly smile at Minerva's shocked eyes and shrug. "Well, that happened."
