"What happened afterwards? So you've met him, he was being rude to your friends. What happened then?" She leaned back a little in her black chair not breaking eye contact with me. The small notebook on her lap had a few notes and abbreviations written on it but I couldn't tell what it said.
"Nothing much."
"Something must have happened for him to be become so important to you."
I didn't say anything.
"Then tell me more about your time at Hogwarts before that one summer in third year. How did your friendship with Harry, Hermione and Ron develop?"
I decided to open up a bit more. She wanted to help me after all. And I promised them I'd accept it. "Well- After asking him out..."

"Just leave, Malfoy."
"What is this attitude, Granger? You aren't mad at me for being the top in all classes we had last year, are you?"
"I couldn't care less." Hermione lies. I just know she's lying. She always wants to be the best and this guy being better than her must have really hurt her ego.
"That's a likely story." Malfoy ironically says. Talk.
"Who do you think you are anyway?" I draw myself up to my full height again after looking down on the ground the whole time. "Coming here insulting my friends. Besides, yes I want to go out with Ron even though he may not be the richest. At least he's not some self-centred idiot who feels the need to hurt others!"
"What did you say?"
"If you want to express your hate and frustration for not having any friends go do it somewhere else!" My hands push him away and the two boys standing next to him catch him before he falls.
"This is not over!" He fixes his coat and gives all of us one last warning look before turning around walking into the cold with the two boys following him. I breathe out. My whole body is shaking and while the heat that made its way through my whole body earlier completely disappeared a cold sneaks into it.
"That was so cool!" Ron praises me and taps my shoulder. When I turn around a big smile embellishes his face. My eyes wander to Harry and Hermione who both look at me shockingly but it quickly turns into excitement. "Back to your question! Yes I'd love to."
With that being said there was no coldness, no heat, no feelings except joy left in my body. "Really?"
He nods euphorically and punches Harry after he made gagging sounds.
We started playing afterwards until really late when our teachers told us to come inside. Hermione and I sneaked into Ron's and Harry's room like every day and talked about so many things, played board games, secretly watched horror movies that traumatised us but we kept watching them since no one would admit that it scared us. This was our routine every day. For the next few weeks.
As for Draco Malfoy: I used to get into arguments with him all the time, some even ended up in detention. He kept provoking me and so did I. We were in a constant battle with each other making sure that the other one never had a peaceful day. But that was our thing. It was fine. Everything was fine. Those were just childish games and pranks, no one got hurt. At least not until the summer before the third year.
