5. THE ANSWER.

"Our marriage!??"

"Yes...? Why?"

"Why do you want to marry me?"

Of course, she was curious! She wanted to know the reason. She was lonely all these five years, ad now, he appears out of nowhere and is asking her to marry him. She was furious. She wanted to cry.

"Because...It's written on the will,"

"What will?" asked Sarah surprised.

"...My grandfather died,"

"I'm sorry," she said, looking down at her hands.

"It's okay," he said, giving her a bright smile.

"How and where have you been all these years?" she asked him, to just divert the topic.

He wasn't able to say that he was a don, that will only give her another idea to reject this marriage.

"I'm the chairman of the company you're working in."

"Whaa..."

"Yes. You're light as a feather, have you ever been eating your food regularly?" he answered her laughing at her reaction.

"Well, I've been too busy," she said smiling at him.

Now, this was exhausting for him, because he wanted to let her know about her parents' acceptance of this marriage too. But, he wanted her to answer first. Before asking for her answer, he cleared his throat first. Her expression went blank for a second after she heard him clearing his throat.

"Umm... Sarah?"

"Yes," she said confused at his sudden call for her.

"W-what is your answer? I mean, w-will you marry me?" he said stuttering at words.

"Actually I--" she stopped at an instant when he interrupted her saying,

"Your parents accepted to this too."

"W-what!?"

"You can call your mom for confirmation too."

"N-no need," she said startled at his confidence. He always made her heart jump in fear. this confidence of him was more clear than her heart for him.

"Well, now, Is it a yes or no?"

"Y-yes," she said still trembling because she was afraid. she hadn't got to at least know more about him, but she already said yes to marriage with him.

"Don't worry, I'll take good care of you," he said, understanding her facial expression.

Yes, it was too fast for her, but she already had accepted to marry him. He gave out an invisible smile. He liked the way she was so submissive and innocent. And, wanted nobody touching her.

She was discharged from the hospital the next day, and when she went to her apartment, Lucy was there looking worried, talking to someone on the phone. Sarah put on a smile on her face and called out her name before running to her to hug her. Lucy ran to her and hugged her tightly crying, along with Sarah. Lucy noticed a presence behind Sarah, at the door.

"Who is he?"

"Aah... He is my--"

"She's my bride-to-be," said Eric, interrupting Sarah before she could say something to her.

Sarah's face turned pale once she saw Lucy. She was looking lifeless, gaping her mouth open, upon looking at Eric.

"Please, excuse me," said Sarah to Eric leaving him all alone in the living room.

"Wait--"

"Please," said Sarah hurriedly before he spoke anything and pulled Lucy to her bedroom and made her sit on the bed.

And there was Eric, left all alone, and there was a strong breeze of wind in his lonely presence.

"Hey, you okay!? What happened to you??" Sarah asked her worried.

"Eeeek!! Is he the one? Your childhood friend?"

"Yes?"

"I'm happy for you! He's so handsome! But wait, did he just say bride to be? Are you getting married?" She asked in excitement. Of course, she was excited for her friend who is a workaholic! Never dated anyone nor showed interest in love stories, neither cried upon hearing a sad story too. She was stone, and now, she was gonna get some kind of affection.

Now, Sarah said the whole long story that had happened the moment Lucy went to work. Lucy started crying out all of a sudden saying,

"My friend's gonna get married to a man, a handsome man at that!!"

"Hush now! He can hear you," said Sarah startled at her sudden wild behavior.

As she said, Eric was listening to everything they spoke. The walls were weak you know. He gave out a soft chuckle at their words. Seeing Sarah being startled or afraid made her look cute. She is so innocent, and he knew it.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience," said Sarah to Eric, embarrassed at what Lucy spoke.

"It's no problem," said Eric smiling at her with his dimple cheeks. She blushed at this sight. He was handsome for real.

"The wedding is gonna take place this weekend, on Saturday. We have to go to the store tomorrow, to choose what your wedding gown will be," said Eric now, more seriously.

"Okay..." said Sarah softly, upon his voice being husky enough to echo around the room.

He didn't notice that his voice was that base, to that it would make her be quiet. He was handsome, and Sarah fell in love with him once again, after 5 years.
