Time To Talk

As the day at school ended I noticed I would have to wait for a new bus. I actually thought about buying a car before realizing I never got a driver license. Also this a cramped city with cars everywhere.

As I walked out of the school I noticed Regina was right next to me still.

"Can you please leave me be." I asked.

"I haven't got plans." She said walking right next to me still.

As we passed my the school fence and took a turn I could imagine the drama to ensure. She had a strange aura about her. She seemed to just make people like her by simply being there.

Yet somehow in hell this wasn't happening. It might have something to do with it being effective against human. Thank God I'm part demon.

As I thought that I had a huge grin.

"Want to get a bite." I asked.

"Why not." She said like this was normal for her.

When we walked inside we both a made a order.

"What can I get you." The young man asked taking out a note pad.

"Just a burger and strawberry smoothie for me." I said as Regina looked at the menu.

"I'll have the same I guess." She said as it became clear she hadn't made up her mind.

"That will be right up." He said walking over to give the order to the chief.

"So what's your plan here exactly." I asked as we waited.

"Don't know what you mean." She said calmly relaxing into the booths chair.

She was wearing a black comfortable dark red thin jacket and and a white shirt. The jacket was the same shade of her hair. I was wearing blue and was wearing red. The strange combo indeed.

"His your order." The young man said placing the plates down and went to another table to take of them.

"Why are you still here. I don't exactly trust you." I said staring her down.

"Well it's not like I have much to go back too." She said taking a bite into the burger.

"Sure. Like a queen has nothing to go back for." I said starting my food.

"Not exactly. A queen is only a queen if there is a king. The king gives power to the queen." She whispered slightly.

"So that's why your so much weaker. Your conduit of power has been cut." I said taking it all in.

"Took you long enough. Also you did the same to three others correct?" She asked.

"Yes." I said as it all came on top of me at once.

She was the only queen I let live. But what about the successors. Their children or other powerful demons would try to take this power as a claim.

A demon kings power is their own. It is taken by the one who kills them or if they give up their power. Without the effect of a demon kings power the next demon would have no right to a throne.

I really had dug myself a big hole.

"Glad you see what a mess you caused." Regina said finishing her smoothie.

"Let me guess. You want me to give you that conduit back and stop others from gaining it." I said trying to piece things together.

"Correct." She said as we both finished eating.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out a roll of cash.

"How much of that did you even take." She asked.

"I might have taken the enter vault from your rival." I said as she gave off shocked smile.

"Well at least you did something right." She said as I paid.

When we walked out i noticed we might miss he bus.

"We just take my ride." She said pointing down a alley.

"Fine." I said following her.

After a few minutes came to a stop as she burnt a small crack into the wall my tapping it.

"Okay it should only be a few minutes." She said looking at me weirdly.

"So you know I was once human." She asked seeming nervous.

"That's what I figured. You weren't in a specific type." I replied calmly.

To our right further down the alley and a turn to the right a little banging caught our ears.

Three men walked out looking at us.

"Well look at this couple fellas." The skinny leader of the group said.

"Can I deal with them." Regina asked tugging at my jacket sleeve.

"Well I wanted too as well. But since your so polite feel free.

I said taking a step and turning to look at them.

"You got some guts kid. Just hand over anything you got and you both leave alive." The one man said looking at me.

Regina was suddenly behind them.

"What." The guy on the right said before having a head slice his head off.

"What are." The leader said taking a step back a way from her but closer to me.

"Nothing much." Regina said as a small flame from her finger became large going through the second guys chest.

"Monster." The man tried to scream as I snapped his neck.

"You got a way to clean this up." I asked as she cleaned her hand.

"Yes." She said normally.

The man's neck I snapped suddenly started giving off a demons power.

"Oh no you don't." Regina said smashing through his skull.

"We could have asked questions." I said as a limozine drive up through the concrete.

The concrete separated into many sections and fell right back into place like nothing happened.

"Well our ride is here." Regina said opening the door and getting.

I got in on the other side.

"Well it seems some demons really are in the look out for me." I said.

"Aren't you glad I'm here." She said as the limo drove forward and entered a vortex.

"Sure. But I don't really need you either." I said.

"Come on. It's fun messing with humans. Considering your not exactly human anynore." She said getting closer.

"I already know that I'm going to have a very long life ahead." I said as she leans against me.

"So past nothing then. Fresh start." I asked.

"I think that would be best." She said.

"Care to explain how you go from trying to kill me to being this friendly." I asked.

"Come on. Sure you killed my husband and son. But a lot worse has happened." She said as I agreed with her.

"So then you forgive me for the eye thing?" She asked nervously.

"Not really. Sure I got better ones. But hurt considering you can't really die in hell." I said staring her down as she rest against me.

"Also mind to get off." I asked.

"I'm comfortable." She complained.

I released a full amount of a single demon kings aura. She immediately moved away like she had been in a trance.

"Okay I get it." She said annoyed as the limo stopped out front of my house.

"Don't go out at night too much." She said as I opened the door.

"You stay away from my family and I might listen to you." I said getting out and closing the door.

It's so hard to tell what is real and fake with her. I walked over and went inside as the sun started to go behind the large buildings in the distance.
