IN THE ROOM:

james:"alright we are here now lets sleep we are going to have a lot to do Tomorrow and i don't want to deal with you guys that much longer ok, goodnight"

emily:"james has got a point we need sleep for tomorrow we don't know what askeladd is going to make us do so we need to be ready"

everyone nods. but someone had other things to worry about.

alisha:"wait we are all gunna sleep in the same room that's disgusting i don't want to"

jay:"we don't have a choice ok so stop being a brat and sleep and besides it's not like we sleep on the same bed we all got separate beds so i don't care"

ed:"quite boy have you forgotten who is in charge me of course I'm the strongest here understand"

'I'm older than you why are you calling me boy' jay thought.

jay:"alright I'm gunna go to sleep now if you got complaints leave then with future me goodnight"

ed and alisha are annoyed by this. who does jay think he is he isn't god or askeladd he's just some nobody with 10 more mana than the average person 'bastard' they both thought and with that over with everyone falls asleep.

NEXT DAY:

a loud bag on the door woke everyone one up

unknown voice:"10 minutes to get ready and head to the hall for breakfast then the king will go over what you will be doing today" the person disappeared.

alisha:"that's not a lot of time for all 5 of us we will have to rush"

james:"well for you guys but for me and jay it's enough all we need to do is clean ourselves and get changed it's not that hard"

Jay:"well said now let's get ready"

james:"you make it sound serious all we're doing is getting ready it's not like we're going to fight a war"

jay just face palm's in response and emily just laughs at james being a clown as usual.

10 MINUTES LATER:

at the hall,the heroes could be seen eating the best food soup

james:"why soup shouldn't we ger something more special since you know were heroes"

emily:"maybe they don't have much money they are probably focusing on their military"

jay:"doubt that this is all they can do, have you seen this place it's massive there is probably better food i can't complain better than nothing"

ed:"you're so simple it's annoying"

jay:"at least i know what i want"

james laughs at this but alisha just death steering him

Emily:"ok that's enough everyone we are all done let's head to the field the king wants to see us" everyone nods

ON THE FIELD:

askeladd:"ok I'm going to teach you the basics of mana so let's start"

askeladd:"manna is everywhere from the animals to the plants to the sky we humans absorb manna naturally and the manna gets absorbed into our stomach if we push this manna all other our body's we can cast spells this helps us greatly improve our capabilities and achieve feets no human without manna can. any questions"

ed:"so are you going to teach us how to control our manna?"

askeladd nods.

askeladd:"it will take a lot of concentration to feel the manna in your body even harder if you have less of it, close your eyes and focus on your breathing imagine that you are moving the manna around your body"

the group all tried this but nothing happend happend. askeladd expected this so he didn't mind.

SEVERAL MINUTES LATER:

a tremor in the ground can be felt askeladd looks to who is making the tremor none other than on of the heroes

askeladd:"well your manna is quite powerful you have great potential ed"

ed opens his eyes

ed:"thank you" ed bows his head slightly and moves to the side to watch his other freinds to unlock their magic

10 MINUTES LATER:

another tremor is felt this time not as powerful.

askeladd:"impressive you're the second one to unlock magic alisha good job"

alisha:"thank you king" just like ed she takes her spot

FEW MINUTES LATER:

two tremors can be felt combined they are stronger than Ed's askeladd was caught of gaurd two of them awaking magic at the same time is quite impressive that's what he thinks anyway.

askeladd:"well done james and Emily both unlocking magic at the same time good job"

both james and Emily nod both go join ed and alisha

james:"how long had jay been there?"

emily:"don't know but i think he's struggling to control his magic"

james:"but he should never mind"

everyone accept askeladd looked confused infact he had a grin on his face.

askeladd:"well looks like you took your time jay"

everyone looks over.

jay:"seems so but i feel different it's hard to explain"

askeladd:"i can guess why, your body is not use to manna fully like the others plus there was no tremor unlike the others"

everyone looks confused then they realised askeladd was correct they were confused but ed answered and gave them more questions at the same time.

ed:"is it because he doesn't have much manna unlike us"

askeladd:"correct but also he has better control over his manna than you all currently do" everyone looked shocked especially ed who thought jay couldn't bessed him at anything he wasn't mad he was pissed

'that bastard I'll teach him to beat me at anything'

'wow look at you jay getting one over us looks like it'll be a fun adventure' james thought

emily:"i believed in you jay"

askeladd:"ok everyone back to their chambers I'll see you tomorrow and give you your next orders

everyone bows and leaves

IN THE HALLWAY:

ed:hey jay i wanna know something"

it was just ed and jay in the hallway everyone was to far ahead to hear them.

jay turns around and ed grabs him by the throat and lifts him up in the air.

ed:"i don't know who you think you are but just because you have better mana control than i do doesn't mean you are stronger than me you got that i can crush your neck if i wanted"

jay started to suffocate.

ed:"what's that can't hear you speak up"

ed tightens his grip on Jay's neck he was about to pass out but a feeling hit him a cold feeling that was felt to his very soul he let go of jay and walked of. jay put his hand on his cheek and smiles coldly

jay:"soon ed I'll be better soon" and with that jay stands up and walks to catch up with the others.
