Chapter-28: Betrayal and disclosure

"What! How did they die?" Ash was shocked when he found that the villagers he wanted save were all dead. That means, the fights he fought were all for nothing.

He felt heavy when he found that they were all dead. He didn't want to go there because he thought that the smoke should still be in the air. If not then why would the villagers die without any reason.

Ash felt extremely sad when he saw that the villagers he fought so hard for had died in the end.

"Brother, don't blame yourself. It must be the assassins that killed them." Eira consoled him after seeing his depressed look.

"No. Even though they wanted to kill us all. Why would they need to kill them in this way. They are strong enough to kill us all by themselves."

"They poisoned the villagers because they waited to have some fun with us before killing them. They didn't wanted to kill them by poison."

"If they wanted to kill them in this way, they would not have given me the antidote and they even swore on their inner demons that the antidote is authentic." Ash said with a depressed tone.

"Ashmus, it was not your fault. The enemy you are facing right now is too strong for the current you."

"Even if you had saved the villagers from the poison, what would you do when the assassins are real serious about ending us all. Are you going to save them again? How many time are you going to save them, huh....untill you die yourself from trying to save them."

"You have done all you can do. You already fought 3 hard battles and tired to save them. But they didn't have it in thier destiny to live any longer. You cannot do anything against the fate of their life." The blue haired girl felt her heart throb when she saw his depressed look. So she tried to tell him not to blame himself too much.

Ash was not responsible for their lives. He was only responsible for his own family's safety. He just wanted to save them because they were his fellow villagers.

Now that he heard the girl's words, Ash felt his mind clear up from this depressed feeling.

Now that his mind has cleared up, he realised that he doesn't have to blame himself any more. He has already done everything he can do.

"I'm sorry... I couldn't save you. Please forgive me." Even though he didn't blame himself any more, these people were still his fellow villagers. He has to atleast apologize to them and pay respect to their bodies.

When he lifted his head, he felt that there was something very wrong here. He looked around but didn't know what was wrong here.

Suddenly, he thought of something and shouted," Wait. Where is Kenzo? If the poison was still in the air, he should have died here. But where is his corpse?"

The girl also noticed that something was wrong and started looking around.

When she wanted to say something. She noticed that the Assassins were coming towards them. They quickly got alert, wanted to see what they want now.

The assassins quickly surrounded them in a half circle.

But when the assassins came closer, they all felt their mind exploded from the shock.

Because they saw Kenzo was walking with the assassins. He was walking behind the feminine man and the lecherous man with his head lowered.

When the assassins were 20 meters away, they all stopped.

Ashmus felt like his legs go weak when he saw this scene. But he quickly got out of his shock and shouted at Kenzo," Kenzo, what are you doing with these people?"

"I'm sorry brother Ashmus. I also didn't want to do this." Kenzo raised his head and said with a low voice.

"What do you mean by you didn't want to do this?" Ash asked again.

Kenzo just lowered his head and didn't say anything. He had a guilty look on his face.

"Hahahahaha. That shocked and furious look on your face is extremely satisfying to watch. It feels so good." The lecherous man laughed in a loud voice while looking at his face.

Ash didn't say anything to him and just stared at kenzo with blazing eyes. He wanted to know why he would do this.

The lecherous man saw this and stopped laughing. Then he smiled at Ashmus and said," You want to know why he would be with us, Darkmoon?"

Ashmus didn't say anything but shifted his gaze to the lecherous man.

The man smiled even more and said while laughing," It all starts from when you guys saved that girl. After 4 hours of her treatment, this boy's father sent him to pick some herbs from outside of the village."

"When he was picking herbs happily, our leader found him and he wanted to kill him there, but he thought about having some fun with you Villagers and started planning."

"He told this boy about his plans. Hahaha....And this coward was extremely scared of death, so he agreed to our leader's plans."

"Our leader promised him to not kill him and his father if he completed his plans, and so he happily went back to the village and acted like nothing happened and waited for our leader to arrive in your village." The lecherous man said their plan to Ash.

Ashmus, who heard their words was extremely shocked and staggered backwards. He felt his legs go weak.

"I have to agree, he is extremely proficient at playing a spy. I've even thought about bringing him to the Darkmoon to make him our spy." Then the man said with a pleased expression. He was very satisfied by his performance.

"After our leader attacked your village, he got close to you and you coincidentally asked him to show you the way out of the village. Hahahaha. You played with our script extremely well." Both the lecherous man and the feminine man laughed loudly.
