Chapter 361: An indescribable imagination?

Ivan tightened his grip on his wand and peered as hard as he could into the dark tunnel ahead.

He wanted to see exactly what was coming out of the end, but he couldn't find words to accurately and concretely describe the three approaching monsters.

Ivan could only describe them in a more intuitive way. In front of him, there were three red giant crustaceans about five feet tall.

In species classification, they might be closer to mushrooms.

To be precise, they appeared to be a mixture of crustaceans and fungi.

They buzzed, their slender bodies were divided into many insect-like knots, and their exposed scales were thin, with uneven folds.

In front of their bodies were six pairs of barbed claws, curled together, seemingly protecting something, intermittently crawling.

Behind them was a pair of huge crimson fleshy wings. The huge surfaces of the wings were rotten, and the flesh on them was slowly falling off.

Soon, a large number of small beige maggots crawled out from inside their wounds, attached themselves to the mucus, and pulled the flesh back to its original position.

The whole process was too unpleasant, and Ivan couldn't help but look away.

Fear was like a thin poisonous snake, coiled in the dull air around it, waving a scarlet tongue, about to suffocate him right there.

Okegiga and Ivan did not move.

He raised his wand high, and by its light saw that the heads of the three monsters looked exactly like the hideous statues he had seen before.

They had green oval swirling tumors attached to their heads, like a randomly trimmed bush covered with holes of varying sizes.

These creatures were the monsters Ivan saw in the murals along the road. They were not the mere imagination of the centaurs as Ivan expected. They were summoned from the void or created by magic. In short, they already existed in reality.

"The creations of the evil god!" Okegiga muttered softly, with obvious disdain in his voice.

Then, without warning, the strong centaur charged forward.

He raised his sharp spear high, with unmatched momentum and enough power to shatter a Dragon.

Ivan was also quick to follow up. He waved his wand and sent several spells to cooperate with Okegiga's attack.

The three monsters, their huge wings fluttering rapidly, easily escaped Ivan's attack.

They were buzzing, their terrible heads were shaking, and there were subtle changes in them.

Their muscles were writhing, and holes of different sizes began to change.

Ivan felt a faint magic, very strange, a magic he had never encountered before, that was too strange.

He wanted to warn Okegiga, but before he could shout, he saw the centaur, who was about to reach the monsters, stop abruptly.

His hands dropped weakly on both sides of his body, his eyes closed, and his behavior was very abnormal.

Ivan did not know what had happened to this mighty centaur warrior. Obviously, the enemy's magic worked, and Okegiga fell under a hypnosis effect.

He was completely under his control. He lost his sense of resistance and no longer thought of attacking.

Ivan shouted loudly, and the centaur did not seem to hear anything. He walked forward on his hooves, coming closer and closer to the three monsters.

Their claws twisted and slowly opened outward, revealing what they were protecting in the center.

This time, Ivan saw clearly that, in the center of their torsos, were large round reddish-brown mouths with fangs and sharp teeth inside.

The three mouths were constantly chewing and stretching, and mucous, viscera, blood and flesh were mingling, constantly opening, closing and opening.

Under the monsters' control, Okegiga crouched down and pointed his head at the mouth closest to him, and walked step by step....

If he stuck his head into that mouth full of sharp teeth, the scene would be horrifying. Ivan could already imagine what was about to happen, and just imagining the sound scared him to the extreme!

"Damn!" Ivan hastily waved his wand and sent several spells in succession.

The spells advanced rapidly, and when they came in contact with the monster's body, the air around it seemed to turn into an oily goo in an instant. As a result, the speed of the magical light emitted by Ivan slowed considerably.

The monsters easily avoided Ivan's attack. He did not know why the buzzing emitted from their bodies grew louder and louder; were they expressing anger and discontent with Ivan, or were they laughing at his cluelessness?

Okegiga stopped in place and stared straight ahead.

After a brief, unintelligible exchange, two monsters flew toward Ivan, and the holes in their heads twisted.

The strange magical waves passed, and Ivan's eyes were blurry. The surrounding area became increasingly foggy. He didn't know how the yellow mist came out of nowhere and covered him.

He was still in the Temple of the Centaurs, but he felt lost, far from his own body.

In the faint yellow fog, Ivan could not see his surroundings and was completely lost, slowly thinking about nothing, only listening to a voice speaking to him in the front.

Ivan could not perceive what the other person was saying. He walked slowly forward. Maybe if he got close enough to listen carefully, he might know why he came here!

Although Ivan felt bad about this deep in his heart, he couldn't stop his body.

He moved uncontrollably and leaned in slowly....

As he got closer, the original fuzzy voice became clearer.

It seemed to be shouting Ivan's name, and all the emotion he had felt as if it was being taken away. Only fear and endless loneliness remained in him!

Memories of Ivan's past flashed through his mind like a slide show....

He knew a dark magic that acted on the soul, but at that moment, it was absent from his mind.

Ivan remembered coming to Hogwarts, creating a newspaper, working with Harry to defeat the Basilisk, returning to the castle a thousand years ago, helping Sirius Black catch Peter Pettigrew, his first date with Hermione, and studying magic alone in the middle of the night. The further he went, the clearer his memories became.

Then he remembered his conversation with the Gryffindor himself, and the huge eyes he saw outside the

Temple that were also in the fog. But now, his sense of loss was much stronger than then.

He remembered how he escaped. Without hesitation, Ivan unconsciously raised his wand and shouted, "Expecto.... PATRONUM!"

The sudden appearance of his Patronus chased away all illusions; and Ivan found himself still in the Temple of the Centaurs, with all the fog around him.

His shoulders were firmly grasped by the claws of a monster, and he was thrusting his head into the huge fanged mouth in the center of its body.

Under the influence of Ivan's Patronus, the mouth was not closed on his head by a silvery white cloak.

The actions of the three monsters became sluggish. It seemed that they instinctively wanted to escape, but before they could move, they were violently struck by Okegiga.

The long spear in the hands of the centaur warrior stabbed their bodies with great force, breaking them, spreading much flesh and blood everywhere. The passageway was filled with green bloodstains.

"Thank you, human!" Okegiga finally stopped next to Ivan and said loudly, "You saved me, I owe you my life."
