Chapter 16: Manuscript Preparation (Edited)

Ivan and Ginny followed Hagrid into the hut, the hut had hams and pheasants hanging from the ceiling, there was also a fireplace where there was a copper kettle for boiling water, and in the corner was a huge bed with a patchwork quilt on it.

Hagrid poured them a cup of tea and took a large stack of stone cakes out of the fireplace. Ivan picked one up out of curiosity and tasted it almost breaking his teeth, and Ginny, who was covering her mouth and laughing, obviously knew and so didn't touch them.

The two had a great time as Hagrid told the two of them his impressions of each Weasley, and it was clear that the twins, Fred and, George were a pain in the arse, but he also praised Charlie Weasley.

Then the three of them talked about Harry.

Once again, Hagrid thanked Ivan for saving Harry from the Dursleys during the summer vacations.

Hagrid said in annoyance, "Poor Harry, those hateful Muggles dared to do that to him."

Hagrid, while wiping his eyes with a large handkerchief, said, "He was just a baby when I pulled him out of the wreckage."

Ivan came up with a brilliant idea as he repeated, "Remains of the house?!"

Hagrid, his eyes filling with tears, nodded and said, "Yes, it was his house, in Godric's Hollow, where Lily was killed by he who must not be named!"

Ivan and Ginny took turns hugging Hagrid, you could tell that the giant half-blood, who was taller than everyone else, had a great deal of emotions and was very kind.

Thanks to Hagrid, Ivan finally found out who to write about, and it would be from Harry's mother, Lily, about her life before she died.

It is well documented and was part of the most famous magical event of modern times. As one of the key figures, there should be many people wanting to know more about this subject.

Ivan also knows that Snape had feelings for Lily, so if he does well, he could help get people in Slytherin to read the paper.

After Hagrid calmed down a few minutes later, Ivan told him about The Magic of Hogwarts and invited him to join in and write about the magical creatures of the forbidden forest.

Hagrid hesitated for a few moments and said, "I don't know, Ivan, I don't know if I can handle the job!"

Ivan looked at Hagrid confidently and said, "Rest assured, Hagrid, no one can compare to you when it comes to caring for magical creatures, and no one at Hogwarts knows more about them than you."

In fact, no one needed this job more than Hagrid.

After so many years of working with magical creatures, Hagrid desperately wanted to pass on his experiences, and Ivan's paper provided a way.

Since Hagrid's sense of beauty is not the same as that of ordinary people, Ivan advised him to start with unicorns as his first creature. Otherwise, Hagrid would probably start with a giant three-headed dog, a giant spider or worse.

The next thing was much easier, was to find the magical creature.

So Hagrid was in charge of finding the unicorns, and later Ivan would take people to take pictures of them and write about Hagrid's experience with the creature.

When Ivan and Ginny returned to the castle, they saw people talking about the newspaper advertisement. They soon learned what had happened; over the course of the afternoon, Fred and George had posted promotional posters on every bulletin board in the school.

Everyone was talking about things related to the Hogwarts Magic newspaper.

A third year Hufflepuff student patted Ivan on the shoulder and said, "This is amazing Ivan, a newspaper that belongs to Hogwarts students!"

From the door to the Great Dining Hall, a few people were constantly coming up to greet him, most of whom Ivan had never seen before, but they seemed to know him.

At the Gryffindor table, Fred and George stood together with giant grins on their faces.

Fred said, "The response has been unprecedented and the results have been fantastic!"

And George continued, "The orders are already starting to come in and quite a few people are ordering from us."

Indeed, the success of the promotional posters had caused several people to feel the pressure as well as the joy.

In the evening, in a corner in the Gryffindor common room, the first meeting of the entire staff of "Hogwarts Magic" was held, chaired by Hermione.

Hermione looked at everyone and said, "So far, we have received a total of 168 orders, most of them from Gryffindor."

But then Hermione looked at the scrolls at hand and said, "But no one is contributing any manuscripts."

Ivan comforted her, "Relax, Hermione, we still have time!"

Hermione looked at Ivan worriedly and said, "But there are only five days left, and some of you haven't given me the articles you are responsible for."

Then, Hermione looked at Ivan with a serious look and said, "Besides the manuscripts, we're missing the photos, and I wonder if we can get everything ready by next week"

Once Hermione said something about the photos, Colin, who was sitting next to Ivan, did his best to hide.

Because, according to the division of duties, he was supposed to be the one in charge of preparing the photographs, but aside from leaving the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom to take a few pictures of Harry on his way out of class, he had spent the afternoon cooped up in the common room playing wizard chess with his roommate.

While Hermione continually nagged them, Ivan remained silent, and when he looked at Harry and Ron sitting across from him, Harry winked at him, while Ron nodded discreetly, indicating that it was the right choice to remain silent.

When Hermione shows interest in something, I tried to pay attention to her, and if you have a different opinion, it's better to be silent.

In this way, everyone remained silent except Hermione, and a little later the meeting ended.

Harry and Ron were immediately taken away by Hermione as they prepared to go interview the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, Wood, to try to write an article about the house Quidditch team.

Fred said, "He's terrible, just like our mother!"

George continued, "That's right, if we don't turn in a passable manuscript next week!"

The twins said in unison, "She's going to kill us."

Immediately after, they dragged their little sister, Ginny, into another corner and looked like they were trying to write something about the Grand Staircase at Hogwarts.

Colin went to mail an order for the manifestation potion, while Ivan sat in front of the fireplace and began writing a letter to Bathilda Bagshot, a famous historian, and friend of Dumbledore's, who lived in Godric's Hollow, and was a neighbor of the Potters.

She was there the night Lord Voldemort attacked, so she knew many details.

Half an hour later, Ivan finished the letter.

He is satisfied with what he wrote. In the letter, he gave his purpose of wanting to know the information in a tone of admiration of the younger generation, hoping to get their help so that wizards could know more about Lily and sincerely invited her to become the consultant of The Magic of Hogwarts.

She went to the owlery and sent the letter, watching the owl fading into the night, a smile on Ivan's lips and he believed it wouldn't be long before Headmaster Dumbledore heard about this from his old friend.

Ivan was confident that, with Dumbledore's help, Mrs. Bagshot would be happy to tell him everything that had happened.
