Chapter 15

Hadrian quickly went to the injured Fiona and held his hand out and pulled the bullet out.After that he started casting healing spells as the wound slowly closed up leaving just a red mark.

Chamberlin wanted to take Fiona to the Mending Cabinet,but knew the bullet would stay in her body so with worried questioned"Is she okay now?"

Hadrian sighed and said"Yeah,she will be okay."

This whole situation made John extra guilty as he almost caused the death of his mother and possibly his whole family.Chamberlin didn't say anything to his son,as he didn't want to regret anything if he said something wrong because of his anger.

That night John was eaten out by the guilt and the nightmares from the war.He decided to remove the keys as whole from this world

John took all the keys and muttered"Father was right the keys are a danger to everyone."

That's when he heard someone behind him"The keys are just tools they are not good neither are they evil."

This caused John to look back in shock,as he saw Hadrian in the sofa reading a book as Hadrian continues"The person who uses them defines them."

John retorts"I almost caused the death of my whole family.If I drop them off somewhere no one will if them,then no one will ever be tempted by these keys."

John was planning to drop the key in the Titanic and drown himself so he could redeem himself.

Hadrian looked at John with sigh and said"You won't be able to keep them away as these keys are linked to your bloodline,so no matter what they will somehow find a way back to the Locke family."

John started sobbing he hated it as he told Hadrian everything he did during the war,how much he suffered and regretted everything.

Hadrian went next to him and whispered"You can apologize to your father and mother.Instead taking your life and going the easy way redeem yourself do something that makes you proud."

This whole discussion is heard by Chamberlin who went back to his wife and told her everything.This was heartbreaking hearing what your son went through.The boy went to war when he was just 14 years old and Fiona and Chamberlin quickly forgave their son for his mistakes.

While John actually went on to become a doctor and save lives,doing this he felt better and felt that he redeemed himself.John was actually grateful for Hadrian advice and not taking the easy way out.While Mary and Jean actually took over the business set up my Miranda Locke.The last child Ian would go to be key maker himself,while both their parents Chamberlin and Fiona passed to the afterlife using the Moon Key.

With a turn of the key Chamberlin opened the moon, as though the moon itself was a door. One can pass into the door taking them to a "backstage" of the world, referred to as "Chamberlin's Moon", and allowed both of them to pass into the afterlife gently.All the children was their to say goodbye for there father and mother before returning back home with the key.

But with each death came more and more issues for Hadrian because of having to see people close to you die of old age,while you always stay young itself makes it hard.At first Hadrian started using demon or nightmare killing as way to cope with time,but he needed something more so he started smoking and drinking.

Hadrian had to specifically create a magical whiskey for him to get drunk.
