'Well... at least I know I need to get stronger.' I wake up back in my room my body sweating profusely. With a sigh I sit up in my bed my body moving for the first time in a century. Looking at my hands I see that they're shaking so taking a deep breath I calm myself. It was a pretty stupid idea in all respects but I needed to see if I could stand against a Universal being. Seems not.
Getting off my bed, my feet touching the warm floor I take a deep breath, the taste of ash and smoke comforting in a weird way. With a thought my toga manifests on my body and I head to where Angela is sensing her soul.
She was laying there, her body relaxed as she basked in the dark glow of the sky. Next to her on the ground was a spilt drink obviously she experience similar tremors when I killed her. It looks like she planted a garden too. Meaning Demeter came by since she's the only one who could possibly spawn some plants for her here.
Stepping into the Atrium I immediately grab her attention. She quickly stands up and then prostrates on the dirt floor.
"Please forgive me Lord Hades!" She screams into the ground clearly very concerned about what I would do to her after she took Dreams side.
"Do you know what you did Angela?" I ask my demeanor shifting as I think about what to do to her. Originally she was supposed to be the vessel for Hyperion's soul, essentially turning her into a pseudo-god giving her near infinite potential, which is why I sent her to the mortal realm, to learn and grow but most of all to make a name for herself, in the future I had planned for her to lead one of my armies or at the very least be a loyal vassal one who would never betray me. But now, another course needs to be taken.
She sits silent for a moment. Clearly she doesn't view what she did to be betrayal, after all, all she did was warn me that Dream is stronger than I am, which while true she should have had more faith in me.
Finding the words she finally speaks, "I listened to Dream instead of you I didn't do what you said and even attacked you. I'm sorry." She says.
I cannot let this happen again, if someone can use her against me by simply convincing her that it's for my own good then what's even the point, I wouldn't be able to trust her.
"Stay here until I'm back." With a firm voice filled with my power I leave to my workshop, I'm going to need something to protect her during her punishment. I don't want her to get hurt or worse get tortured but I need to ensure she'll think twice about losing faith in me again.
"[Summon Metal: Vibranium]" A few seconds later a fat slab of Vibranium materializes on my workbench. Heating up my hand I grab the slab, heating it until it was malleable. With a rip I tear off a modest chunk and grab my hammer bringing it to the anvil. With a flex I bring the hammer down a loud tinge echoing throughout my palace no doubt alerting Angela that I'm making something, most likely for her punishment. But that just makes it all the more effective, like Chinese water torture where you know that its just water dripping but you don't know when. Curiosity is one of the universes biggest predator.
My hammer brings down enough force to mold the hot Vibranium like playdough easily bending it into the shape of armor. I was making a suit like Mercy's from Overwatch, after all she does have the same appearance and similar power set so I think it'll fit her nicely. The actual armor would be a skin fitting suit of interwoven fabric like metal, but I would add a spell to change the appearance to something more natural looking like cloth. My Idea is to model it after the winged victory skin, a Greek themed skin that I find pretty hot and works in the current time period.
The suit had a small halo of leaves that would work as an amplifier, a robe with long sleeves that leave the shoulders slightly exposed and extended fabric covering her front and back but leaving the sides of her legs open in the air. A skirt would cover that leading to sparse golden leggings connecting her winged heels to her robe. Her bodysuit was adorned with intricate patterns and gold accents extenuating her curves. On her back would be two small golden skeletal wings, the 'feathers' would be made of hard light constructs, that would unfold on command enabling her the ability to fly or hover as well as act as a conduit to her power. For now though it would simply be a prison as all of those features would be disabled.
Grabbing the orange hot suit of Vibranium with my bare hands I shove it in a barrel of oil an explosion of fire instantly blowing out. It felt like a nice breeze as the flames tickle my forearm. Pulling the suit out I check for any warps fixing any though metal manipulation for a quicker but less effective flattening. Letting it cool off I grab a piece of paper from a shelf drawing the design of the suit.
The suit no longer steaming and now dry I bring the piece of paper pressing it to it's chest piece muttering a spell. "[Transmogrify: Visual]" the paper dissolves into the air as the suit starts to morph into a copy of the drawing taking a few minutes.
My mind drifts back to the fight with the Corinthian and I can't believe I lost like that, it was like I was stuck, my mind trapped in whatever he was doing. My magic was completely ineffective and even my weapon. which should NEVER be able to be stopped like that was rendered useless.
On the bright side, I was in all fairness fighting a being who's been alive since around the beginning of the Universe so I not too upset. Its like a rookie losing to a 3 time champ really.
But a little upsetting nonetheless with a small sigh I refocus on my forgery.
The suit now finished looking like stylish Greek garb. Placing another spell this time the actually punishment. [Divine Curse: Curse of Binding],
[Divine Curse: Curse of Mercy] and [Divine Boon: Sustain]. Mercy was a curse Hera was thinking of putting on the gigantes during our fight with Cronus, sadly it doesn't really work on creatures specifically bred for war, but it will work on Angela with some self defense safeguards as well of course. What they do is pretty self explanatory but Binding means you can't get rid of something until you die and Mercy means you cant kill another living being, and even ants or flies fit in that criteria.
I pick it up by the halo the whole suit although not visibly connected trails along with it. Arriving back at the colorful Atrium I approach Angela's still prostrated form.
"I'm glad I don't have to repeat myself." Taking a seat on the lawn chair, still looking down at her she looks up at me clearly wanting this to be over with. After judging from my guesstimations I'd says she's been like that for over half a day.
"Here put this on, it's your punishment. I know, that in your heart, that you would never betray me, in the end I had planned to give this to you anyways though for a while you will have to endure." Looking at the pretty outfit she's clearly confused, but as soon as she touches it it a look of horror dawns on her face.
"I know you can feel it, the overbearing need to put on the suit, Id recommend you do because if you don't your body will probably break a few bones trying to do it itself." Her pupils dilate and her mouth starts to foam the curse already taking effect. With movements similar to a drug addict she hastily tears her own clothes off exposing her nude body. Her perky tits bounced as she frenzied to put the suit on and her firm bubble butt jiggled as she moved, it would be erotic in other circumstances but felt wrong to look at her like that given her state.
Within the span of 30 seconds the entire outfit is on as she does some final touches on the leggings and halo and then falls to her knees before me.
"Please Lord Hades forgive me!" Tears welling up in her eyes threatening to break free. She looks so pitiful. Coming closer I reach down and with a gentle look I softly wipe them away my hand resting on her cheek as she leans into my touch.
"I forgive you, don't worry. The next time I see you I have plans for you and I so I need you to prepare. This suit will protect you, amplify your powers, and grant you status among anyone who knows of me." Seeing her relax visibly I continue.
"Now I'm going to send you back to the mortal realm and the next time I see you I hope you're ready. I have very big plans for us."
With that sorted I move on the the next thing on the agenda. Something I completely forgot about was that I made Amaltheia pregnant.
"So, what did Demeter tell you about my kid anything important?" I say to the kneeling Angela sitting on the floor now dressed in her eternal uniform.
"Just that he hasn't been born yet and that Amaltheia is extremely stressed about the birth. That was years ago though" She says with a tired expression.
"He?" I say quietly
It was somewhat of a shock to actually have a child even if it wasn't born yet, thank Rob. I mean I have a kid. Will have a kid, might have one now actually. My heart was pounding at the prospect now that it's so real, I'll be a father. What a terrifying thought. What if I'm not a good one? What if he doesn't like me? What if Amaltheia hates me for abandoning her?!
It was a stressing thought but I was a god, If I can't handle one kid how would I handle making an army of them.
With quick movements I summon a portal back to Crete nearly jumping in before I remember Angela.
Looking back at Angela seeing she's more composed I decide she's well enough to be sent on her way.
"I'll see you in a few decades. I'm sending you to the southern part of Greece near one of the Underworld entrances, I recommend making a home near there." Opening a portal I motion for her to leave.
"Alright, the next time I die, I be worth to stan by your side!" With vigor she goes through the portal ideas of how to please me forming in her mind, maybe she should start a city of super soldiers, now that was an idea.
And with that out of the way I turn on my heels and enter my own portal, my vision becoming black for just a second.
....
A black oval with dark purple swirls suddenly pops into existence in the middle of the road. People stopping in their tracks to gawk at the strange thing. None of them were human, each having animal or monstrous characteristics be it fluffy bunny ears or dangerous dagger like teeth.
Silence encompasses the road as they wait with bated breath for what would surely pass through the dark gate. In tandem they all release a gasp as Hades walks through it, his tall and dark form sending shivers down the many onlookers as they immediately disperse with hurried steps at the sight of him. His name whispered by the masses as they gaze upon the king of the dead for the first time in centuries.
...
...
"My lady! Hades is back! He's finally back!" A forest nymph says, unhidden excitement pouring from her face. Many of the nymphs had heard of Hades greatness during the war for heaven, and many have grown to see him as an idol, no matter how much Zeus badmouths him.
Amaltheia quickly stands from her bed with confusion on her face. She looked different from before, it has been over a hundred years after all. She was taller but only slightly, her fur was still the same snow white only shinier and her horns have grown darker and stronger looking like metal instead of keratin. She was wearing a snug blue robe that barely hid her plump butt, and her face was still beautiful with sharp, pretty features showing that she's as youthful as ever.
Her cotton tail fluttered as she comprehended what her servant said and a wave of joy overcame her. Contrary to what Hades might think she doesn't hold anything against him, after all, he is a god, and she knows they have more important things to do than take care of a kid.
Speaking of said kid a hurried pitter patter of small feet echo as a small boy enters the room, a childish smile on his face. He was cute with a small nose and golden hair at his ears, already you could see his ancestry as his body was already toned. Amaltheia picks him up as he runs into her arms, her smile widening as she sees her joy, Meliodas.
