Lliw froze in shock as the female mechanical voice rang ceaselessly in his head.

After a while, the notifications stopped. Everything turned deathly silent.

" What the hell was that?" He thought.

The female mechanical voice rang out in his head.

" Uhm, are you the guide? " Lliw asked. The golden woman had told him that there was a guide system that assisted the player.

However, it didn't seem like things were going well.

" Is everything alright?" He asked.

{ The system is fully functional. The player may rest at ease }

" Uhm, so is it like an In-game name?" He asked.

{ Yes. Player may select any name they please }

Lliw thought about which name to choose. Should he go with a comical name? Or a super serious name? Or A badass name?..

" Is it permanent?" He asked.

{ Yes. Chosen name is bound to the player and cannot be modified }

" Alright. I choose < I love you > "

{ ... }

{ Player is advised to reconsider }

" Ah, why not? It's a pretty good name isn't it? Hehe this way I can every girl I meet to say she loves me " He laughed.

{... Yes but that also includes males as well. }

"... Ugh. Fine. I'll go with < Lord Storm > "

{ Would you like to confirm your name ? }

" Yup"

{ Name accepted }

Suddenly, Lliw felt his vision blur shortly before regaining his vision. His vision had changed.

He was no longer in the white space. He was standing In an open. Field. There was a training dummy a few meters away from him.

[Ding!]

{ Please move around to familiarize yourself with your new body }

Lliw did as he was told. Controlling the avatar wasn't really difficult. It was pretty much the same as his real body except that he felt stronger now. He felt like he had much more stamina than before. Actually, this was just the normal human body it's just that his body was a lot weaker than a normal human's.

Lliw marvelled at how powerful he felt. He gradually got over his amazement.

"Alright, it's good" he said.

{ Please select a weapon and attack the training puppet }

Suddenly, a table with with a variety of weapons appeared.

Lliw walked to him and picked up a sword. He had watched a lot of anime growing up. One if such anime was [ Sword Art Online ] . He spread out his body and lowered his left arm and raised his right. He held the sword tightly right hand.

With a powerful force, he kicked off the ground and accelerated with a speed he'd never known before. He felt like a wild beast. Once he was close to the training puppet, he transferred the force of his acceleration to his arm. The sword cut through the air leaving a trail of lazy afterimages behind.

The slash wasn't perfect but it was much better than the previous one.

" Wow, this much harder than I thought" he said admiringly.

"Alright, what's next?" He asked.

[Ding!]

{ Player must use the selected weapon to strike the training puppet's head, arms, legs and torso.

"Alright" Lliw said before getting into a basic stance. He swung his sword at the puppet's head.

~whoosh~

The sword went off course and he missed the head and struck nothing but air.

"Whoo, this is... Tricky" he muttered before trying again.

`klang~ the sword accurately struck the head but the resulting shock made him drop the sword.

" Damn, why?! fuck physics!' he cursed poor sir Isaac Newton and his 3rd law of motion.

Despite his complaint, he picked up the sword and tried again.

Another miss.

Another miss.

Hit.

Miss.

Hit.

Miss.

Although he was only required to hit each part once, he decided to go ahead and do it a couple more times since he didn't know if he could return to this space and also, if there was such a space later on.

...

It took him a when but he finally hit the head 10x consecutively. Next, he moved on to the arms. They were much easier. The legs were also easier than the head but a little harder than the arms.

Next was torso.

" Hash, what a fucking nightmare! Why is it so hard to get this damn thing to go straight?" He panted heavily. He was finding it difficult to strike the target spot as the sword would deviate by a few centimeters.

He tried again and again and it was only after getting royally tired did he manage to complete it.

A tab opened in front of his eyes. The tab had information regarding the player attributes.

( Attributes are the basics of all players. Each attribute point did something to his avatar.

1. Strength: increase physical strength and physical damage.

2. Agility : increases atk speed and movement speed.

3. Vitality : increases HP and HP regen

4. Endurance : increase resistance and stamina

5. Intelligence increases magic power

6. Wisdom increases Mana amount and mana regen

7. Luck increased occuring rate of special events.

Players could bring the reduced version of their stays over to their body on earth. Well, except luck. On earth, wisdom increased concentration. Intelligence increases memory and comprehension ability. Endurance increased stamina. Vitality increases a body's health. Agility increasd speed. Strength increased physical strength.

The system went on to describe to him how to increase one's stats

" Yeah. I get it now" he said. It wasn't too different from the games he'd played as a kid.
