Tutorial 1

Lliw was a little indecisive. In the games he used to play, he would always select the warrior class because he didn't want to be stuck with his weak body even in games but now, he wasn't so sure if that's what he wanted. He understood that this decision couldn't be made on a whim.

He looked at the glowing tab floating in front of him.

" So, 1 vitality stat increases HP by 100 and 1 wisdom stat increases mp by 10... Ugh whatever, this is a new beginning for me. I mustn't limit myself with past decisions." He thought and decided on which stats to upgrade.

He invested 3 AP into intelligence and 1 each into Wisdom and Endurance. It was rather unconventional but he went along with it anyway.

" What? Why?" He complained. He didn't want to be a summoner, they were the lamest mages out there. Also they get obsolete along the way. When it comes to strength, one can only rely on oneself. There would eventually come a point where one is so strong that there's no monster that's stronger than them, at that point, you can only rely on yourself to get stronger.

[Summon minion(1): summons a creature from another space. The variety of creatures that can be summoned increases as the skill mastery increases.

Level 1: summon warrior or Thief

Level 2 : summon Archer or Tank

Level 3: summon mage or healer

" Fuck! You can't fool me. This class is only good early on but it'll become useless later on" he cursed in his mind.

" Ok I'm ready" he said and the surroundings changed. From an open field to an eerie, dark forest. The sky was pitch black and the trees were all dried up . The soil was a pale brown. There were a few crystal clusters protruding from the ground that glowed with a pale green light. They were the only source of light in this dark place.

" Ok, bring it on. I don't think I should lose to a measly skeleton "

He said pumping himself up. He still had the sword from before.

A sound that he identified as the rattling of Bones echoed in the deathly silent forest. Lliw could easily pick up the sound of hard footsteps upon the dry soil.

The suspense proved a bit too much for him so he decided to meet it halfway. He held the sword tightly and walked towards the sound.

People never truly understand something until they experience it themselves. You can never truly understand the terror of a thief until you have been robbed.

Growing up as an otaku, Lliw had seen plenty skeletons from both games and Anime. Granted, those were just animated works but he had an impression of them.

"What...the hell Is this?" His earlier excitement instantly vanished when he saw his opponent. A 1.7 meter tall skeleton with a rusty dagger.

However, when did skeletons become so repulsive?

He could practically smell the pungent smell of death emanating from it.

It did not smell pleasant! The cracks and scratches on the bones were testament to how long the fucker had been alive...dead...undead.

" Wow, talk about a fossil" he clicked his tongue in disgust. It's ok if you're a skeleton, atleast have a shower if you're going to meet people.

The skeleton saw the short figure in front of it. A pale green flame lit up in its hollow eye sockets.

'roar' it gave a low roar and quickened it's speed.

"< Summon minion >!" Lliw activated his one and only spell. A dark energy gathered Infront of him and exploded. Next, a tall figure covered in shiny metal armor stepped out of the portal like some cool NPC. The figure held a shiny broadsword.

"Don't just stand there looking smug, attack the fucker" he said while trying to suppress his jealousy over it's cool armor.

The summoned warrior wordlessly drew it's sword and charged at the skeleton. Lliw was amazed at how smooth it's actions were. He stood still as he observed the battle between the 2. The skeleton's movements were stiff but we'll aimed. The summoned warrior easily blocked the dagger and countered with his own attack. It's sword swam swiftly thought the air and taking advantage of the skeleton's stiff movements, it utilized the moment the after it blocked the skeleton's attack and dealt a sharp blow to the skeleton's shoulder.

"20" a small white text floated above the skeleton's head.

" Ugh, what a let down, such weak damage" Lliw sighed disappointedly. Especially when he saw the skeleton's HP.

" Hm, looks like I can't sit in the sidelines after all" he muttered and decided to join in as well.

The skeleton was inferior to the summoned warrior in terms of skill, but it had superior HP and damage. Each successful hit dealt "50" damage. The summoned warrior only possessed [650] HP. It would be dead in 13 hits. Lliw got close to the skeleton and swung his sword at it's head.

"30!" His damage was also pathetic but together with the summoned warrior, they were even with the skeleton in terms of damage. The skeleton ignored him and focused in the summoned warrior.

Lliw realised that he needed to sync his attacks with the warrior's in order to beat the skeleton. He went behind the skeleton and thrust his sword the same time that the summoned warrior attacked. The skeleton parried the minions attack but could do nothing against his own.

"30"

He managed to successfully deal damage to the skeleton a few more times before it switched it's target to him instead of the summoned warrior.

Lliw had basically never fought before. He had seen plenty of action movies, anime and all but seeing was very different from doing.

The skeleton abruptly stopped attacking the summoned warrior and launched a straight dagger strike to his head.

Lliw froze from the mixture of both shock and fear and the strike landed squarely on his head.

"75" an orange text appeared above his head.

He kicked off the ground and jumped back. The skeleton didn't want to let him off so it ran after him. The summoned warrior took that opportunity to deal some damage to the skeleton.

The skeleton quickly caught up to Lliw and and swung it's dagger once more. Lliw did not panic as much as before and swung his sword to parry the incoming strike.

The summoned warrior caught up to them and started attacking the skeleton from behind.
