chapter 2: the chase
Flame hid in a alleyway and the people ran right past them.
"Alright Echo if I could get you home without you being seen that would be great." Flame said to himself
Echo woke up a bit later.
"Flame?" Echo said
"Hi there Echo." Flame said
Echo looked over at his sword.
"You must listen to what I tell you." a voice said. "Touch his sword."
"Let me see your sword." Echo said as she sat up
"Ok." Flame said as he moved his sword towards her
She put her hand on it and it started to glow.
"Echo what is happening?" Flame asked
"Don't know it just came into my mind." Echo said
"Found them!" someone said as they started coming down the alleyway.
"Echo get up we to move." Flame said as he pulled her arm
"Right." Echo said as she got up.
They started running out of the alley way.
"Flame we have go back to get Emily." Echo said
They stopped because they were surrounded.
"Echo can you fight?" Flame asked
"Yes but I might be rusty." She said as she took the ring off her tail. "Let's dance."
They got rid of all of them and started running to where Emily was and when they got there Emily and Marcus was fighting.
"Marcus you don't have to do this." Emily said
"It is to help everyone." Marcus said
"Are you sure." Emily said as she started casting magic
"Emily!" Echo shouted
"Echo your okay." Emily said
"Damn how hard is it to catch a dragon." someone said as he jumped down from a roof.
Echo started trying to get the collar off of her neck again.
"Hey what do you think you are doing." He said as he used quick run and came up behind Echo
Flame swinged his sword at him and he jumped back.
"You are a pest." he said as he came behind Flame and slammed him on the ground
"Flame!" Emily yelled
"I like your sword why don't you join us?" The man asked
"Like hell I will." Flame said as he threw him off
"Why do kids have to be so troublesome." He said
"We have to leave we can't stay here." Marcus said as he jumped up and disappeared
"We can can play another time kids." The man said
They both disappeared and and Echo trying to get the collar off again. Flame's sword disappeared and he came over to Echo so did Emily.
"Hey the collar wouldn't come off of my neck." Echo said
"Don't worry come to my house but first we need to cover that up." Emily said as she pointed to the collar
"But with what?" Flame asked
"Don't that answer yet." Emily said
"Flame you have jacket with you do you not." Echo said
"Yes." he said as he pulled it out of his backpack
"I can put this on and put the hood up." Echo said
"Good idea." Emily said
She put the jacket on and then she put the hood up and she also up the ring back on her tail.
"Let's go." Echo said
"Alright here we go." Flame said
They started running towards Flame's house.
"Mom we are home." Flame yelled
"I was starting to get worried." Mila said as she came out of the kitchen
Echo put the hood down on the jacket and it revealed the collar.
"What happened?" Mila asked
"Eradicators did it." Emily said
"So that means I can't go to school tomorrow." Echo said
"You got that right." Mila said
"You are going to have to stay here tomorrow." William said
"That is ok." Echo said
"Are you sure?" Emily said
"Yes." Echo said
"Well see you tomorrow after school." Emily said
"Ok." Echo said
Emily left and Echo and then ate and went to bed. Echo laided there in her bed.
"Man what am I going to do tomorrow?" Echo asked herself as she rolled over and went to sleep
In the morning Flame getting ready to go to school.
"Bye Flame." Mila said
"Bye mom." Flame said as he ran out the house
"Echo we are leaving." Mila said
There was no answer.
"Echo?" Mila said as she came into her room
Echo was fast asleep and she was drooling.
"Wonder what she is dreaming about?" She asked herself she walked out of the room and started walking out the door. "William come on it is time for work."
"Coming." William said as he followed behind her he closed the door
They both went to work and later on Echo woke up.
"I guess they went to work and school." Echo said
Echo looked through the cabinets for breakfast.
"Let's see what have here." Echo said as she pulled out thing of oatmeal. "Whatever this is I cannot cook."
She put it back into the cabinet and didn't eat anything.
"Man I am so hungry." Echo said to herself
She went in there for lunch and made a sandwich.
"Man it is so slow today." Flame said as he looked at the clock
"Well looking at the clock will not make the day go by faster." Emily said
"I know." Flame said
"Then why do you keep looking at the clock?" Emily asked
"Just bored." Flame said
"Ok." Emily said
Later on they got out of school and they both went home to Flame's house.
"Echo we are here." Flame said as he came in
"You guys need to teach me how to cook." Echo said as she came out off the kitchen with her sandwich
"Why?" Emily asked
"Never learned how to." Echo said as she finished up her sandwich
"Alright let's get cooking." Flame said as he went into the kitchen
They went into the kitchen and started cooking.
"Alright Echo." Flame said as he looked over and she was eating what he was cooking and
Echo looked at him.
"Your not supposed to eat it yet." Flame said
"But I am hungry." Echo said
"You two act like brother and sister." Emily said
"No we don't." Flame said
He looked back and it was all gone.
"Echo!" Flame said. "Never mind."
"You two will make a happy couple." Emily said
"What do you mean "happy couple?"" Echo asked
"Nothing." Flame said
"Oh before I forget can you two come to my birthday even though it is in a few weeks" Emily said
"Alright we will." Flame said
"That's a promise." Echo said
"Alright then I hold your word on it." Emily said she walked out of the house. "Oh before I forget Echo you have to come school at some point without the ring."
"I can't do that." Echo said as she followed her to the doorway
"Why can't you?" Emily asked
"I will put everyone in danger." Echo said
"Echo you must understand you have a mage and a swords man with you and penty of poeple that can help you so everyone will be fine." Emily said as she walked away. "Bye see you tomorrow."
"Bye." Echo said as she went inside
"Well since you ate I have eat something." Flame said as went to go and look for food
"Ok then." Echo said as she walked to her room
Later it was night.
"I wonder if their still up." Mila said
"Don't know." William said as he went in the house
They came in and saw Flame at the table asleep.
"There's one and the other is probably back there." Mila said as she pointed down the hallway to Echo's room
"Well I will carry him to bed then we can go to sleep as well." William said
"Alright." Mila said as she walked away
William took Flame to bed and after that he also went to bed.
They managed to get the collar off when Echo was asleep.
The next day
"The collar's off!" Echo screamed
"Hey I'm going to school." Flame said as he went out the door
"Bye." Mila said
Echo came out of her room.
Later on that day Flame came home.
"I'm back." Flame said
"Look it's off." Echo said as pointed to her neck
"I know I heard you say that is morning." Flame said. "Oh before I forget Emily invited us to a party."
"Really." Mila said
"Let them go." William said
"Fine you two can go." Mila said
"Alright then." Mila said
The next day
"Hey is Echo coming today?" Emily asked
"She can but she doesn't want to and she has the collar off but she still doesn't want to." Flame said
"But school is important." Emily said
"Well you can tell her that when school is out." Flame said
Four hours later.
"Come on school is out we have to get to your house." Emily said
"I'm going I'm going." Flame said
They ran back to the house.
"Hey Flame I forgot to tell you that James is coming to." Emily said as they both went into the house
"Oh ok." Flame said
They got into the house and Flame went to go find Echo.
"Echo were here!" Flame yelled
"He you two." Echo said as she came into the room
"Hey why haven't you been to school?" Emily asked
"I keep feeling a presence and I didn't feel like it." Echo said
"What do you mean?" Flame asked
"Don't know how to describe it." Echo said
