chapter 1: known again

A group of students were outside in a area that looks like a memorial.

"Long ago they said that this statue represented the king but it was said a dragon was always by his side they also say that there were two kingdoms that had a treaty, the king on the other side got killed and the queen of the allied kingdom was poisoned, with no queen or king there to lead either kingdom." The man said.

"So, many lies." A boy said

A girl elbowed him.

"Hush Flame." She said

"I don't see why you like those things Emily." Flame said

"Because they are interesting." Emily said

"More like boring." Flame said

Then, Flame heard something

"I don't want to be alone any more." a voice said

"Hey did you hear something." Flame asked

"What no." Emily said

"Never mind." Flame said

A hour later.

"Time for us to go." A teacher said

All of them got on a bus and went back to school.

"Back to this place." Flame said

"What is wrong with school?" Emily asked

"Nothing it is just boring." Flame said

After school Flame called his mother and said. "Mom I will be a little late."

"What do you me." the mother was cut off before she could finish her sentence

"I want to see if what I heard is true." Flame said as he started walking towards the area.

When he got there he was trying to see where the statue was then he found it and then he sat down.

"Hello? I know you can talk statue." Flame said. "Man this is weird talking to a statue, this was a waste of time."

"Hey there kid why are you out here at this hour?" Someone asked as they came out the darkness

"Nothing it is quite out here." Flame said

"Well, let me introduce myself I am Damien." Damien said. "And what is yours."

"I don't trust you at all "Damien"." Flame said as he started walking off. "I can't trust anyone." He whispered to himself

"Damn I thought I could win him over but this is not going to work to get the prize." Damien thought as he walked away.

Flame stop and looked back and Damien was gone so he went back to the statue.

"Hello." a voice said

"Jesus that voice again." Flame said

Then, the statue turned into a real dragon.

"Is it asleep." Flame said as he poked it. "Yes it is. I wonder how did this happen."

He sat and thought for a minute and said. "I guess I can take it home. But my parents might have a problem with it, oh well."

He picked the dragon and walked home.

"Mom I am back." Flame said

"Hi Flame and why did you hang up on me?" His mom asked as she came in the room. "What is that?"

"It is nothing." Flame said

"Hey William come in here for a minute." his mother said

"What is it Mila." William said as he came in. "Why is there a dragon in our house?"

"Because your son found it." Mila said

"Give the dragon and go and eat you hear." William said

"Ok." Flame said as he turned around and his dad picked up the dragon

Flame was eating and his parents went into a different room talking and his father put the dragon down.

"What are we going to do about this?" he asked

"Don't know we just have to wait and see." she said

They all went to bed and they put the dragon in the living room. The next day they woke up and a girl was there instead of the dragon.

"Wait how did this happen?" Mila asked

"Good question we better move the girl before Flame gets up." William said as he pick the girl up and moved her into their room. Then, Flame came out.

"Hey where did the dragon go?" Flame asked

"Don't worry about it just hurry up and eat then go to school." Mila said

"Ok." Flame said

He went to school and Emily went up to Flame.

"Hey do you know that yesterday someone took the dragon statue." Emily said

"No." Flame said

After school Flame was walking home and Emily came up beside him and asked him something.

"Hey you want to be friends." Emily asked.

"Why?" Flame asked.

"Because it seems that you don't have any friends." Emily said

"That is, my problem not yours." Flame said

"Alright then." Emily said as she walked away.

Flame got home his mother was screaming. "Come back here."

"Mom what is going on?" Flame said as he walked into the room.

"Leave me alone already." The person said

"You have change your clothes because no one wears that anymore." Mila said

Then, the father comes in.

"Dad what is going on?" Flame asked

"You know that dragon you brung in yesterday it changed into a human girl." William said

"What!" Flame yelled. "Then, where is the tail?"

"Why does body feel so heavy?" the girl said as she nealed then passed out

"Mom what happened?" Flame asked

"Well, if you asleep for 100 years what will happen to you body. The body now has to get used to the new atmosphere." Mila said

"But what will happen if they find her here?" Flame asked

"Don't know." Mila said

"We will wait for that answer." William said as he picked her up and brung her into a room and Mila followed after him then William walked out.

The next day (weekend). Flame got up and went out of his room and was trying to find the dragon person in the dark.

"Hello where did you go?" Flame asked

"What do you want from me?" the girl asked

"I don't want anything from you." Flame said as he turned on the light

"I can't trust you because I don't know where I am and I don't even know your name." the girl said

"Oh it is Flame and this is my house." Flame said

"My is Echo." Echo said

"Hi there Echo." Flame said

"Where are your parents?" Echo asked

"At work." Flame said

"When will they be back?" Echo asked

"In the morning around two o'clock." Flame said.

"What time is it?" Echo asked

"I think midnight." Flame said

"So, tell me something how long have I been asleep?" Echo asked

"Well, 100 hundred years I think." Flame said

"Why that long." Echo asked herself.

"What do you mean?" Flame asked

"What happened 100 years ago?" Echo asked

"They say that some women named queen Lunes died along with her knight and the next person in line and a very young person named Akihiko and his queen Ava. Ava was found poisoned and Akihiko was nowhere in sight." Flame said

He looked over and Echo was crying.

"Hey did I say something that I wasn't supposed to?" Flame said as he came over.

"So, they were assassinated." Echo said. "I thought it was a dream."

"What do you mean?" Flame asked

"They were murdered in front of me." Echo said

"What!" Flame said

"The people came in front of where I was laying and killed them in front of me and I couldn't do nothing to stop them." Echo said

"Hey it is ok." Flame said

"But they were my family now my only one left." Echo said

"I know but you." Flame cut off his sentence

"Me what, what about me Flame please answer." Echo said

"It's nothing." Flame said

Later on after that.

"They still didn't find the dragon statue." Emily said as she came up to Flame

"And how does this have to do with me?" Flame asked

"Well, nothing I guess." Emily said

At Flame's house

"I got my tail back." Echo said as she danced around the room. "Wait does that mean I can change in to my other form? Yes I can." as she changed in to her other form.

She went out of the house and changed into her dragon form and followed Flame's scent. When she got to the spot where Flame was and flew into the tree and sat there. Later on school was let out and Echo was in the tree asleep.

"Look I found the dragon statue and it is alive." someone said as they pointed at Echo.

Flame turned around and Echo woke up.

"Oh no why is she here." Flame thought to himself

"Oh no I should've woke up earlier." Echo thought to herself

Echo and Flame just looked at each other.

"Flame the dragon is looking straight at you." Emily said

"Yes I know." Flame said

"I am calling the eradicators." Emily said

"No wait. Hey dragon over here." Flame said

Echo looked at him like what are you doing.

"Come at me." Flame said he waved over at her to come over

"I see what he is doing" Echo said to herself she came off the tree and started going towards Flame

Flame turned around and started running.

"Follow me!" Flame yelled

Echo flew into the sky.

"Run Flame run!" some of the students yelled

They eventually got far away from the school and they both went into a alleyway.

"I am so sorry." Echo said as changed back into her human form

"Why are you sorry about that was the most fun I have had in a while." Flame said as he laughed. "But I see you have a tail now."

"Well, how are you going to get me back to the house without anyone seeing my tail." Echo said as she looked out of the alleyway

"You are right." Flame said. "Here put this around your waist." As he gave her a jacket.

"Here wear this around your waist."

"Ok." Echo said as she wrapped the jacket around her waist.

"Well, let's get going." Flame said he grabbed her hand and ran out of the alleyway.

"Flame you want me to change back to my dragon form and fly back?" Echo asked

"No the eradicators will follow you." Flame said

"But." Echo said

"No just keep running." Flame said

They almost got back to the house and there were people there.

"Who are those people?" Echo asked

"They are part of the eradicators." Flame said

"But why are they at your house?" Echo said

"Good question. But we also have another problem." Flame said

"What is that." Echo said

"I can't get you back in the house so we might have to sneak in." Flame said

Echo listened very closely and she heard what this were saying.

"We'll spread out and find the boy and the dragon." One of them said

"We can't stay here." Echo said as she started walking away

"What do you mean?" Flame said as he started following her

"They are spreading out." Echo said

"Wait you can hear far away to!" Flame said

"Hush we don't want them to hear us and yes I can." Echo said

"So, where are we going?" Flame asked

"Don't know I will figure that out later." Echo said

"Ok." Flame said

Echo stopped walking.

"Echo what is wrong?" Flame asked

"Sir we found the boy and someone else with him." someone said through a ear piece

"What do you mean." Their leader said back to him

Flame grabbed Echo's hand and started running.

"Wait come back." The man said

"Echo change." Flame said

"But." Echo said

"This is a different situation!" Flame yelled

"Ok." Echo said as she kept running and changed into her dragon form then grabbed Flame and flew

"It is the dragon and it has the boy!" someone said

"Shoot the darts at it and try not to hit the boy." the leader said

Then, they started shooting darts at them.

"Flame!" Echo said

"Don't worry I got this." Flame said as he summoned a sword (fireburner) and sliced some of them

"Flame I have been hit with one." Echo said as she started passing out

"Come on Echo just fly a little farther and we can go into the river." Flame said

"I think I will make it." Echo said as she started passing out near the river

She changed back into her human form

"Echo!" Flame said as his sword disappeared and he wrapped his arms around her and fell into the river.

"They fell over there." someone said as they pointed in the direction they fell in

Flame rose up out of the river with Echo he started swimming to the side.

"Echo are you ok." Flame whispered then listened for her heartbeat. "Good she is ok."

Flame got up and put Echo on his back and started walking home.

"She is so much heavier with her tail and wet clothing." Flame said in his mind

Flame got out of the area and then the eradicators came.

"Where is the boy and the dragon?" their leader asked

"Don't know sir." one said

"Damn we need to get the so we can have that man off our backs." their leader said

Flame got home and the eradicators were not there.

"Good they're gone." Flame said as he came up to the door and knocked

"Who is it?" Mila asked

"Mom it's me." Flame said

She opened up the door and motioned him in.

"Flame why are you both soaking wet?" William asked

"We fell in the river." Flame said

"What just get changed before you get sick." Mila said

Then, the father came up and grabbed Echo.

"Ok." Flame said as he went in his room to get changed

"Well, we know where she went but now look." William said

"Yes but I think she is also lonely." Mila said

"Hey mom do you think she will be ok?" Flame asked

"I think so." Mila said

"We'll see tomorrow. Now, go to bed." William said

"Ok." Flame said as he went to bed.

The father took Echo and put her in a room.

"I haven't seen him care about anyone ever since Leo died." Mila said

"I know but that changed." William said

"Well, we better get some sleep as well." Mila said. "But first I need to change Echo's clothes."

Then, there was a knock at the door.

"I will answer." William said as he opened up the door. "Hello."

"Hello again sir." The leader said

"If it is about my son he is ok." William said

"How when I last saw him he was in the air with the dragon. I must speak with him." The leader said as he tried to come in

"I am sorry but he went to sleep." William said

"Ok." he said as he walked away.

William closed the door.

"Who was that?" Mila asked

"The leader of the eradicators." William said

"Ok." she said

"I am going to bed see you in the morning." William said

"Wait when she wakes up we need to keep her out of their reach so let's send her to school." Mila said

"What are you crazy." William said

"No she can't always stay here." Mila said

"Fine but we must find the ring." William said

A few hours later after Flame"s mother changed Echo's clothes

"No not again." Echo screamed as jumped up out of bed

"Echo what is wrong." Flame said as he ran into the room

"They keep dying in front of me over and again." Echo as she started crying

"It is ok." Flame said as he hugged her.

They both went to sleep in their rooms. Later on.

"Come on you two get up." Mila said in the hallway

"Yes." Echo said as she got up

"You all have to eat breakfast." Flame's mother said

Then Flame woke up.

"What time is it?" Flame asked

"7 o'clock." Mila said

"Oh shit I will be late to school." Flame said

"I was trying to get you up." Mila said. "And one other thing Echo will start going to school with you."

"What! Never mind I am going." Flame said

"Bye." Mila said

Flame went out and went school.

"What did you mean by go to school?" Echo asked

"You will be going with Flame at his school." Mila said. "And put this on your tail." She also said as she gave her the ring.

At school.

"Flame guess what we are get a new student today." Emily said

"We are and who is that?" Flame sarcastically

"Don't know yet." Emily said

"Ok." Flame said

"Alright Echo have you ever been to school?" Mila asked as she was driving.

"Not to school but I was taught by Leaf." Echo said as she started fiddling with a necklace that she got from Alexander (her brother)

"Ok well we are here." Mila said

"Man this is school." Echo said as she looked.

"Come on let's go in." Mila said as she got out of the car

"Ok." Echo said as she also got out

They went inside the school.

"So, is this the new student?" the principal asked

"Yes she is her name is Echo." Mila said

"Alright Echo come with me so I can take you to class." the principal said

"Ok." Echo said as she followed him.

"I hope she will be ok." Mila said

"Don't worry about her we will keep a close eye on her and thank you about telling us about her situation." another person said as they came in.

"Thank you for allowing her to be here." Mila said

"They can't touch her here." The women said

"Well, I need to get going." she said

"Have a nice day." The women said

Flame's mother went out and got into the car. The principle took Echo to class.

"This is your class." the principle said

"Ok." Echo said

He opened up the door and came in.

"This is your new student." the principle said was he waved Echo in.

Echo came in there.

"Hi my name is Echo." Echo said

"Alright Echo go sit over there." The teacher said as she pointed to the seat next to Flame.

Echo went up to the seat and sat down. Later on.

"Hi there Echo my name is Emily." Emily said

"Hi Emily." Echo said

"Come with me." Emily said as she pulled her arm.

They were walking past a corner and there was someone bullying another kid.

"Give me your money." he said

"But this is for my lunch." the kid said

Echo stopped.

"Come on Echo leave him this happens all the time here." Emily said

"No." Echo said as she started heading down the corner. "Hey leave him alone."

"Who are you to tell me what to do." the bully said

Echo ran up and got between them.

"The new kid is fighting the bully." someone shouted.

"Echo what are you doing." Flame said in his mind as he went out of the classroom

"I give. I give" the bully said

"Alright then promise me you will never bully anyone ever again." Echo said as she was on top of him

"Alright." The bully said

"Good." Echo said as she got off of him.

"Everyone run teacher is coming." A student said

Everyone ran from the corner everyone but Echo. Flame came over and grabbed Echo's hand and started running.

"Alright Echo don't you ever do that again." Flame said as he stopped running and let go of Echo's hand.

"But I couldn't just sit there and watch I have done that to much already." Echo whispered

"What do you mean?" Flame whispered

"I can't tell you here." Echo whispered

"Ok." Flame said. "Follow me we will get lunch then after that follow me because I what to show you something."

"Ok I will do that." Echo said

They both started walking to lunch then when they grabbed lunch and Echo followed Flame and they went up to a rooftop.

"What is it you want to show me?" Echo asked

"Yes only a few people know about this place." Flame said

"Give me a minute." Echo said as she went to the side of entrance and sat down next to it

"What are you doing?" Flame asked

"Taking this thing off." Echo said as she took the ring off her tail.

"So, is it what my parents gave to you." Flame said

"Yes." She said. "At least I can move my tail again."

"Well, we better eat our lunch so we can get back to class." Flame said

"Right." Echo said as she was eating

"Echo slow down you are going to choke." Flame said

"I will be ok." Echo said

"Well, we need to go back to class before the mob forms." Flame said

"Ok." Echo said as she put the ring back on her tail. "Hey Flame do you think they will find about my problem?"

"I don't think so." Flame said

"But what about the eradicators." Echo said

"They can't touch you here." Flame said

"Maybe." Echo said

They got rid of their trash and went back to class and sat down before the bell rang. Then, a few minutes later the bell rang.

"Man how you two already here." Someone said

"We have our ways." Flame said

"All right everyone sit down." the teacher said

Later on school let out and Flame, Echo started going one way and Emily went the other way.

"See you tomorrow." Emily said

"Bye." Echo said

"Come on Echo." Flame said

"Coming." Echo said as she started following him

They got back home.

"So, how was school Echo?" Mila asked

"It was ok." Echo said as she took off the ring on her tail

"Well, go and get you some food." Mila said

"Ok." Echo said as she went into the kitchen. "Look cookies."

Flame's mother grabbed hold of him and whispered something into his ear.

"Ok I will." Flame said

"Hey Flame you better come get some before Echo eats all of these cookies." William said as he pointed to Echo,

"Coming." Flame said as he came over and grabbed a cookie

Echo started eating the cookies and held one in the air.

"Echo stop eating all the cookies!" Flame yelled as he tried to get it

"But I didn't have cookies back then and these taste so good." Echo said as she gave Flame the cookie. "I wish my friends could be here to have some."

"Ok I am going to work." William said as he went out the front door.

"Bye." Mila said

"Alright you two I have go to work the eradicators might come today so Echo stay hidden and Flame stay with Echo." Mila said. "And you might want to put the ring back on, there is food in the refrigerator." (the time is at that point is 3:30pm they come home at 2:00am)

"Ok we will do that." Flame said

"Bye." Echo said

Mila went out the door.

"Let's see what is in the refrigerator." Flame said

"What is in there?" Echo asked

"Left overs from three days ago! Man people learn how to throw old food out." Flame said. "Come with me we are going to the store."

"Ok." Echo said as she put the ring on

They went out of the house and started walking to the store when they got to the store.

"That would be ten dollars." the women behind the counter said

"Ok." Flame said as he gave her ten dollars

"Have nice day." the women said

"You to." Flame said

"Hey Flame do you think that they will kill you and your family just to get me?" Echo asked

"I don't think so." Flame said

They walked home and the eradicators were there in their house and Flame and Echo went to the side of a house.

"Flame what will we do?" Echo asked

"You stay here with food and I will be back." Flame said

"But." Echo said

"Please just for now." Flame said

"I will but if you need me you call for me." Echo said then she said something under her breath. "Or if you are in danger."

"Hey what are you doing in my house?" Flame said as he walked out

"We were wondering if you have been taken by the dragon so we thought it would be wise to come on in and search." The leader said

"But I am here now." Flame said

"Ok." The leader said.

"Can you please leave." Flame said

Then someone used magic (quick run) and came up behind Flame.

"What the." Flame said

"I am sorry but we need to question you." The leader said

Echo changed into her dragon form and ran out and dropped the food.

"Look it is the dragon!" one of his men yelled

"What!" The leader said as he turned around

Echo ran and managed to get behind the man that had Flame.

"Shit." the man said as he let go of Flame and jumped back out of the way.

"I told you to stay put." Flame whispered

"I couldn't just sit there." Echo said back she grabbed Flame and flew in to the air

"Echo where are we going?" Flame asked

"We are going to Emily's house." Echo said

"But." Flame said

"That is the only place we can go to for now." Echo said

They made it to Emily's house.

"Damn this house is huge." Echo said

"Echo put the ring back on." Flame said

"No I want her to know now." Echo said still in her dragon form

"Suit yourself." Flame said

Flame knocked on the door.

"Coming." Emily said as she opened the door. "Flame and omg the dragon."

"Yes Flame said

Emily came up to Echo and started rubbing her cheeks.

"It is the real thing." Emily said. "Come in" after that.

They both went in.

"I have a question where is Echo?" Emily asked

"Right here." Flame said as he pointed to Echo

"What do you mean." Emily said as she started rubbing her cheeks again

"Ok first move your hands." Flame said

"Ok." she said as she moved her hands off of Echo.

Echo moved back and changed into her human form and was sitting on the floor.

"Hi Emily." Echo said as she got up

"Wait you are the dragon." Emily said

"Yes I am." Echo said

"So awesome why didn't you tell everybody at school." Emily said

"We can't the eradicators." Flame said

"Right I forgot about them." Emily said

"We have to eat still." Echo said

"That is right." Flame said

"Come with me we have plenty of food." Emily said

They went into the kitchen and got some food. After that.

"So now what would we do." Echo asked

"We have to wait til my parents come home." Flame said

"And when is that?" Emily asked

"Two in the morning." Flame said

"Ok then I guess you can stay here." Emily said

"Thank you." Echo said

"Alright Echo you can come and sleep with me and Flame can sleep on the couch." Emily said

"Ok seems like a plan." Echo said

"Well see you in the morning." Flame said as went to the couch.

"Come on Echo." Emily said as she grabbed her hand

Later on the lights were out. In Flames dream.

"Come on Flame you can run faster than that." Someone said

"Wait up Leo." Flame yelled

"Man you are slow." Leo said

"Shut up." Flame said as he punched him in the arm.

"Come on our parents are waiting." Leo said

"Ok I am going ahead." Flame said as he started running in front.

"Alright." Leo said

Then a car came up behind Leo and Flame wasn't looking.

"Bye Flame." Leo whispered but Flame wasn't looking

"Flame! Flame get up!" Echo yelled

"Yes." Flame said as he started waking up.

"Come on it is time to eat." Echo said

"I will be in there soon." Flame said. "Wait what time is it?"

"Seven O'clock." Emily said

"What let me use your phone." Flame said as he got up and went for the phone

"Echo he has bed hair." Emily whispered

"I know." Echo whispered back.

"Hey mom." Flame said. "Yes we are ok good bye." as he put the hanged up the phone "My mom that we can stay here so they won't find us."

"Well that is ok." Emily said. "But I don't know when my brother will be back. So we better hurry up and eat then get out of here."

Flame looked over at Echo and she was already done.

"What did you do inhale it." Flame said

"Yes." Echo said

"Well just eat so we can go." Emily said

They ate their food.

"Alright everyone ready to go?" Flame asked

"Yes." Echo said as she put the ring on her tail. "Alright ready to go."

"Here we go." Flame said

They went out of they house and started walking to Flame's house.

"So what are we going to do if any one else finds out?" Echo asked

"We will handle that." Flame said

"So we better go back to your house so we can get out of the clear." Emily said

"Alright so we better get walking." Echo said

They got back to Flame's house they went in.

"Hey mom I am back." Flame said

"Dang they sure made a mess here." Emily said

"Welcome back." Mila said

"Hey Flame come help in here." William said

"Coming dad." Flame said as he left the room

"Hey there what is you name?" Mila asked as she looked at Emily

"My name is Emily." Emily said

"Mila." Mila said. "Well you want to help me clean up this mess."

"Sure." They both said as they started helping her clean up

Later on when they got done and it was night Flame and William went and get dinner.

"Emily you should head home." Mila said

"It's fine they don't come home that much so I can stay here for a little longer." Emily said

"Alright if you say so." Mila said

"Hey we are back." William said

"I see you guys are done." Flame said

"Sure am." Echo said

"So I guess that we are friends now?" Emily asked

"Yes I guess." Flame said

"Well thank you." Emily said

"Well you are the second friend I have in this time." Echo said

"Well that is good Echo you are getting somewhere." Mila said. "Now we better eat before it gets cold."

"Ok." Echo said

Flame grabbed Emily's arm and pulled her to the side.

"Echo is doing better than when she first woke up." Flame whisphered

"What do you mean?" Emily asked

"Why she had no one they were either murdered or disappeared." Flame said

"So you mean king Akihiko, princess Lunes and her knight Liam." Emily said. "Am I correct."

"Yes." Flame said

"That is enough said come on we have to go eat." Emily said as she started walking away

"Wait let's try to keep her like this." Flame said

"Ok we will both try are hardest Flame." Emily said

"Right." Flame said as he started walking away as well

"There you two are if you didn't any sooner we would've given all your food to Echo." Mila said

"Sorry." Flame said

"Well come on and eat." William said

After they ate Emily went home.

"Come on you two go to bed you have school." Mila said

Emily got home.

"Emily where were you?" Someone said

"With a friend." Emily said

"Well I will get the dragon." the person said

"Brother what why do you have to get the dragon it hasn't hurt anyone yet." Emily said

"Don't care we have to get it under control." Her brother said

"Marcus please don't do it." Emily said

"It is to protect the city." Marcus said

"But it hasn't done anything yet." Emily said

"Stop with this argument." Marcus said as he walked away

"I must warn Echo just to be safe." Emily said to herself.

The next day they all went to school Flame, Echo and Emily all meet up. (Echo was wearing the ring)

"Hey we should start being real careful now." Emily said

"Why?" Echo asked

"My brother has been working with the eradicators for a while now and he won't stop until he gets you and turns you in." Emily said

"We will stop him from getting me." Echo said

"You got that right." Flame said

"Well we better get to class." Emily said

"Well will be late in five minutes." Echo said

"Then we better get running." Flame said as he ran ahead

"Wait up." Echo said as she chased after him.

They made it to class before the bell rang.

"Alright everyone take a seat." The teacher said

"That was close." Flame said

"Sure was." Echo said

Later on it was lunch.

"We are going to the roof want to come to." Echo asked Emily

"Sure why not." Emily said as she followed Echo

They went up to the roof and went to the corner where Flame was.

"Why are we up here?" Emily asked

"So I can take the ring off and so we can talk." Echo said

"Ok and also eat our lunch." Emily said

"We need to talk about your brother." Flame said

"About him being with the eradicators." Echo said

"Ok what do you want to know." Emily said

"First off why?" Echo asked

"He never told me. I guess because of my parents." Emily said

"What about your parents?" Echo asked

"They left me and my brother when I was only seven." Emily said

"So it is just you and your brother in a big house." Flame said

"Basically." Emily said

"But what does that have to do with me?" Echo asked

"They might've tricked my brother to get get you." Emily said

"But why?" Flame asked

"We will finish this conversation later we better get to class." Emily said as she started walking away.

"She is right." Flame said as followed

"Alright we can talk as we walk home." Echo said

"Sounds like a plan." Flame said

They went to class and sat down. The lunch bell rang to dismiss.

"Alright ready for the rest of the day." Echo said

"Yes now let's hurry up get this done." Flame said

At the end of school they were walking home.

"So that is the target but it is with my sister." Marcus said to a ear piece

"It might be using her as insurance." the person said

"It also has a boy with it as well." Marcus said to himself

"Race you guys home." Echo said as she started running ahead.

"Wait Echo come back." Flame said as he chased her

"Might as well run after them to." Emily said as she ran behind

Marcus looked at Echo as she was running.

"Looks like a small child trapped inside that body." he said to himself. "Let's put it out of its misery."

Echo stopped running and looked where Marcus was and he was on top of a building

"Quick reflexes dragon it didn't take you long to find me." Marcus said as he jumped down

Flame followed Echo shortly behind then Emily.

"Brother what are you doing?" Emily asked

"Getting rid of this thing." Marcus said as he pointed to Echo

"What has she done to you?" Flame asked

"None of your business." Marcus said

Then some people came out of the darkness.

"Buy the way we have a present for you." Marcus said as a calar looking thing came at Echo and was on her neck.

"What is this." Echo said as she touched it

The people came up behind Flame and Emily and grabbed their arms

"Hey let them go." Echo said as she turned around.

"And why should I do that?" Marcus said

"Because they have nothing to do with this." Echo said

Then the callor started shocking Echo. She started screaming in pain.

"Echo!" Flame yelled

"Let us go." Emily said as she tried to get free

"Our job is done here." Marcus said

Flame's sword came out. Then people that was holding him let go and jumped back.

"You will not take Echo with you." Flame said as he started running up to Echo and he pointed his sword at him

"Flame get Echo and run." Emily said

"Right." Flame said as he picked up Echo and started running

Then two of the people chased after Flame

"Why are you helping that thing?" Marcus asked

"That thing happens to be my friend." Emily said
