chapter 29

I woke up in the morning left i usually wear Emily's clothes when we have sleepovers but they don't fit anymore so I went home to change and went to school after having my clothes Luca sent me a text that i don't have to go today it's Friday that if tomorrow I don't have classes I can work the whole day I typed yes sent him and went home I fall s sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow I woke up when mom got home the doctor approved her that she can go back to work she will have a test check up in three months to see if she is safe again she is been trying to find a job since then

"Wake up " mom woke me up I went to the kitchen since I was hungry I didn't have lunch after having some food I lay on the couch scrolling through instagram until it was seven I wear something warm

Say bye to my mom telling her that I might be spending the night out kiss her cheeks and left I took a tax and go to James's apartment I didn't knock I already have the key I enter and i could hear some people laughing in the kitchen I remove my cot put my bag on the couch and walk to the kitchen

To my surprise Juliet is here with James they are cooking together Juliet is cutting some garlic and James is standing behind her holding her hands showing her how to use a small spoon while splashing garlic they didn't hear me coming in so they laughed I stand there not moving until James raise his head and his eyes met with mine

"baby you are here " James say taking a step back from Juliet who is looking at me also

" sorry I didn't mean to interrupt " I apologize

" no you didn't interrupt anything we were just cooking " Juliet say I shrug my shoulders and turn around James followed me " baby hey hey wait " he catch up with me turning me to face him

" when were you going to tell me that you guys have dinner twice a week she visits you at the office that you now tell her everything in fact that you are buddies now" i accused him he just stare at me

" and don't tell me i didn't walk on something right now call me crazy but I know what i saw" I tell him Juliet comes from the kitchen wearing a jacket now " am going to go home " she say when she gets to us

" no you don't have too am leaving " I take my things but James hold my arm " you are not leaving until we talk " he is angry now I can see it from his eyes when he gets angry his eyes turn dark

" we got nothing to talk about let me go " i try to remove my arm from his hold but he was holding tight not to hurt me but enough that I can't move

" Juliet we will talk tomorrow please have a good night " James tell Juliet holding me still not to move

" of course have a good night and am sorry I didn't mean to cause any trouble " she apologize to me and she left I hear the door being closed that's when James let me free

"Where did you get that from " he ask me running his hands through his hair " Leila I asked you to trust me "

" yeah and when I was trying to be understanding here you are getting close to her I should trust you when you don't even tell me anything huh.." I shout at him i didn't mean to raise my voice but am too angry to care

" it was just a dinner it's not like we are doing anything wrong we had to convince her father and other people on the board that we are getting close " he say trying not to yell

" that's what you tell yourself until it's too late are you even really trying to fool others or you are just fooling yourself why don't you fuck her am sure that will be more convincing "

" and with the way that you are behaving maybe I should put that into consideration am sure she would love what my mouth would do to her body "

" oh James don't let me stop you if you haven't even already did that go and get her pregnant with twins also and maybe after you will leave her for another warm body "

I don't know what come over me if it's the anger or the pregnancy hormones i knew what i did when a slap echoed in the house and James touched her right cheek proved right that I just slapped him I feel tears rolling down my face

" James …" I try to say something but he hold his hand for me to stop

" go home Leila am going to call my driver he will drive you home and I need some rest " he gives me some car keys which he gets from the table take his phone call his driver who confirms that he was in the neighborhood he will be here in less than ten minutes

James walk to the door open it for me to go i shamefully walk out when I got out I turn to face home my face is wet from all the tears

" next time try to understand a person before yo jump to conclusions he didn't even let me answer he close the door i walk downstairs and the driver took me home crying all the way
