Sights Of Liyue

Noctis

The morning sun glared through the window and brushed me with its warmth causing me to open my eyes.

I looked around to see the familiar Inn bedroom which I had been staying at for a week now. It wasn't amazingly luxurious or anything but it was a nice break from the Fatui headquarters.

It's been a whole week since I arrived in Liyue and I've enjoyed it thoroughly.

I've gotten used to the layout of Liyue since Childe gave me the tour. This city is honestly beautiful.

I have one week left on my Liyue vacation. Its been a while since me and Childe did anything major so I wonder what he is planning for us to do next. Hopefully something that doesn't involve Hu Tao, no offense to her she and Childe are just exhausting to be around.

I sat up and stood out of bed. Before doing anything I had a nice big stretch to wake up my body. However, sleep was too powerful and I still groggily walked towards my mirror while yawning and rubbing my eyes to remove any sleep.

I looked into the mirror and observed my snow white hair, it was a mess. I picked up a brush which was on a small table nearby the mirror and begun to gently brush through all the knots in my hair.

After about 10 minutes I had finally gotten all the knots out. Long hair is such a pain, yet I still haven't cut it. I ran my hand through my hair and just admired the length to which it had grown, down to the middle of my back.

As usual interrupting my morning routine was a loud knock on the door... I wonder who It could be?

I slowly walked to the door so that whoever may be at the door would have to be slightly more patient. Eventually I got to the door and opened it to reveal a familiar face.

"Oh how I wish you didn't bang my door down everyday"

"Huh?"

"Never mind, so do you have anything planned for us today?" I asked genuinely curiously because about 3 days ago he said that he's planning something important? Or something like that.

"Uhm yep it's all planned out, but you might want to change out of those pyjamas and put on some more formal ones."

"Since when did you care about formalities others than with the Tsaritsa." He just nervously chuckled in response... what has this idiot got in store for me today...

"Wait here.." I said as I slammed the door on him.

I went over to my wardrobe and looked at the selection of clothes I had brought over from Sneznayah.

"Most of this is informal... This was supposed to be a vacation why would I bring formal clothes" I spoke to my self as I continued looking for something to where.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a suit jacket with white cuffs which I had left unbuttoned to reveal a nice white waist coat with two golden buttons. Underneath it was a plain white shirt. I also wore a black tie with black slacks. On the breast pocket of the suit jacket I had a small trinket.

(A/N) Something like this but with purple eyes

"I hope this outfit is okay."

I walked back over to the door and opened it. Childe was waiting there and it seemed he was going to say something but stopped himself, leaving his jaw slacked.

"What..?" I asked him as he was still just staring at me, it's kinda creepy.

"This is what you like look when you're not in your casual clothes!?" he screamed in shock as he continued to admire my outfit.

"Ugh, you're so annoying! And don't ever disrespect my comfy clothes!" I said as I looked down on him, resisting the urge to punch him. He would just enjoy it... Stupid battle maniac.

"Jeez sorry." He said sarcastically and non-seriously. Il let him slide for now... he's lucky I'm still tired.

"So, what's this important thing you have prepared?"

"we are going to the jade chamber!" he exclaimed in excitement, stars in his eyes and he held my by the shoulders.

"freak." I muttered to myself but made sure he could hear it.

"you can thank me later"

"Why would I thank you?"

"uh? Maybe because I was able to get us permission to go to the jade chamber?" he remarked sarcastically. "Plus you love the aesthetics of Lyiue and you can see it all from the jade chamber!" He exclaimed still full of childish excitement.

"True, but one question. How did you manage to get us permission to go into the jade chamber?" he literally nearly caused the destruction of Liyue and he still got permission? I don't buy it...

"Uhm... Well actually I ran into Ganyu and apparently Lady Ningguang wants to speak to me..." He said his prior excitement slowly changing into dread.

Oh he's gonna die. Lady Ningguang will tear him to bits because of what he made her do to her precious jade chamber.

"Well, good luck to you"

"Please save me..."

"So, when are we going?" before answering me he released a sigh, probably trying to calm himself down, poor guy. But I couldn't care less.

"In about an hour..." he responded already sounding exhausted.

After enjoying a nice breakfast me and Childe had Finally arrived at The Jade Chamber, I suppose Childe was right I should've thanked him. I haven't even seen the view of the city but I'm already encapsulated by the beauty of the chamber its self.

The Jade Chamber, it floats just like Celestia but this was built by humans and not Gods, personally I believe that makes it even more impressive.

Looking at The Jade Chamber also reminds me of just how rich Lady Ningguang truly is. Childe looks broke in comparison.

I cannot believe she threw one of these away into the ocean just to put Osial in his place. Such a waste.

"If you would just follow me please, Lady Ningguang will you see both now" One of the servants spoke up and brought my attention back towards the people around me.

"Of course, Come on then, Childe" I said as I looked towards him smiling evilly.

"Uh-huh" he let out nervously. Ningguang is going to skin him alive.

"No need to be so nervous. Lady Ningguang does not bite" the servant said as she continued walking towards an area of the chamber which I assume is used to talk with guests.

The servant knocked on the door and spoke a few words with who ever was on the other side, a few moments later she was gesturing us into the room with a light smile.

"Lady Ningguang is ready now" she said, I nodded and walked past her into the room, Childe followed behind albeit hesitantly.

Once I was in the room I saw a lady with white hair longer than mine half of it was tied into a bun and held with an expensive looking hairpin while the rest was free to flow into two divided sections. She had crimson red eyes and was wearing a white qipao dress that was decorated with fur around the collar. The dress had golden patterns and bindings, and black lacing along the edge of her dress and a noticeable Geo Vision on the left midriff. Finally, in her hand was an expensive smoking pipe.

I knew she was rich but still, how could a person be so elegant, so effortlessly. Her morning routine must be a pain.

"So you're the two harbingers who have been here on 'Vacation?'" she spoke with a serious expression putting emphasis on the word vacation as if not fully believing it. Well, Fair enough, the last harbinger that was here could've ended up destroying the whole city.

"Yes that's us, and truly we are just here for vacation" I spoke drawing her attention away from Childe, who she was death glaring.

Now along as Childe doesn't piss her off.

"Hehe sorry for releasing a ancient God last time I was here" this absolute idiot...

For a while Lady Ningguang stayed silent staring at Childe with a calculative gaze. Then to my surprise she brought he gaze towards me.

"I hold no resent towards this child, it is a shame I had to sacrifice my jade chamber but thanks to him Liyue was able to prove to the Adepti that we are capable of independence." She spoke while keeping her gaze away from Childe, I don't believe her when she says she has no resentment but hey I'm thankful she is trying to forgive and forget.

"we thank you for your forgiveness, Lady Ningguang" I bowed and gestured for Childe to do the same but we were stopped by Lady Ningguang.

"So, What brings you to the jade chamber specifically?" seems she still doesn't believe we are on vacation.

"Well, I asked Ganyu if we could come here because I thought Noctis would want to see the sights of Liyue from up here." Ningguang looked towards Childe and held a gaze full of limitless confusion.

"He may normally be idiotic but I assure you Lady Ningguang that it's the truth." She looked towards me her confusion starting to fade.

"Oh? I see. So, may I ask what roots the vacation of two harbingers?"

"Of course, I have a mission with a harbinger that I cannot stand. I need a get away before my mission" Ningguang chuckled lightly in response.

"Well, I suppose you're human its normal to find people you dislike especially at a workplace when stress can peak or nadir at anytime." She spoke calmly and then blew some smoke from her pipe.

"Truly." I responded simply.

"I am grateful you decided on Liyue for your vacation." She said with a light smile.

"you can thank Childe for that he propose I take a vacation here."

"Of course I did the time I spent in Liyue was amazing and I met many people such as Mr. Zhongli and The Traveller." Childe spoke with an excited tone.

"Well, I'm glad you found or nation comfortable." Lady Ningguang responded calmy but with a small smile. It's most likely a smile of pride...

"I have to agree Liyue is beautiful and I can't wait to see the view from up here." Lady Ningguang nodded lightly.

"Well, it's best I let you two get on with that, plus I have lots of work to do." Lady Ningguang said gently alerting of us the time.

"Ah of course Lady Ningguang, it was nice talking to you."

"Thank you Lady Ningguang, Goodbye Lady Ningguang" Childe spoke while waving as we left the room.

"Wow! I thought I was gonna get killed!" Childe exclaimed once we were far enough from the room.

"You're lucky she was in a good mood." I said while smiling.

"Ye you're right she is forgiving."

"I wouldn't say she is forgiving I would see she just wanted to keep a formal image in front of guests, she was clearly holding back from punching you." I said jokingly

"Huh? I wonder how strong Lady Ningguang is? Do you think she will fight me!?"

"It's been a good day today Childe don't ruin it..." I said I walked out of the main door to the jade chamber.

"Dark already?" Childe said a bit shocked at how long it had already been.

Taking a deep breath of the cold but falling air I looked towards the sky admiring the many stars, some danced around in the sky while others flickered with life. I looked towards the moon which was illuminating the sky with a calming energy, the moon was full and even had a blue glow to it, a truly rare and encapsulating sight that couldn't always been seen.

Silently I walked towards the edge of the jade chamber and looked down on the many city lights like a group of fireflies, the many lights had been given a bluish tint from the moon. The water near the harbour was still and glistened like crystals.

"I told you the sights from up here would be amazing!"

"that you did Childe, and you couldn't have been more right." I said while continuing to admire the city finding it difficult to take my gaze off of it.

I could sit here for thousands of years and the view would never get old.

Humanity truly is beautiful.

(A/N) This is most likely the end of this little Liyue section. The next chapter might take a while to release, but i will try hurry along with the progress
