Synopsis

Transported into another world, professional shut-in, Ren Nakamura, expects a path of ludicrous powers, fame, and glory; the classic tale of an otherworld hero saving a doomed world from the conquest of a tyrannical, almighty demon king. --What he receives instead, is a harsh reality check. Betrayed, beaten, and humiliated, he quickly learns the true nature of this world: it doesn’t cater to him in the slightest. Inept, gullible, and unsociable, he must cultivate himself into a proper person, if he hopes to survive in the ravenous world of Gaia. In a twisted, yet fantastical world of magic, knights, and dragons that persecutes otherworlders, Ren must overcome his “level zero” start and cultivate himself into someone capable of fighting off the obstacles of Gaia. The otherworlder-hunting Argonauts, the world-loathing cultists, and even the very aspects of sin themselves; these are just the tip of the iceberg on the troubles that await him on his journey. But it’s a harsh, cruel world filled with misery and darkness; he can’t do it alone. Friends are made, friends are lost--that is the nature of the path he must walk. This is not the story of a blessed, perfect hero, but of a flawed, young man who has to shed his weaknesses. Together, witness his journey into becoming not just a proper hero, but a proper human. — DISCORD: https://discord.gg/ph6qfFknqe -- If you want to support the author: https://ko-fi.com/delzgb https://paypal.me/delzgb --- Cover done by Izu

Chapter 1Prologue

The smell hit his nostrils instantly, scrunching his nose as his face contorted from the ungodly stench that filled the air. Before he could cover his smell-discerning organ to block the invasive scent, his body responded by gagging--losing control over his bodily functions as all he could do was continue to cough and gag at the horrid stench. Tears fled from his eyes as the rotten aroma continued to infiltrate his nose, finding himself only able to throw up spats of vile liquid from his nearly empty stomach.

"What the hell...is that?" He asked himself, wiping the bile from his lips as he began to walk through the empty courtyard.

The opulent walls were now painted with blood, silver blades protruding from both the walls and floors as chunks of flesh were attached to the tools of violence. The sight immediately caused him to hurl once more, matching the smell to the source. A place he had just accepted as his home, a place of nobility and history, was overturned into a nightmarish mindscape.

Halls that were once the embodiment of grandeur now were presented as a battlefield, layered with blood, guts, and steel. Soon, his mind ignored the stench as his senses were overwritten with horror, slowly making his way through the hellish halls.

"Mila...Meinhard, you're alive, aren't you…?"

The Author's POV

The person whom the world revolves around. The person who defeats all of his opponents, and ultimately gets the beautiful girl. The sole existence all villains fear. That is the protagonist. What about me? As a failed author who had only one success throughout his whole career, I had reincarnated into my late novel. "This is it" I thought, as I tightly clenched my fist. Did I just get reincarnated in my own novel? Is this where I reincarnate in a novel and become the protagonist? No. Sadly it's not that kind of novel, as I reincarnated as a mob. The world doesn't revolve around me. The girls don't come flocking towards me. The cheat items don't come to me. "Phew" I let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god I'm not the protagonist" I joyfully shouted as tears streamed down my cheeks. Wait, are you curious as to why I don't want to be the protagonist? I did forget to mention the most important thing when I was describing a protagonist. That is... They are calamity magnets. I just died. If I learned something from that, it's that it really isn't a pleasant experience. If possible let me live a long stable life. Thank you, whoever reincarnated me. I would later come to regret these words... ======== Reader Disclaimer : Please read the *Read before reading novel* in synopsis. ======== Credit to _oinkchan for helping me find the previous novel cover Credit to Rengoku for his amazing edit of the new cover. ======== Discord : https://discord.gg/FNAKgfyky4 Patreon : https://www.patreon.com/TheAuthorPOV

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep.

Misunderstood Villain: Heroines Mourn My Death

{Author Of Old-World Extra} "All untainted paths lead to the one truth." — There was nothing special about my life... except for how I died. I went out in the dumbest, most ridiculous way possible; even a dog’s death would’ve made for a better sight. But hey, that wasn’t even the weird part. Not by a long shot. For whatever reason, my soul had gotten ripped out and shoved into the body of some "Villain" in a faraway land. Yep, you heard that right. A clichéd "Villain." And I’ve got ten days before he’s publicly executed. This guy—well, I—used to be a Beggar. One that grew into a Magi, then a Seeker, then a Professor, and then... A Sultan. The one ruler of the entire world. Now? I’m stuck facing the people I used to love, ready to pay for all the “evil” I’ve done. Fate seemed Hellbent on ending me no matter where I went, but just as I was about to give up... A Script appeared before my mind’s eye. {Would you like to witness your real history, your Path?} {Would you like to make it past your Promised Day?} {Would you like to become a True King?} {If so, repeat after me…} It gave me one word—ancient, powerful, and clear. “BASSORĀH!” Many paths came together. Then, a projection appeared and it began to display... my memories? — This is a story about suffering. Anger. And forgiveness. {Volume One, Remember Me: Complete} {Volume Two, For Whom The Bell Tolls: Complete} {Volume Three, When the Sparrow Falls: Complete} {Volume Four, I Saw A Dream: Ongoing} Extra Tags: Drama, Reaction, Misunderstanding, Transmigration. Hmm, This novel wonderful, but it doesn't suit my taste, but it is great that i would put it in my list of favorite novels. But what I like in your novel the most, was when the argonaut raided the althaus state or mansion, I love on how you put details that made me imagine on what really happened, but sadly it was too fast, I didn't get to enjoy or to see the suffering of the servants in the mansion, but althaus gets the worst fate so much suffering and such traumatizing event have happened to his servants, such a scary experience but I want to see more.. but it would a false hope to hope that you will add more of it in the arc, but hopefully I would get to read more of it in the future, hopefully... And yes your side characters/characters, such a splended work they have such a wonderful personalities, I like them hope I could meet some crazy characters, I could put some of my reviews on the characters but they're quite many so I'll pick only ren to review on. ren is such a lame character I hate him and i love him, his such a well done Character that made me hate him, his naive a fool and a trustful person and a lustful person an awkward Character that made it hard for me to read his interactions with other characters, but his a great character that can be easily manipulated and easily changeable, that he put so much trust on a girl that summoned him that easily betrayed him, his such a fool that I like him, the girls action made him distrustful of other people, hence his such a changeable and easily manipulated, his such a fool that he trusted a girl that summoned him into this otherworld, and I don't want to spoil other readers so I'll stop here, but I get it that his a manipulatable person it happened alot in the real world, so his a nice character his such a normal person I like him. The story so far is great but the development of the story is fast it made me bored of reading it cause things happened fast, but for other readers the story has a normal a phase of development, but for me it's fast, but I saw nothing wrong in the story so far. For the the writing quality I don't know, I've never seen some wrong spellings or typos, English is not my first language after all, and the updates of chapters is fast I like it. I'll end my review here I can write more but I think this is enough.
