Testing Fate

Percy was interrupted as the doors to the throne room burst open. Everyone turned to look at the newcomer. A man in what looked like a bad 80's biker outfit stomped into the room and raised a hand to hit Percy.

"Ares?!" Several gods exclaimed.

"I thought you had been sent to the pit!" Wailed Aphrodite as she leapt from her throne and jumped into Ares' arms. Her legs wrapping around his waist as she began to try to eat his face. Hephaestus grumbled in annoyance as the other Olympians began to whisper to one another.

"You're starting to get a twitch in your left eye Blake."

I looked over to Selene who had an amused smirk on her face. I let out an exasperated breath, I had two options laying in front of me. One, let the two Olympians continue to suck each others faces or two, put my foot down. I chose option two.

Standing up before anyone could stop me I walked over to the two preoccupied gods who were too busy trying to suck each other's souls out to notice the twenty foot figure walking towards them. I raised a booted foot up and squashed the two into the ground hard enough to crack the marble floor. To emphasize my point I ground my heel as if killing a particularly large cockroach before walking back to my throne to take a seat. The Olympians looked at me with open mouth shock. Aphrodite and Ares were  twitching a mess of limbs in the crater that was my boot print.

"NO FURTHER INTERRUPTIONS! AM I FUCKING UNDERSTOOD."

The remaining Olympians nodded frantically, Hephaestus had a malicious grin on his face as he watched his wife and her lover twitch in my boot print. Satisfied that I had gotten my point across I looked back to Percy.

"You were saying Mister Jackson?"

"Oh! Um… right. My last request was for the titans that help Olympus be set free. Titans like Calypso have suffered enough, they all deserve a second chance."

"Again, Easily done… tell you what, I'll even hop down to your camp and build the cabins myself."

"I- Thank you Lord C-"

"Call me Blake, none of that Lord nonsense. I'm not like these pompous clowns sitting on their thrones blissfully ignorant of the pain and suffering their own children go through."

"Lord Corvinus, I must insist-"

"Shut the fuck up Hera, I have words for you

I turned to the room,

"Right, this council is dismissed everyone fuck off back to where you came. Kids, I'll see you in a bit. Feel free to explore Olympus if you want to wait. If anyone gives you trouble Selene and Lena will be with you to handle it."

Selene smirked before stepping off her throne and shrinking back down to human size. She escorted the demigods out of the throne room followed closely by Lena who waved at the Olympians.

Once the demigods had all filed out of the throne room I got up off of my throne and turned to Hera. The goddess of marriage looked at me with trepidation. I mentally set Gamer's Mind to the max so that I didn't completely annihilate the woman.

"Hera, first I want to thank you for giving me a chance to live life again after dying so unexpectedly. "

Hera nodded.

"But, now we get to the problem."

The other gods tried to get up to leave. I unleashed the full force of my Divine Aura Skill to use. The air became thick with my power. The room rumbled around us as a tremor built up around me. The Olympians slumped back onto their thrones gasping for air.

"None of you are leaving this room, not until I say you can. Except you Hestia, you have done right by me, I know you do your best to keep the peace and you look out for the demigods. There's only so much you can do though being ignored as you are. I plan on fixing that before I leave."

"Thank you Lord Corvinus."

"Now, as I was saying. Hera, my biggest problem was learning that you've been manipulating me and potentially my family for centuries. The Fates had a hand in this too no doubt, it was them who proclaimed me your king after all."

A flash of light signaled their arrival, I glanced over to them and frowned. They had taken their younger forms and were looking at me with unreadable expressions.

"I'll get to you three after I'm done with Hera, so be a good trio of girls and wait… I don't know your reasons Hera, I don't care to find out either. From this day forth, your manipulations, the lies, anything else you've been forcing in me stops."

"It was all for your own good."

"My own good? I wouldn't have died if you hadn't 'accidentally' killed me. I wouldn't have had to become what I am now… though I guess I have to thank you for making me what I am because now I have the power to make sure that nothing can ever make me do something I don't want to do."

"Blake Corvinus, formerly Corvin. We are charging you with this tas-"

I raised a hand and froze the three sisters. Their eyes widened in fear.

"You must have not heard me. I. Refuse. To. Be. Anyones. Puppet."

I felt my hold on them straining and frowned, a quick scan of their stats told me that they shouldn't have been able to free themselves. My hold on their bodies lifted and they shot me matching glares. I drew Dark Sister instinctively ready for a fight when Hera jumped in front of the Fates.

"Blake stop!"

I growled in anger, "Hera step out of the way, I don't have any qualms about killing you to get to them. You've all had hands in fucking with my life up to this point."

"Stop and just listen to them." Hera pleaded.

"Why? So they can rope me into doing more shit that I'd rather not do? I've fulfilled my end of our little agreement. I've dealt with Kronos. I can leave this world to burn."

"What about the demigods?"

"You mean your children? Please, don't act like you've suddenly started caring for them. I may not be from this world but I am keenly aware of the history you have with indirectly killing demigods."

"I- Blake, just…"

"The Earth Mother stirs once more, Blake Corvinus. It is your duty to protect this world."

"Oh fuck off, you don't control me."

"Then we shall take what we have given you back and return you to your origina-"

Dark Sister hovered mere inches away from the Fates. It's deadly point aimed right for the one in the middle's eye. I had thrown the sword faster than Hera could react and maneuvered it through the air with my powers.

"Are you threatening me?"

"We are mer-"

"It's a yes or no question. Are. You. Threatening. Me."

Each word I enunciated by moving the sword closer as the Fates tried to back away. I thought about the plausibility of them taking my powers. They did allegedly give them to me, theoretically they could take it away. Then again, I had gotten powerful enough to rival gods. I wasn't taking any chances. Losing my Gamer System meant potentially losing all of my powers and losing all of my powers meant that my family would be one line of defense short. Sure Selene and Lena could take care of themselves but like I said. I wasn't taking any chances.

"Speak quickly Moirai, my patience is wearing thin."

"The Earth Mother Stirs, a new prophecy will be unveiled. Seven will embark, five will return. Countless will perish. Unless you intervene."

"Earth Mother? Prophecy…" I let out a sigh. "And if I don't?"

"This world will once again be in danger of being destroyed. The Earth Mother will rise, the seven will not be able to stop her. The giants and old gods will rise and bring ruin."

"I'm going to stop you there. It seems to me like you're adding more shit to do every time you three speak. So, in short. I kill this Earth Mother and stop another apocalypse, is that right?"

"The death of the Earth Mother will bring forth calami-"

"Then how the fuck will I deal with it eh?"

"She must be put to sleep once more."

"That's fucking stupid, sounds like way too much effort. Why not just kill her and be done with it."

"Her life is tied to the earth, should she die so too will the world."

"Fantastic, why not throw in another obstacle in there. Why not make it so that certain conditions have to be met so that she can be put to sleep, maybe some convoluted ritual, virgins blood, bone of my father… that sort of thing."

The three Fates looked at me with a curious expression, somewhat akin to 'how did you know'. I glared at them feeling my temper slowly building despite Gamer's Mind regulating my emotions.

"Are you fucking kidding me? There is some sort of ritual?"

The Olympians had been watching the back and forth silently. They noticed the flash of light signaling the arrival of another divine, I did not. My attention was focused on trying to burn the Fates to ashes with my eyes.

"It's not as complicated as you think." A new voice spoke from behind me. One that I was very familiar with.

The Olympians drop to their knees, the Fates practically cowered in fear… well, more fear. Hera's eyes widened in shock before she also fell to her knees.

"L-lady Chaos… wh- to what do we owe the pleasure of your presence."

The Fates sounded more afraid than they had been of me. Then again from the things I had read 'Lady Chaos' or 'Chaos' had been the creator of this entire universe. She was their goddess as much as they were the mortals. I felt the power radiating from the being behind me, it was painfully clear that I was outmatched. Only made sense since this was basically 'The Creator' behind me. For once in my life I felt like an ant with a boot hovering over me. Slowly turning I prepared to teleport away. If I was fast enough I could grab my family and disappear.

"Come now, is that any way to treat your mother?" The voice teased.

I spun around in shock, my heart was beating out of my chest. Disbelief mixed with confusion bundled up with surprise.

"Mom?"
