16. We Stop Now, Cause We Starting

In a dark and dim lit room. 2 goblins stood.

"How has the village 14 and 15 been?"

"The black figure has disappeared, he was last sighted around the kingdoms perimeter."

"Strengthen the defense. Don't let that thing enter this kingdom. Call the 9 Kings."

"I shall, my liege!"

"Well that book sucked. I mean, that's it?" The book Arthur read stated a breif history of the past. After completing this brief description of the past, the book was just filled with blank pages.

"Well probably just lazy writing, we go to the next!"

After learning a bit about the goblins. First and foremost, is that they believe that this place is the whole world, and outside the water, is nothing.

After learning a little about the history, Arthur wanted to learn about the sword. Arthur had some little past of fighting, but it was never with a sword. With his new skill, he needed to learn some things about it.

But the problem is, the entire library had no entry on swords. No introduction, nor basics. It was all just countless techniques that were rotting in this grand library.

"It's just creepy that there is no one in this library-"

"No one! Huh!"

Suddenly, a goblin that was actually the size that Arthur knew, appeared. It was not a normal goblin either though. It was a gray goblin.

"Who the fuck are you?"

"I am this great library's librarian, my name is Book, nice to meet you."

Arthur raised his left eye brow in confusion.

"Your name is Book? Well that's... (word I don't know). Well I forgot the word, i'm just a mortal."

"Is there any book you would want to read?". Perfect, it was exactly what Arthur needed. A help from someone who knows the library.

"Then, do you know where the books about sword introductions are at?". Arthur asked.

"Sword introductions..." Book, stretched his lips and rubbed his chin. "I don't know."

Arthur almost comicly flipped. A librarian who doesn't know where his own books are at? Blasphemy!

But the face of Book looked serious, like he actually didn't know the location of such a book.

"Are you not the librarian?"

"I am, but who said I read books?". Once again, Arthur almost flipped comicly. Arthur wondered who put such an incompetent person as a librarian.

"Stop playing with him book."

A voice came from above Arthur. It was a goblin that looked and sounded exactly the same as Book. Arthur immediately knew, this was his twin and the actual librarian.

"Oh come on, I was just having fun.". Book pouted. Quite frankly, that didn't match his look whatsoever.

The goblin jumped down and introduced himself. "My name is Pen, I am Book's twin brother!".

Arthur didn't even care about the book at the moment as much as knowing who named these goblins.

But Arthur really wanted that book so he removed that thought and asked.

"So then, Pen do you know where books about sword introductions are at?".

"How would I know.". The third time, it was the third time Arthur almost flipped comicly. Arthur just raged in his mind on who the fuck were the goblins in front of him. Are they messing with him or are they just stupid.

"What do you mean how would you know? Are you not the librarian?". Pen, twisted his head to look at Book and flicked it fast again to look at Arthur. He then pointed at Book and said. "But- he's the librarian not me.". Ahh- Arthur just wanted to scream he didn't even want to talk to these two idiots.

His entire time was just being wasted. "Then what do you mean by he should stop playing around."

"Cause he was playing with his fingers?" Oh fuck these two i'll say it. My fucking god-

"Oh now I remember. It's on the third floor shelf 47." Arthur was surprised, the goblin did know. "So you did know!".

Then Book replied with. "I am 1000 years old, it's normal. Anyway go! go! It's my coffee time."

And that reply almost made Arthur comicly lose his soul. How many twists and turns will this world show him. 'I thought, I came from the earliest time in year 100, how the fuck is there a 1000 year old goblin. As much as I don't wanna think about this plot that will happen at the end volume 1, I just what the fuck!'.

Arthur went to the third floor and looked for the number 47. But stupidly enough, Arthur couldn't see the numbers at all. So while wasting that time to ask, he still needed to search the entire library. Arthur had to save just to save time at that point.

Finally, after looking for the right book, he finally found it.

"The Sword, The World's Most Common Weapon."

Arthur picked that book. Inside the book was just words, words that rambled about how swords were overrated and were weak and useless. But before Arthur closed the book, it started to pique his interest.

"The sword is way too easy, and fine i'll show you why."

As Arthur flipped the book, the system activated and the book showed him sword stances that shows how the sword was not for the talented but for the untalented.

The book described many factors in near perfect text and images.

"What the, so that means... Do I just read sword books? Cause I wanted to practice the books and learn the skill itself."

The skill [Sword King] was a unique skill, unlike the others who were basically always active, or including a specific result when activated the [Sword King] didn't.

When Arthur used it the first time, his body just magically moved to act the first form of the sword.

That's when Arthur learned he had to learn this sword, and not just cheat his way. But as much as he wanted to do so, he couldn't. The skill only showed him one move, and as Arthur tried to even upgrade the skill. It never appeared in the upgrade section at all.

Now Arthur knows it is based on understanding of the sword and such.

"Am I really going to a training arc this early in the story? Ok maybe I should, then we overpower everyone then we redo. YEP!". Arthur didn't stop at that moment. He read almost every book on the shelf that towers 10 feet from the ground and hundreds of books per layer.

In the end after those painstakingly fun reading sessions Arthur managed to upgrade his skill to level 3.

"Well only level 3... Maybe.... If I reread everything again and understand more now after I read them already...".

Arthur just did that, and it showed faster results than he expected.

From just the words and shapes and forms, Arthur wondered how these few words could change him so much.

It was not only his skill, but even Arthur himself started to change.

"The Sword is not a weapon. It is just an extension for as you are the weapon."

"Be one with the soul, be with one with the sword."

"Don't treat a sword as a weapon, treat it as your limb."

"Words can hurt, stares could make fear, one step could move a battlefield, the brain can overturn the heavens, now how about a sword?"

"Dance like the wind, walk like the water, stand like the rocks, move like the trees, you are one and all is one."

"A sword is not to protect, a sword is not to harm, a sword is not to win war, a sword is not to take revenge, a sword is to survive."

"Think of the sun and kill it, think of the moon and kill it, think of your enemies and save them."

"A sword is easy to use, but a sword is hard to learn."

More and more books later, Arthur, after days of reading, and enlightenment, Arthur unlocked the unique feature of the skill [Sword King]

"Nice names, I have to go to the plains now, and study these swords, and for the meantime, I have been for so long, things should have happened by now. I'll be back."

In a dark and dim lit room once more.

"My liege, we have found the location of the black figure." The goblin came rushing out of breath. He then kneels.

"Where is it!" The goblin smashed his desk.

"He was last seen behind mount Kuri. We first thought that he was just there to look for a back entrance above mount Kuri."

"Don't tell me..." The goblin's body trembled and his legs felt numb.

"We speculate that the black figure was a man of the Cult."

"Damn it! Didn't I tell you to assemble the 9 Kings!"

"They are arriving tomorrow, my liege."

"Leave!"

The goblin then left the room and the other goblin was left alone in the room.

"You have started to move once again... brother."
